Volunteers were needed to help with investigations out in Naboo. There seemed to be a large pull from a majority of precincts as they dive into the investigations for finding the terrorists responsible for the horrendous holonet broadcast. Thalia would have loved to get into the action to help, but the picks went to more senior members of the Rangers. However, there was one assignment that took her out to Naboo, where Thalia thought it was an odd place to even be permanently assigned, but there was one, Ranger Duke Winters, who seemed to be working non-stop to keep Naboo from falling victim of crime rings in neighboring systems. Thalia had gone to Naboo once or twice prior, and as she thought about her own time with criminal rings, Naboo was the ideal location for hiding assets and if it wasn't the criminal underworld, it was certainly the corruption that credits favored in the government circles.

The rookie Ranger took a shuttle across the galaxy; it was a rather long trip, one that she did not recall it was supposed to be long, there was no rerouting of coordinates, and Thalia passed it off as her own impatience. She did though take the time to write, finding familiarity in her journal as she turned her own badge in her palm. She had not had time to just process her thoughts and feelings; training at the academy left her with little time to revisit anything she had learned about herself and continue to learn ever since she worked with Knight Tionson. Mentally she noted she should reach out to him, his guidance even if she did not think she needed it, was always of a big help.

When the shuttle had landed, Thalia made her way immediately to the Ranger's headquarters for briefing and hopefully straight into the assignment.

There were reports of an underground slave operation taking place on Naboo. It wasn't unheard of but it didn't happen much on this planet and it took precedence over a lot of things. Multiple departments were working around the clock to discover more information and the police force asked for help on this one as they didn't how big the slaving ring could possibly be. Thankfully, another Ranger was sent out to Naboo, albeit a rookie but nevertheless it was help and he appreciated that. Duke sat at his desk in the headquarters, studying over files with a cup of coffee when he got the news the other Ranger arrived.

Thalia would be sent up to him and when she arrived on the floor, the door of an office would open before Duke stepped out and motioned her over. "Thalia, come on in." When she approached him, he stuck his hand out to shake and gave her a smile, "Duke Winters, glad you could make it." He stepped to the side to let her enter before closing the door and allowing the two of them some privacy. There was a chair in front of his desk but he walked around to the other side and sat in one that was pretty beat up but comfortable. "It's nice to see another managed to survive the academy."

It wasn't made for easygoing people and it would sus out anybody that wouldn't take their job seriously. "Let me just say, congratulations." When he passed, he didn't have a real ceremonious celebration as he immediately returned back to Nar Shaddaa. His congratulation wasn't anything special either but it was at least something. "Have you read the file on the way here?"

Thalia was not certain if it was the way she spoke or dressed, but she was directed to Duke's desk immediately when she arrived. Perhaps it was more of an awkwardness she carried that came with being a new cop essentially, regardless, she was eager to show she was not one to doubt with her inexperience in the Rangers. The door opened before she could even raise her hand to knock and Duke welcomed her inside.

"Ah, thank you." she said taking his hand and returned the smile, following inside his office. As he went to his seat behind the desk, Thalia sat down in a chair and after a quick welcoming, Duke delve right into the details of the investigating to the slavers that have started to reinforce a community of buyers here.

"I did, sir. It seems like there are a lot of threads, but nothing connecting them together." she frowned as she pulled out her datapad with the information and reports that were sent to her. "Its too far fetched to say they are all working independently, there has to be someone on top that they report to..." she swiped through the profiles of the suspects involved in buying and distributing beings on Naboo, "Whoever it is, would have to be here, I can't see how something could go without links if it was being conducted off-world. My gut tells me it is someone with creds and assets. Were you guys able to find any one who had bought from these guys?"

Thalia looked up from the datapad when she asked her question, hoping her hunch was going to point them in the right direction and not questions that were already asked and answered.
