Stealing wasn't something Crix imagined himself ever really doing but he didn't really class it as stealing when it was stealing stolen goods back from criminals and getting it back to their rightful owner. Sure, the rightful owner had bought the goods at a fraction of their value from desperate people selling to a glorified pawnbroker but that was still more legal than just boosting his stuff.

And the hovertruck it had been transported in too.

Standing beside the swoop bike that he had managed to fix up specifically for this little job (he had to give it back to the pawnbroker after they got his goods back too which sucked), Crix eyed the traffic going past below. People talked about the swoop bike gang that had stolen from their contact and their route was kind of known even if their hideout wasn't, which meant they would need to spot them, follow them and get the truck back from their hideout.

"All goes well they'll never even see us coming Yo-Cho."
he reassured himself in the guise of reassuring his friend, "I'll track em and you fly us there."

They wanted the bike back in one piece after all and his riding wasn't great - even he could admit that. He sighed as he settled in with a small scanner as he waited for the recognized gang members to fly past on their 'patrol route'. As he squatted he decided he should probably speak up.

"We gonna have to play it smart to not get into a fight but... can you handle a fight, Cho?"

This wasn't the first time Riyocho had been to Corellia. But last time he had not really gone off on his own or done anything illegal. "Yeah? How often do things go well?" He replied with his arms crossed. The young pantoran was wearing a simple outfit. Both of his hands had shock boxing gloves. With some pointers and some tools en route to Corellia, he had been able to remove the limiters on the gloves and now felt a bit better.

There was not much else for him to at the moment except keep an eye out for his Zabrak peer. Once the bike was ready per Crix's specifications, Riyocho would get on the bike. The youth didn't have a ton of experience with driving or flying but so far everything he did he tended to catch on. In the past he had learned a few things about basic operation of a swoop and how to safely travel, especially in a civilized planet like Coruscant or Corellia.

"I can handle a fight." A cocky grin coming across his face as he brushed some of his pink hair out of his eye and tucked it into his beanie with his gloved hand.

"I never got the entire story from you by the way..." He said realizing that the two of them were technically alone. Crix had been vague about leaving Coruscant and the past few days had just been one weird thing after another. Riyo wasn't too phased by it because things were still on the up and up as far as he was concerned. If his friend didn't want to talk about his home life, the one that he may be trying to escape from.

Crix looked back at Riyocho and affected an expression as though he were hurt but what his friend had said. It wasn't his fault that their plans tended to go south quicker than a Star Destroyer with an A-Wing in it's bridge. Things just tended to kind of... happen around them that made them more... exciting.

Yeah that was the phrase he was looking for.

"Yo-Cho, you woundin' me here mate."
he declared, patting his chest, "Right inside my heart. All that doubt ain' good for the soul man."

He had a point.

He hadn't exactly told him the whole story because he hadn't really told anyone the whole story yet. Crix's right hand started to shake slightly without him noticing it just at the memory of why he was out here. Or, more accurately, why he was doing everything he could to make it to the Jedi Order on the down-low. Noticing his hand shaking only when the viewfinder started shaking a little bit too much to be useful, he used his left hand to brace his right to get the shakes under control.

"... long story short?"
he sighed a little bit, "Mom's a big shot - the kind where I'd be a kidnapping risk - and I killed a Sith at the HQ. I don't know if it's cus I'm Force Sensitive or not but I figure the Jedi are my best bet. Get the training, get the glowstick and suddenly I ain' a liability anymore."

Crix eyed Riyocho for a moment.

"Don't think I'm the only Force-type in the group either."

He'd not asked anyone to come with him but he could see how they'd benefit as well. In some cases their sensitivity to the Force was obvious (Wiz was kind of obvious to him anyway) but he wouldn't put it past the Force (the great unifying energy field or whatever it was) to have conspired to make them all special little space-wizard snowflakes.

His device beeped.

"We got a hit."
he declared, hopping on the rear end of the swoop so Riyocho would be able to drive, "Three of them heading west - all on swoops with custom paint jobs."

Riyocho shrugged. "Yeah, just dunno if I dig the zealotry and the child stealing." There were a lot of things said about the Jedi Order and plenty of them were bad. But maybe checking them out would give him a piece of mind. Seeing a Jedi Temple would definitely be a cool at least and hopefully not dangerous.

"Willa...or...Enby?" He said oblivious to the Zabrak's stare. "Oh wait there was other girl you were with." The pantoran remembered the predominantly female group composition.

At the sound of the device beeping, Riyo straddled the swoop and started it up. Once they had a direction the vehicle jetted off at high speed. The Pantoran accelerated until they were at a good velocity and altitude. "Should I have said 'hold on'? I thought that would have been a bit cliche."

Yeah the zealotry thing was a big no-no in his books too but he was willing to bet that most of them weren't as bad as the ones running round trying to tell militaries how to defend their own planets. Like they had any business trying to tell people how to defend themselves? Just cus Sith were involved, didn't mean everyone had to bow out and let the glowsticks have the reigns in his mind either. But child stealing?

He tilted his head to the side slightly.

"Child stealing? You talking about how they did things in the Old Republic... for real like hundreds of years ago?"

Cus nothing on the holo and nothing he'd heard about the Jedi said they did that stuff anymore. Word out in the Galaxy was that the reason they were so much smaller these days was that you needed to find them to get joined up. Eh whatever - it might be that they did it still too. Didn't change his own reasons for wanting to jump in there anyway.

Yo-Cho wanted to throw guesses around like that?

"If the feeling in my gut really is the Force? Then the answer is just 'Yes'."

Of course then all that mattered was that they were moving and he was really glad he wasn't flying. Clutching on for dear life, he still found it in himself to laugh.

"Feck being a cliche dude - go faster!"

Riyocho shrugged. "Just sayin dude, I'm keepin my eyes open." he pantomimed stretching an eyelid open with a thumb and pointer finger. The Jedi Order was a religious organization with a checkered past. But every portion of the galaxy had its skeletons in the closet. Riyocho wasn't the type to withhold his curiosity either.

The swoop continued to keep pace with their mark. Riyocho chuckled at Crix's tone and simply increased the speed until they were easily gaining. "All of'em?" The teenagers voice cracked as he asked the question, narrowly missing a hoverbus. "Those are some odds." he added. His focus was drawing more towards their target and less about Crix and what they had been talking about.

Crix could appreciate that.

Keeping their eyes open was for the best - they'd all heard stories about the Jedi Order and some of them were good and some were bad. Some said they were righteous warriors and some said they were a cult... worse still, some said that they were a cult of righteous warriors. But were you really doing the right thing, the righteous thing, if you were only doing it because you were brainwashed into thinking that way because you were in a cult?

Sounded like some discovery holonet channel shite which was probably why some of the weirder stories were probably going to turn out to be true.

"Truth is out there Yo-Cho!"

Grinning from ear to ear, Crix was enjoying the speed of their pursuit more than anything right now. He might not be able to pilot anything worth a damn but he liked him some speed. Helped that his only other experiences as a passenger were with his mom driving or with Enby flying.

They both saw speed limits as more like guidelines than actual rules.

"Maybe when I'm one of them Jedi in the big brown cloaks I'll be able to say something like 'It is the will of the Force' without it sounding like a crappy movie line... but hell as far as I know it might be."
he shrugged again, "Or maybe it's hormones and my teenage mind is telling me to sleep with all my friends? Fecked if I know - look they're slowing down."

As he said, the speeders they were following were beginning to slow down and, one by one, they slipped off the main speedways into the warehouse district.

"Well don't go poking my back with your...hormones." The young Pantoran shifted in his seat a little, becoming suddenly aware of Crix's close proximity. His cheeks turned a little darker blue for a moment but were quickly cooled by the air of the Corellian evening.

Riyocho didn't slow down when the vehicle ahead did. Partially because he didn't sense any sort of need to, but also he was a little distracted. Fly casual. He thought to himself and looked straight ahead despite being very curious about the people he had been tailing. Subconsciously he didn't want to be seen, drawing inward to himself and being non-descript temporarily.

Chuckling a little bit at Yo-Cho's warning not to poke him in the back, Crix decided that they were secure enough on the back of the speeder bike that he could afford to distract the other teen a little without them both dying in a crash-landing. He leaned in a little bit closer not with the lower half of his body but with his top. Instead of feeling any unwanted (?) hardness against his lower back, Yo-Cho would instead feel his warm breath tickling the back of his right ear.

"Afraid you might enjoy it, Cho?"

He was about 80% kidding and that was why he always had so much fun when it came to flirting. Crix didn't expect Yo-Cho to do much more than blush harder and maybe splutter something but he welcomed the chance that his friend might fire back with a flirt of his own.

It was what he'd come to expect from his friends after all.

"For real though; let's loop around and try and keep them in sight from above."
