Unfortunately due to personal reasons, @Rexx is unable to continue in his role as Faction Leader for the Imperial Republica. We want to give him a thank you for everything he has done in his role and wish him all the best for whenever he can return to writing with us!
As many of you know, the Republica faction has been struggling with direction and activity. As a result, we will not be opening up applications to select a new Faction Leader. It is too far into the timeline to experiment and take chances on a faction that needs to be a driving catalyst in the story. Because of this, staff believe it’s best to select a Faction Leader that has a proven track record of generating activity and leadership. Furthermore, this individual was already taking great steps towards leadership positions in this faction through plots and roleplays.
Without further ado, please join me in welcoming @Nefieslab as the new Imperial Republica Faction Leader! With his extensive knowledge and background in managing and being a part of leadership, we have no doubt that he will go on to do great things with Republica and make it the driving factor this story needs.

In what appears to be a forced succession, the Emperor, Elix Drast V, was deposed by his cousin, the now acting-Empress Lyanna Drast. It has been chaos at the Imperial center all day as the transition took place. The latest reports indicate that the former Emperor has been taken away and imprisoned indefinitely for his failure to act after several dissident factions, the most prominent of them being the Mandalorian Clan Solus, repeatedly carried out terrorist attacks that struck at the very heart of the Empire.
The "Bloodless Coup," as it is being called, was — according to our sources — supported by the heads of the Imperial Military and Intelligence, all of whom were shocked, dismayed, and disturbed at the Emperor's lack of action towards these blatant attacks on the Empire's sovereignty.
Though she could not give a full statement amidst the turmoil in the capital, the new Empress Lyanna has assured the Imperial HoloNet News that her predecessor will pay for his inaction and failure to defend the Imperial people. She has also vowed swift vengeance towards all who would dare harm the Empire.
