On their way out they stopped at the place where prisoner's belongings were stored and there Darmus requested and got Telo Mak's datapad. "I should've discussed it with you first, Corran," he began as he retrieved a datacard from his pockets and inserted it into the datapad, "but I've been monitoring most of the violent felons we've released since, you know." He didn't really call the attack on headquarters by its name, no one really did. After ten seconds he retrieved the datacard and handed the datapad back to the guard. "Telo will mess up within a week and we'll have footage of him doing it, there's no return to to being a law-abiding citizen for people like him." After all, Telo Mak shot three private security guards in cold blood before Darmus had managed to stun him. Cold-blooded murderers like him never managed to rehabilitate and quite frankly, they shouldn't.

Once finished they left the building without much more fanfare, but once outside a lost ray of sunshine caught Darmus' face and betrayed the exhaustion written all over it. The old ranger's body wouldn't be able to much longer afford the strain and stress of his solo-crusade to re-arrest everyone they had to release post evidence-room raid. He was almost beat, hanging in from sheer willpower. It would've been much easier if he had chosen to trust more rangers to help and yet he wouldn't think of it, believing there was a reason most rangers were refocused away from the Five Syndicates and that reason to be corruption.

"You're driving," he managed a smile at his younger partner, "I took a cab to get here."

Hopefully infecting the terminal and finding the slicer could finally lead to the mass arrests, make the streets safer again and not less important: get Darmus a good night sleep again.
