Acknowledged @Dark child. I'll formulate a post when the requested delete is made i I guess. Yeah. I was alseep when that long Varian post was made and I was at work when the next one was posted. I had no chance to read or react before he moved.

So Varian attacked some legionaries?

@Dark child
just to make sure, I'm in the same area as Volken and Phyxsis? But with the post Infinitus that pits two against 1 so far.

I've requested that he remove that post.

You do not need to have Frankie fight Volken, but to make it a bit more fair Phyxsis and Frankie will be on the South side of the city with Volken.

Varian and Blightwing will be on the West side with Xanthier.

The Imperial landing zone is in the southwest. They are in the process of unloading the bulk of their forces there and have begun to spread into the city as well. It might be rather fun to have Frankie behind enemy lines at the beginning but that is up to you.

I'm sure we'll end up converging or scattering later though.

Yeah sounds great! I like the idea of being behind enemy lines. I was just a little confused about troop locations and PC locations. Thanks for the update!

I'm not sure if everyone has seen this or not but this is Ulysses's official picture of Damash to help give you inspiration:

For two reasons:
a) I have been slow and everything is going well without me; and
b) further additions would probably clutter things,
I will probably bow out of this one.
However, @Dark child, I would love to help with this campaign thing - in particular some NPC characters back at base to drive the missions

Sounds good. Keep me updated.

You do not have to wait until Infinitus's last post is deleted. Just go off the one before that as if it is not even there. Read what Varian did and then have Blightwing react based off of that.

Alright @Dark child. I posted. So I believe you are up now. If there is anything wrong with my post I'll fix it.

Direct actions against characters that give them no say in the matter are fine. But only if you clear that action with the writer beforehand.

In this case that would be Infinitus.

You see, by force choking Varian you have denied him the ability to defend himself. In PvP the opponent must always be able to block even if you are allies.

It may not seem like it, but force choking Varian is actually equivalent to Blightwing decapitating him. Varian had no say in the matter and therefore no defense.

There are only three exceptions to this rule:
1. Their character has been taken prisoner by your character and is therefor defenseless. To take a character prisoner you must beat them in open combat. i.e they loose consciousness and no one is there to save them or they surrender.

2. They have not replied to a PvP thread within 48 hours and have not stated OOC that they needed an extension due to that horrible thing called real life.
I would never kill a character this way since sometimes people can be without internet for a few days but should they not respond within that time any attacks automatically become hits.

3. You have attacked their character but they simply ignore the attack and refuse to edit their post even after you have told them to via PM or a OOC thread.

NPCs * have no rights and can therefore be killed at any time (as long as the events are realistic) by any PC.

Posting Order

"What is it?"
In short, it is a way to make sure no characters get skipped over and that everyone can react to events as they transpire.

"How does it work?"
People post in the order.

Order is good.

Now let me explain why with a couple of examples.

The characters Jack, Jill and John are all pirates and are all played by different people.

In the beginning all three of them are in a thread and it is going great. They are drinking, swashbuckling and doing whatever else pirates really enjoy, but then unfortunately Jack's writer has to leave to wash the car. Jill and John's writers decide that they are having too much fun and without asking Jack's writer they continue the thread. They don't play Jack's character persay, but they do add in little things here and there such as "Jack continued to sit in the corner drinking rum and looking sad. Suddenly, a large man approached him and demanded that he must give him Lucky Charms or face the penalty."

Jack's writer comes back later in the day only to discover that his character has been crossdressed and is set to hang in an hour all because the other writers thought that the Lucky Charms thing was hilarious and wrote almost the entire story without any input from Jack's writer.

...Perhaps that one was a bit too personal.

Here is an example using our posting order for the thread.

Frankie, after being surrounded by tribals, fires a signal flare after my turn in the hopes that the Imperials will see it and come to her aid.

Phyxsis triggers a trebuchet on accident and inadvertently causes an Imperial Interceptor to crash.

Varian splits a weakened bell tower in half with the force, causing it's left side to collapse.

Volken then force pushes Phyxsis into the bell which had tumbled down in the direction of both of them causing a loud gong to ring out over the city.

Blightwing casts out his hand sending a crackling bolt of force lightning directly at my character.

Since the events happened chronologically, my post would look something like this:

A bright red light which burned with an intensity that rivaled the sun caught Xanthier's attention and he could not help but allow himself become distracted as his eyes followed the burning object into the sky for several milliseconds, watching as it spit out red smoke as it ascended. The trail of smoke was soon broken for as he watched, an Imperial Interceptor flew directly through the red mist, is's fuselage aflame. Now descending rapidly towards the city below, the Interceptor seemed to bleed, the trail of smoke partially sucked down with it into oblivion.

A horrible crack snapped Xanthier back to his senses and he whipped around to see what the cause of the noise had been. Nothing could be seen, but the cracking soon subsided, now followed by a low rumbling noise and the sound of metal clanging against the earth.

His ears, it seemed, had betrayed him, for in his distraction Xanthier had not noticed the Marauder approaching from an alleyway to his left.

Pain erupted throughout his entire body as the surge of darkside energy struck him. Tendrils of electricity encoiled the dark haired man like vines made of pure agony. The metal chest plate of his armor which had served as protection now condemned him, feeding the energy directly into his heart and lungs.

Struggling to breathe and racked with pain, Xanthier crumpled to the ground. Face half pressed into the dirt he could hear his own breaths, and, off in the distance, a loud gong.

For a moment, nothing could be felt but the cold earth beneath him and his ragged breaths as his lungs slowly began to recover. Arcs of electricity fizzled and popped across the plates of his armor. His teeth clenched. The energy was dissipating, he could feel it.

This feels very DND to me, and I love it!!! If you'll have me, I'd love to be involved in a thread, particularly one involving @DraconicPsycho as Soren will possibly end up being his master. Either way I'd love to be a part in any way possible...

Hola mi amigos
Work was long last week. I don't know if you've ever had the pleasure of working sixteen hour shifts but it is not something I recommend.
I am hoping this week will be better (Should I not return assume that I overdosed on caffeine in an effort to stay awake.) but bear with me.

It's wrist's turn next and I've added the posting order to the first post of this thread in case you missed it.

I shall now revert to eating ice cream while watching Rick and Morty to ease my Sunday blues.
