The woman known as Olga Veik was born aboard a space freighter to a Devaronion woman who died shortly after giving birth to her. It wasn’t too long before infant was dropped off on the world of Mindor. There she was adopted by an aging couple, Del and Sari Veik and who had no children of their own. Growing up on a farm as a child Ogla eventually gained a driven passion for hard work and being self reliant.
Being the only alien in a remote community Ogla from an early age endured much discrimination by neighbors and strangers alike. This treatment only pushed Olga further to prove herself. While still constantly dealing with xenophobia the young Devornion eventually proved herself to be a clever organizer having been taught by her adopted parents. At age eighteen in spite of the odds she managed to enroll at a college in the planetary capital.
Her dream to study in order to become a lawyer and fight for her community’s rights that have been struggling due to Imperial economic demands. Instead she was denied that for being an alien and forced to study Agriculture much to her bitter disappointment.
Even so she secretly study law anyway and became attracted to a human student named Deran Folle who seemed to treat her more as a person than others. They eventually began to see each other behind closed doors and for a time Ogla believed they could have a life together and fight the system.
Yet weeks later Ogla was suddenly arrested by the authorities while sleeping in her dorm. It was to her utter shock as she saw Deran standing with the Imperials, denounced her as an enemy of the state. Cursing her former lover Ogla was taken at age twenty-two. For the next few years the Devaronion was imprisoned on Tanaab and worked near death in the main labor camp there.
This hellish existence came to an end when the Mandalorians invaded the world. A strike team lead by Koli Solus assault the camp that Ogla was in. Because of the raid she managed to escape along with others. She returned home, finding her parents and community suffering from the chaos of the war.
She helped rebuild the community, becoming a respected yet unofficial leader. In the following years she became an underground activist, starting a grass roots movement. Following the Empire’s disbandment she became part of the new planetary government. Soon after she was appointed to represent Mindor in the Republic.

Driven is what one can accurately describe Ogla Viek. Having spent much of her life looked down and oppressed for not being human she has developed a cynical and somewhat ruthless outlook. Ogla is not someone who abides laziness and scorns those who waste their talents from her point of view.
She enjoys the outdoors and loves to be busy whether at work or not. Games of chance and strategy are among her favorite things to do. Not to mention, reading, gardening and wood carving.
While truly grateful for the Mandalorians for liberating her, she doesn't always agree with them on every issue. However, the new senator keeps that opinion to herself more occupied with safeguarding Mindor’s future and punishing Imperial supporters. As a victim of anti alien bigotry she is highly suspicious of anything seen as promoting human agenda over the common good. Not to mention very bias against the Core Worlds, blaming them bitterly for their role in the former Empire
On another the rest of the galaxy is rather new to her minus the exile on Tanaab. She is still forming her opinions about it all. Regardless Ogla Veik is determined to meet the challenge to represent her homeworld regardless of her own flaws.
