Looking to get your feet wet before you do some serious PvP in main threads?

I've got you covered. Not literally though, as I would technically be playing your opponent.

My idea is thus:
A battle between hostile locals and Imperial forces in the lost city of Damash on the remote desert world of Afann created by the wonderful @Ulysses.

The idea behind Afann is to give Legionaries and Sith an opportunity to test their skills against NPCs without fear of imminent PC death, but I can do you one better then that.
I will play the NPC opposition in this thread along with my PC Xanthier.
This will help new PvP players get used to the environment in a death-disabled thread in addition to being a little more fun since you will not have to play the opposition yourself.

Ideally I'd like to limit the number of Sith or Imperials in the thread to four or less so that things do not get absolutely crazy. Depending on the interest though, I may do an additional thread as well.

If you have an Indie character that has a grudge against the Empire you are more then welcome to join as well to help balance things out so long as you follow the simple rule of not killing anyone's PC.
Possibly one Jedi as well but I'd rather not make this a battle between the two main factions.

As far as the local resistance is concerned I was thinking of having them be a tribal society of nomads with mainly primitive technology mixed with a few pieces of weaponry they have managed to scrounge up from Imperials they have taken down with hit and run tactics, but I'd like your opinion on them as well Ulysses.

This is great. It's precisely what Afann is for.
I endorse wholeheartedly the not wanting to make it a battle between the factions thing, but can't see why a stranded individual getting caught up wouldn't be an interesting flavour.

The great thing about a tribal society from our point of view is that there can be quite different groups in different areas with different cultures/technology and so continuity is easy to manufacture.

Also, Fullar is currently stationed there and there are the various camp-based NPCs that I'd like to develop - so if you'll have me, I'd be very keen to be involved one way or another.

Ooo, I like the idea of different tribes. We should definitely make that a thing. I'm sure Richard could be involved along with some new legionaries. Maybe even some experimental Empire tech testing in later threads. The old "No one knows about the people on Afann so we'll test all our possibly catastrophic weapons on them."

I'd be interested if you would have me, I'm currently writing up a Legion Commander that I should have finished some time today. Frankie? Best Imperial pilot ever. It's good to have characters that just support the system because that's how they were raised. She seems likable and more like a human being rather than a mindless soldier. All you guys are good to join at any time.

Well seeing as there are so many Impierals here, how would we feel about me playing my Indie Paladin of Mortis as opposition? seeing as I've been looking for a way to get them into RP. I could be trying to convert the locals to the Mortisite religion as excuse to be there. Unless you'd like me to stick with Ryker, which is also perfectly fine.

I posted. If the person jumping in as the opposing PC wants, I'll be able to duel/fite them if you want. I'm itching for the PVP practice. It's non-death enabled, so no dying here.

I would be honored to have my character fight alongside Robb Stark. Just don't get any ideas about wooing some foreign beauty with a fine booty, it'll end poorly for the both of us.
