Thunder clapped loud in the distance, the rain wetting her hair, causing it to stick to her face. Her clothes might soon be uncomfortably heavy and the puddles around their feet were deep enough that water began to seep into her boots. It showed no signs of relenting and suddenly she wished she had chosen a dryer meeting place, but none had come to her in the moment. Some fresh air might do them both some good, anyway.

"I suppose it wouldn't matter all that much to me who she decided to chase after. I'd just be thankful that I wasn't a young man." Larana grinned again, shaking her head at the thought of the old bat actually returning his sentiments. Oh, what a horrific sight that would have been to anyone watching.

"Unfortunately for you, I think we may have one more trip to the library in our future." She slipped a hand into her pocket and pulled out the journal and datapad she had recovered from the desk, offering them to him. "I didn't want to risk your performance by lingering any longer than was needed, but there appear to be some codes written in the journal. It was in one of the locked drawers of her desk, so they must be important for something. We can always search her datapad too."

Crix wished he had brought either an umbrella or some waterproof clothes. Unlike Larana, he didn't need to worry about his hair getting wet but it didn't mean he was able to just ignore the fact that the weather was going to leave him cold, wet, and shivering before long. Still, he was able to take the chance to practice some of the techniques that his Master had shown him, using the Force to regulate temperature. It was more difficult than he would like for now but it was something he could work on as time went on.

He waved a hand.

"I'm sure someone, somewhere, is into that but it ain't me so it ain't my problem."
he joked right back, "Don't kink shame the people who are weirdly into that. They probably already know that they're freaks after all."

Taking what she had recovered, he looked at them with a frown for a moment before slipping them inside his robes. He didn't want either of them to get wet and he knew he could do more with them when he was afforded some privacy and some time. Crix might have been happy to let the other Padawan know he was messing around with some rules but he wasn't about to inform her that he planned to slice into the network and access the information directly that way.

The datapad and the journal would be very useful even if they didn't give him the Librarian's same level of access because they should give him enough information to either guess, or make a program to guess, the access codes she used. Most older people tended to use codes they used elsewhere after all. He gave Larana a grin.

"Well that's something for another time - and now you've done me a solid so you get one in return. You ever need anything? You can call in a favor from me."
