The Jedi Archive Board
An incomplete collection of information ranging from history to philosophy provided to those of the New Jedi Order is overseen by the Sage Master of the Order and is meticulous kept by archivists. Jedi may come here to further seek knowledge and/or contribute new information to the databases. Applications and Missions

This board is divided into four sub-boards as follows:

  • Mission Postings: This board contains the procedures and listings for Jedi missions and also serves as the board for the OoC discussion of those readily taking part in a mission. Missions for Jedi of all levels can be found in the Mission Directory. All Jedi are welcomed to Sign-Up or even post mission ideas in the Mission Suggestion Thread.

Jedi Training Board

Though there are no more temples for the Jedi to reside in, the Order has made several alliances with systems. Systems and worlds considered safe for the Jedi to train and interact can be found in the informational sticky.

Jedi Shadow Board
The Shadows were disbanded following the Attack on Anoth. This board is currently closed.

The monthly Jedi News Letter is posted in this board as well as the Suggestion and Feedback thread in which members can post their thoughts and concerns about the Order. Also found in the Jedi OoC Discussion is a list of the Leadership Staff for the Jedi, inside the thread directory: Faction Leaders; as well as frequently asked questions of the faction.

New Jedi Order Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I want to join the Jedi, where do I sign up?

When you have posted a character in the Character Profile Board, you may sign up in the Jedi Sign Up Thread. Once you are approved you may start RPing the Jedi temple boards, begin training, and participate in missions.

Can I start out as a Knight or Master?

All new members start out as a padawan. Members may petition by contacting the Jedi Faction Leader if they wish to have their character reviewed in order to obtain a higher rank within the Order.

Can I have an Indie character who was a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master?

This is handled on a case by case. Members looking to create an Indie character who had a past with the Jedi will need to contact the Jedi Faction Leader.

Can my non-Force Sensitive join the Jedi?

No, we encourage non-Force Sensitive members to sign up for the Rebellion.

What abilities can my Jedi have?

Be sensible - if it seems far fetched for an ability it probably is. Padawans typically start out with the basics of Force usage, from there you may explore whatever abilities you seem fit for your character. Also be sure to read over the banned Force powers list and general rules about Force usage.

Do I need a Jedi Knight or Master if I'm a padawan to go on missions?

No. However, it is highly recommended that your character has training in the basic areas before participating.

Do I need a Master for my Padawan?

No. There are many options for training, including self training. More information can be found in the Training Guidelines.

How do I Jedi?

Don't be a jerk and use the Eightfold Path as guidelines on how not to be a jerk.

How can I participate in missions?

Missions may be found in two locations: the Mission Board or the Jedi OoC. Jedi may sign up for missions from the Mission Directory in the Mission Sign Up Thread; Jedi are also encouraged to participate in missions posted in the Jedi OoC.

When am I ready for a promotion?

Questions to ask yourself in order to determine if you're ready can be found in the Training Guidelines. If you can successfully answer them then you may apply from a promotion. If not, then one should focus training on those areas.

Can my Jedi enlist in both the Rebellion and the Jedi?

Yes, however, just because the Jedi support the Rebellion, there are many members within the Rebellion who are resentful of the Jedi.

Who do I request if I need to meet with a council member?

Sage Master: If one's character needs to discuss matters concerning training or the Force, the Jedi Archives, artifacts, or overall lore, members should seek out the Sage Master.

Watch Master: If one's character needs to discuss matters concerning security, intelligence concerning other factions, or system alliances, then one should contact the Watch Master.

Grand Master: If one's character needs to discuss matters concerning the overall integrity of the Jedi, matters concerning relations between other factions, or if any of the other councilors are unavailable, then one will need to contact the Grand Master.
