Newbie Needs a Criminal

Well. I'm new here, and itching to get some RP done. But I'd like, if possible, to start off with something relevant to my character rather than just some random bar-RP or somesuch.

I was thinking something along the lines of an investigation. Hoom could be trying to collect a bounty, or investigating a crime, or a half-dozen other things.

Someone could set up a crime scene, and it'd be up to Hoom to figure it out. I've got plenty of ideas running through my head, and I'd love to find someone to help flesh them out and give them form.

Anner- can I assume, then, that my character can enter on the scene? I noticed its an [Ask] thread. If your post is permission to go, I can assume that Hoom was alerted by the same signal that Karla used to notify Senatorial peace-keepers.

Behold, the might of copypaste. This was part of a PM i sent to BringmetheHorizon, except for the last part wich im modified for this post.

You're free to enter when you think it would be optimal for your character, and yet story-wise appropiate, i will use an old and already used example:

"Just lets try not to rush things, It would be like if in a movie, 10 minutes after the start, the bad guy reaches the girl for first time and suddenly batman comes out, kills the bad guy and ends the plot. People would be like: "What???" *dissapointed*"

With this i mean, possibly the "best" thing to do would be kidnap the kid right off the bat now, but that would leave Crunchy (CrazyMcCrocky, you're Crunchy) completely out of the plot. Crunchy is currently in the topic so it won't be a problem, but she ain't completely inside it yet and it wouldn't be the same as if, for example, Hoom rushes in and kills the thugs, saving Anner and ending the plot, that if Karla (Crunchy) gets kidnapped as well as Anner, and Hoom only has a few hours (or days) to work along a Vigilante that witnessed the scene (Azaran) and solve the case before they are completely out of reach and/or killed or something worse.

If you'd like to you can try to investigate the events surrounding the Pyro Massacre of Jade Galactic. The case remained untouched and the bounty is up there in the millions.
