Nar Shaddaa

Sitting in the cantina, I watched her guzzle water three tables from me. As the waiter came over, I ordered a bowl of soup for the witch, anonymously of course.

Nine minutes later, the waiter brought her dish. I watched, as she stared into the dish curiously. Rising from my seat, I walked behind her. My right hand shoves her face into the soup bowl while my left pressed her left shoulder to the table, hindering her movement. The intention was to drown her in the soup, but as I looked around I realized how many civilians were in proximity, once eating, now in shock. It was a witch, too dangerous.

Shadow Conclave assassin Lucius Vasch looked on through a window with utmost curiosity, leaning against the outside of the cantina. He'd been tracking the Mandalorian "Mirdala Priest" for some time now, and that had brought him here. While Mirdala might not know it, someone wanted him alive very badly. Badly enough that they signed an Oblation of Ash for him, paying a high sum for his capture. As he'd taken up the Mantle, Lucius was fully clad in his usual equipment and helmet with the exception of Thernbee venom coating all his vibroblades. He also carried two EMP grenades and two SG-4 grenades. He was ready to roll.

But after witnessing Mirdala attempt "assassinating" this poor woman, Lucius couldn't help but break into laughter even as the rest of the civilians looked at the Mandalorian in shock. "Is that how you treat all your hit targets before offing them? To a bowl of soup?" Lucius jeered, leaving the wall of the cantina and stepping out into the street, staying about 10 meters from Mirdala. "I'd actually love some, though I'll take it after I'm finished I think—"

With that, Lucius extended his left wrist-blade while snatching and activating one of his EMP grenades behind his back. Set to impact, he threw the grenade at Mirdala's feet while moving to the left, shooting a round of the Thunderbuster on his left gauntlet toward the Mandalorian's torso and moving further out into the street.

"Is that how you treat all your hit targets before offing them? To a bowl of soup?"

Hmm?

Separating himself from the cantina wall, the man came into my vision. Dark robes, confident movements, his attention seemingly on me. I must've walked right past him as I exited the pub. Which meant he was as good or better at Tradecraft than I was. Sure it was night, sure my vision was retricted to the T-Visor, sure he was wearing dark robes; but in this game there were no excuses. Only actions and consequence.

My poncho villa was concealing the fact I had my Parallax pistols gripped at my sides in both hands. I had drawn them expecting a duel with the witch. Now that the Shadow Warrior was actively toying with me, I holstered my left hand pistol, preferring a classical two handed grip on a single pistol for possible egagements with multiple targets.

As I extended the blade on my left wrist, Shadowman did the same. Great minds --

Whether it was his robes, or the poor night vision in my helmet, I hadn't seen his right hand reaching until he was already in the process of throwing the grenade. Not knowing what threat was leaving his fingers for the air, I activated my Z-4 and shot upwards and towards Shadowman at a 45 degree angle. Cutting thrusters by 85% I began descending within 5 meters of my target when the jetpack failed. My HUD flicked out and then back on again as I hit the street in a side roll to my left, the momentum of the fall tumbling me twice before I could get my legs under to skid to a halt.

EMP grenade. HUD up, jetpack temporarily down, meaning flamethrower down. Being just inside the radius and nit at the center must've weakened the effects of the explosive. I'd have to assume my tech would be temperamental, keep it simple for the time being.

I needed to close the distance. As I began to rise from the street he extended his arm towards me, and a thunderclap startled me as I hit the street flat on my chest again. The blast went overhead and would've been centermass if I had kept rising to my feet. Wrist launcher heavy blaster. Left hand. Noted.

Pushing up from the pavement, I got my legs under me and sprang forward, rolling my shoulders forward to absorb recoil, extending my elbows, slightly bent to absorb recoil, muzzle moving within line of sight towards target, squeeze. Recoil is light with the Parallax, is managed easily, going for a tight grouping, muzzle falls back into line of sight, squeeze.

First shot was intended for clavicle, second for throat.

(from now on I'll have two spoilers in the beginning of every entrance post that includes her weapons and attire, of which will probably just be copy+pasted the majority of the time XD)
DX-38 Holdout Blaster Pistol
A concealed blaster pistol holstered in an inconspicuous location. It's been modded to have larger iron sights, a grip with built-in heat absorption, and an elegant black paint job.

KTEC 20XX Sniper Rifle
Zisria's customized version of the slugthrower sniper rifle doesn't have any major upgrades that make it completely different from the standard variant, although there are a few noteworthy modifications. The first is a bipod attached under the barrel with arms that can be brought together allowing the user to either fold them for more compact storage, or use them as a somewhat bulky grip; the feet of the bipod are magnetic and equipped with deployable spikes, allowing for optimized weapon-stability in both the wilderness and modern urban environments. The second mod is a 'hybrid suppressor' attached to the barrel; it's a modification that works as a high-quality suppressor, which makes firing the weapon much more silent, but with a flash-hider built into its design. The third and final noteworthy modification is a rangefinder that's been integrated into the rifle's high-powered scope. There are also two less interesting additions to the sniper; a sling made of tough fibers, allowing Zisria to carry the weapon with ease, and a shiny new black coat of paint that gives the weapon a much more intimidating appearance.

Curved-Hilt Lightsaber
A generally pretty normal lightsaber with a jet-black curved-hilt made of Phrik, as well as a purple blade.

SA-17 "Mercy" Stun Gun
A generic non-lethal stun gun painted dark grey. It has absolutely no modifications at all whatsoever, unless you count the paint of course.
She's outfitted with a customized version of the MMCA (Multipurpose Mobile Combat Armor). She chose not to equip the helmet due to the way it limits her sight and chose to instead wear only two parts of the set: the jumpsuit and armor, both of which have been modified. For the jumpsuit she's simply woven Scatterweave into its materials, as well as made it more "tightly-hugging" *wink* in order to make it form to her body's shape a bit more. Although it may appear rather 'indecent' the second part of the set covers up her revealing choice of attire. Speaking of which, the armor has had its plates made slightly thinner, making the effectiveness of the armor-plates moderately reduced while simultaneously increasing its maneuverability/flexibility. To top it all off she wears a black, hip-length cloak made of Scatterweave, Armorweave, and various leathers and fabric. The cloak isn't designed to protect but rather to utilize the Scatterweave combined with her high mobility in order to not only make her a a tough target to hit, but a tough one to find as well.

Her violet eyes sparkled brilliantly with the reflection of various holosigns which covered Nar Shadaa, the home of criminals and entrepreneurs alike. 'It really is a beautiful city, well, from afar at least. It's a shame that it belongs to those oversized worms and their band of misfits.' She thought to herself, bored out of her mind. Ever since the incident with those slavers when she was twenty she grew a considerable disliking towards most criminals of the sort, however she doesn't blame them for wanting to enslave Twi'lek girls, they certainly are quite...attractive.

Zisria had been waiting on the roof of a building for what seemed like an eternity; it was reasonably tall and stood at around two-hundred meters high, not only that but it was also a perfect spot to set up a sniper, being only several meters off of three-and-a-half hundred meters away from the cantina where Mirdala sat. She'd been twirling her hair around her finger for about half an hour when she'd finally received word from her lookout outside the cantina, "Hello, are you there Mistress?"

"It's Dark Mistress, and yes, I'm here."
She replied into her disposable comm-device in a teasing tone.

"It seems like we've got some activity. The Mandalorian, well... *ahem* -he seemed to have shoved a woman's face into a bowl of soup an-"

Zisria interrupted him abruptly, responding in an upset tone "I swear, if you contacted me during comm silence just to tell me about how he shoved someone's face into a bowl of-..." she trailed off into a deep sigh before continuing to speak "Just get back to your post dear, lest the target notices you; you're of no use to me dead."

"Sorry Mistress, but I wasn't done talking." the lookout quickly stated before continuing "There's another man who just got here; he's dressed in black, and has a blade on his wrist. It looks like he's about to start fighting with-"

"Khunu!" Ziria practically screamed, insulting the lookout in Mirialan, a language the poor boy probably didn't even understand. "Why didn't you say that first?!" She continued to yell as she rushed over to the edge of the roof where she'd already set up her weapon.

"Calm down, it all happened so fast, I'm sorry! Would you like me to continue explaining the situation? "

"I've a sniper, you moron, I can see them!"
She continued to vent her frustration as she prepared her rifle and took aim, waiting for a good opportunity to fire, knowing that as soon as she does the element of surprise will be gone. "It's the same sniper that I could've used to kill the bastard as soon as you saw him, but I suppose it was too much to hope that you'd do your damned job and notify me of anyone that looked suspicious!" Zisria began to calm down as she continued to speak "Just...go, you incompetent fool. I no longer require your service."

"But what about my payment? I was promised a hundred credits!"

Zisria snapped back at him instantly, it was obvious from how bitchy she sounded the irate tone of her voice that she was out of patience. "I'm not a mean person. Of course I won't let you walk away with nothing, so instead I'll let you walk away with your life; it doesn't really matter though, both are equal in worth..." As she finished speaking Zisria couldn't help but laugh as she watched him run away in fear through the scope of her rifle.

Once she'd gotten rid of that thorn in her side she turned her attention, as well as the end of her sniper's barrel, over to the two warriors who were beginning to engage in combat.
"Now then, it's time for the main performance."

OOC: Your timing is slightly off as Lucius shot his Thunderbuster shortly after throwing the grenade, but it'd still have missed since Mirdala boosted outta the way :P

A highly reactive opponent — Lucius would expect no less from a Mandalorian in their prime. The jetpack carried Mirdala out of most of the blast radius, but the Disciple's efforts hadn't gone to waste as the EMP still shorted out the jetpack, flamethrower, and presumably whatever grenades he had on hand. It was a miracle his pistol was out of range, or its active clip would need to be switched out.

As Mirdala flew through the air towards the ground after his jetpack shorted, Lucius kicked his repulsorboots into action and activated one of his SG-4 grenades — nonlethal and set to impact. Already having been moving left, the repulsorboots further increased the 5-meter distance between the two combatants when the Shadow Conclave Disciple threw the SG-4 at Mirdala. Without a functioning jetpack and him having just slowed down from his second tumble, there was little Lucius could see his target doing to escape from its incapacitating effects to stand up and begin firing back. Just in case, he pulled out his ElectroMag bolas and began twirling them in his left hand, quickly circling Mirdala with his highly mobile repulsorboots.

Cool! Also I'll write in the more complete effect of the EMP in this post.
As I skid the tumble to a slow halt, my eyes move towards Shadowman, intent on assaulting through the distance separating us. Motion high, caught my eye. Parallax in right hand, my elbow snapped out, leading the moving target, and squeeze.
Click.
Misfire.

Oh come on -
I shove the malfunctioning sidearm in it's holster as the canister bounces of my faceplate, pitching me sideways like a girl getting hit in the head with a softball. This softball must've been set to detonate on impact because it only fell away from my body to about armpit level before opening a freight train of pain in the form of a single pulse of deafening force.

The wave was like being taken by the current without any ocean. My bones felt like jelly, a persistent heat was itching in every pore of my skin, the heat so sudden it was absolutely cold. Vaguely aware, in a very detached manner, I was quite amused to note my body cartwheeling through the air, like a toy thrown by a child having a tantrum. Then nothing.

Ground must've stopped my fall. There was a tingling throughout my body, and a nudging concern to pull myself back to the moment. Couldn't hear anything, it was quiet. Turning my head I see the robed figure twirling something beside his body.

Hmm. No good.

Like a man startled out of sleep, rolling over, I attempt to get my legs under me, fight or flight.

Nothing.

Unfocused eyes on the assassin, and as my body fails to respond, that cold tingling intensifies throughout my pores, almost soothing the blackout-
blanket- no blackout of consciousness as it closed my vision.

I don't really feel the need to add much detail to this post, so it'll be pretty straightforward

Zisria had planned this out beforehand, however she definitely expected to be shooting the Mandalorian, not some random troublemaker...

"Target's 'actual distance' is approximately four-hundred meters, taking into account other variables- including that robed idiot's constant movement -I should be able to hit him..." She steadied her aim, exhaling slowly as she squeezed the trigger, "...now."

The bullet silently shot from the rifle, its flash hidden by the modified suppressor attached to the end of the barrel. As the .408 round began traveling through the air with force equal to that of a heavy blaster rifle, its intended target suddenly activated their repulsorboots, causing the bullet to dramatically miss and fly past him.

"Son of a Hutt!" she whispered angrily "Why can't I just catch a break..?" Zisria whined while quickly readjusting her aim, only able to target Lucius' chest due to the rushed nature of the action. Her target had pulled out a weapon which appeared to be two spheres connected by some sort of chain, and with another slow exhale she fired as quickly as she could.

A=the target's (Mirdala's and Lucius') position
B=the building's collinear position to the target
C=Zisria's position on top of the building

AB=346.41 meters=Zisria's HORIZONTAL distance to the target
BC=200 meters=Zisria's VERTICAL distance to the target
CA=400 meters=Zisria's ACTUAL distance to the target

<ABC=90° (assuming the building is perpendicular to the target's position)
<BCA=60°
<CAB=30°

[there's a lot more variables that go into firing a weapon, but that shit's too complicated for an RP post]

Boom. Target down.

A whizzing noise pierced the air as the slug zipped into the ground nearby Lucius' feet. Another sniper? Man, they just can't leave me alone, can they! he thought as he zigzagged in a random pattern the short distance to Mirdala. As the SG-4 grenade had blasted the Mandalorian's body away, he was several meters further from the sniper's position on the building previously 400 meters away. Another slug thudded dully into the ground as Lucius reached the fallen Mandalorian.

Having pulled out a syringe full of sedative in the second or two it took to reach him, Lucius quickly pulled Mirdala's helmet up just enough for him to inject the needle. That would definitely keep him down for however long Lucius needed to get out of the sniper's range.

The Disciple then grabbed Mirdala under the arms and pulled again in an irregular zigzag toward a nearby alleyway. With the help of his repulsorboots, Lucius increased the distance between himself and the well-concealed sniper by another several meters.

Destroyer
The cool, itchy, tingling that had soothed me asleep like a lost beach breeze, was slowly fading. In it's place was forming a small void, pulling all but the darkness away into emptiness. I was born dead. Is this what Life felt like? No. Life was feeling, I only felt empty. Alone. But I wasn't.

Through the black veil of darkness I could feel the Shadow moving. Watching the ripples, like a black silk sheet blowing in the silent winds. So close, non-existent fingers near my face, the darkness intensifying as a Shadow fell over the stillness of the dark itself.

I wasn't alone. But I'm alive.

I felt fingers brush my face as they pushed under my helmet. Grabbing the wrist the hand belonged too, with both my hands, I pull the arm across my body. With his arm pressed against his same side carotid artery, I threw my opposite leg behind his head, and rested my opposite leg behind my knee in the instep. Squeezing my legs, arching, I pull the back of his head towards my abdomen, executing a 'triangle choke.'

If the choke was countered before I established the lock, I would maintain control of the arm in both my hands, plant one shin in his groin and the other foot inside his hip, flipping him over my body.

If the flip was countered I would plant my feet and push the Shadow Warrior back, creating space for me to get my feet under me and draw my machete.

'It seems like my robed friend is quite crafty, perhaps I should get a bit closer.' She thought for a moment while keeping her aim zeroed in on the alleyway's entrance, waiting for one of them to emerge as she came to a conclusion. 'If I can make my way over to "Point B" I should be able to get a clearer shot, though I'm not sure how long it'll take.' Zisria sat up from her shooting position, gathering her things and preparing for a good session of parkour.

"If I have to find that Mandalorian again I'm going to hunt down that other idiot and flay him alive..." She said with a sigh, doing a few quick stretches before she began her short journey; if all went well she'd have a shot that'd be a hundred meters closer, as well as a healthy workout.

Lucius managed to push under the helmet with his left hand, but it was violently pulled upward across Mirdala's body with a strong two-handed grip. Due to the position of his hand under the helmet, he still managed to reveal enough to be able to inject the anesthetic with his right hand, which would likely take no longer than ten seconds to take effect. The Mandalorian's legs whipped up, putting the Disciple into a well-performed chokehold. Gah, let's hope that sniper lays off, Lucius though as he scrunched his neck, his helmet protecting him from being fully affected by the chokehold.

However affected Mirdala was by the sonic grenade, he was clearly more resilient and stalwart than Lucius initially figured. Mandalorians. His right hand still free and no longer holding the syringe, Lucius activated his wrist-mounted foam spray in an attempt to cover the entire front of Mirdala's helmet. He'd never gotten the chance to use the comically effective gadget until today.

Poison
Having pulled the Shadow cross body and eliminated the space between us, I had gained control of his left arm, neutralizing the threat of his gauntlet's blade and blaster. Nauseous and vision slightly blurred, my perception registered my enemy raising his right arm, but only in time to clash my left forearm with his descending wrist. Tensing, we struggled in a test of strength. Due to his left arm being pulled crossbody there was only so much body movement he could apply to the attack. However, being atop me, his body weight combined with the intensity of his determination was slowly inching his hand towards my exposed neck. I couldn't make out the weapon he held, but I knew I didn't want it near me. My left arm shook from the effort, the blurry object was still inches from my--

Something pricked my neck.

Needle.

The blurry object was a syringe and I didn't see the needle. Thick, slow, ice cold slushy made it's way into my blood stream. Startled, I instinctively scrunched my helmet towards my shoulder, the motion snapping the needle from the syringe. He may not had chance to empty the entire syringe, but whatever was freezing my blood presently was slowly crawling, up my neck and down my chest.

Throwing my leg over and locking the triangle in, I pulled his head down trying to blood choke the assassin, but something was keeping space in the choke, allowing oxygen to his brain. The cold was intensifying as the slushy worked its way through my bloodstream. He was raising his hand again. My vision had cleared and he wasn't holding a weapon this time. Suddenly something fired from his gauntlet and everything went black.

For a second I thought he shot me in the face. Still cold. I'm alive. Still cold. I'm blind. Fear Monkey grabbed me by my ears and began to have it's way with me. Beginning to panic.

Stay cool.

........

I had to stop him and I had to do that quickly. I was dead, I could feel the poison slowing my systems down. This wickedness in my bloodstream was working bad hoodoo on me. I didn't have long. Dead but not alone. Never alone.

His left arm was trapped under his head. His head secured via triangle choke, my legs locked tight. Keeping my right hand behind his head and maintaining pressure, I slip my left wrist blade under his chin, applying force upwards to his throat, away from my body. Sawing ferociously, knowing I had seconds before I checked out. What I wanted was underneath his skin, behind those vocal cords. I wanted his blood.

"Come on, just a little further..." She spoke to herself between breaths as she leapt from roof to roof, pushing herself with The Force as much as she could. What motivated her at this point wasn't getting that Mandalorian, she wanted the Bounty Hunter's blood; how dare he screw up what was supposed to be an easy task?!

With a final grunt she propelled herself upon the secondary position's roof at full speed, landing with a graceful tumble before taking a mere moment to catch her breath, almost immediately sprinting over to the edge of the roof and laying down before deploying her rifle's bipod, steadying her aim as she looked down the sniper's scope.

"Where are you, worm?" The hateful words rolled off of her tongue, her Imperial accent emphasized the disdainful nature of the insult.

Lucius felt the needle snap, but it didn't matter. At least half of the general anesthetic made its way into his bloodstream, and he'd be asleep in a few seconds. Feeling the Mandalorian let go of Lucius' left arm and pull the back of his head with Mirdala's right arm, the Conclave agent quickly grabbed the Mando's left wrist and forearm with both his hands. The blade made contact with his throat, slicing the armorweave fabric protecting it and almost enough to draw blood. Lucius put all his strength into both arms, keeping the wristblade pushed away.

Lucius knew he needed to get into cover for whenever that sniper decided to shoot again. Well, also to get out with this tough beast. The alleyway that kept Lucius' speeder was less than 10 meters away. Calling upon the Force to imbue his legs, the assassin pushed off the dusty street one leg at a time, dragging Mirdala as he made his way into the alley. Perpendicular to the street, it was on the same side of the street the sniper was currently positioned and between two large buildings, giving it cover. Mirdala would likely have gone limp with the drug by the time Lucius reached the alleyway.

'Well then, there goes my mandalorian...' Zisria thought to herself with a disappointed frown as she'd finally spotted her target.

Her sad expression curled into a smile as she giggled and quipped, attempting to cheer herself up. "It's never simple. Can't a woman shoot someone without interruption, or is the galaxy really that rude?" With that she took aim and squeezed the trigger, it was her final chance to stop the pesky troublemaker. The rifle fired as usual; with a suppressed bullet flying from the barrel, and a lack of any flash.

If the slug round traveled as it was intended to, despite the difficult angle she was shooting at- of which didn't faze her all that much, it should land in Lucius' soon to be bloodied throat. Even if it didn't penetrate his armor, the bullet's force was strong enough to do some damage against the boy's ever-so-delicate neck. Although if she'd somehow missed her target, the bullet would impact one of three places; his chest, shoulders, or head. However it was also somewhat equally possible for her shot to miss completely, hitting the ground either beside or behind him.

The Mandalorian's body finally went limp as the two neared the alleyway. Should've been paid more for this contract... Lucius thought, when suddenly the incredibly pesky sniper shot again. He'd become careless, having had a moment's respite earlier. Due to the triangle lock, Mirdala's legs were still covering the sides of Lucius' neck and head. However, having lifted his right arm to stop the wristblade, the rifle's shot collided painfully into the Conclave agent's pauldron - causing him to flinch as the shockwave from the blast cracked the shoulder plate and likely did something to his arm.

"Kessing snipers," he swore, managing to push his target into the shadow of the alleyway. Nursing his arm, Lucius managed to dump the body into the back seat of his covered speeder, first clapping stun cuffs on and pulling off the Mandalorian's helmet. Pulling out a strange black flower, Lucius invoked the Force to ignite the petals and dropped it gently onto the ground. The rose's petals glowed red, absorbing the flames without turning to ash — such was the calling-card of the Shadow Conclave. The speeder roared to life, exited the alleyway and sped off in the opposite direction. Soon, Mirdala would be in the hands of the Imperial Legion many star systems away.

Zisria let out a disappointed sigh and began to pack up her equipment, there was no use chasing them at this point, all she could do now was wait for the Mandalorian to show up on her radar once again. However finding them would be difficult. Although she knew more than enough to be able to track down Mirdala, she had no idea who the kidnapper was or what his face looked like, she only knew the appearance of his armor. Besides that when it came to the immediate situation, it could be assumed that they got away on a speeder, but there's no way of knowing whether or not that's truly the case.

After taking a moment to analyze the situation, Zisria pulled out her communicator and began to record a short message, sending it out to her more 'trustworthy' informants. "I'm looking for two targets, one is a Mandalorian male, and the other is an unknown person who also appears to be male. The unknown person has recently kidnapped the Mandalorian on Nar Shaddaa, all other relevant information should be sent to you all shortly in a separate attachment. I'll provide a bountiful supply of credits for any leads regarding their current or future whereabouts, the specific amount will be negotiated upon receiving said information. Mistress, out."

Afterwards she proceeded to compile as much non-sensitive data she had on Mirdala and created a detailed account of what the kidnapper looked like, as well as his methods that she'd witnessed him utilize during combat. Not only that, but she also took note of the law-enforcement's reports, of which included details such as a "burning rose" that was left in the alley where the kidnapper presumably escaped. Once she felt she'd collected a sufficient amount of intel, Zisria forwarded the information to a multitude of assets; including her personal informants, various information-brokers, a few 'friendly' bounty hunters, and even several other assassins she's had the privilege of working with.

"Hopefully they won't be too easy to find, the hunt's never fun unless the prey's on the run~"
She remarked gleefully with a cheerful giggle.
