Nashlaa has dark grey lekku with sea green markings. She also has sea green skin with pale markings which form in sharp angular patterns on her ‘eyebrows’ and outer areas of the eyes. Her eyes are a bright blue. She has a scar from her left shoulder, running downwards and away from her collarbone until it meets just above her chest. Her arms and legs have the same angular pale patterns as her face. She typically dresses in flowing clothing which does not limit her flexibility and most of what she wears is a dark grey. She also wear a Togruta sash, which once belonged to her mother, which is a turquoize colour with darker blue patterns and a blue neck warmer. She wears a dark belt with a gold buckle and shin high dark boots with gold detailing. A headdress, which is the most detailed part of her entire outfit, is delicate and gold with gold pearls hanging over the top part of her forehead and akul teeth adorn it. This headdress belonged to her mother who was the ‘pack leader’ of their tribe hence the gold colouring and ornate design. However, when she wants to go undercover and not be as noticed as easily she swaps this gold headdress out for a more simple dark headdress with a golden diamond in the centre. She is neither short nor tall as her height is around 5’6’’ and she is on the slimmer side, weighing 170lbs. She is toned.

Although highly street smart Nashlaa lacks in academic intelligence. Her upbringing in a tribe on Shili meant she never really had access to proper education and instead learnt how to fight, hunt and connect with nature. Whilst with Robec (her Master in the Force) she had much training as to how to utilise the Force and fight with a lightsaber. She is bilingual and speaks both Basic and Togruti. Nashlaa isn't very strong and can be easily overpowered. What Nashlaa lacks in brute strength, however, she makes up for in agility and stamina as she has high dexterity and fast reaction times. Due to her species she is delicate and more prone to injury than a human, for example.
Personality:
Nashlaa is a very kind and caring being yet she has a dark side. She was 14 when her tribe, and parents, were destroyed and this has meant she has since had some resentment towards the universe. She doesn’t believe it was fair of her to have to go through that at such a young age. She initially agreed to be taught by Robec (her previous non-Jedi Master) so she could eventually get some level of revenge against the dark siders that hurt her family. Over time however she began to use her Force sensitivity for good and her true caring nature came to the forefront. She is selfless and will drop everything to help those in need, her flaw is that she cares too much. She is empathetic to the point that sometimes it can be crushing for her. She also has a deep connection to nature and is deeply connected to Myla, her small loth-cat companion.

Once she was born she was found by Jedi and was taken to the Jedi temple. She completed much training and became a Jedi Padawan. Love was obviously not encouraged amongst the Jedi but Karyina couldn't keep her eyes off another Togruta who was called Kukyi Lym. Not only was this a forbidden love though, but Kukyi was in fact a Jedi Knight. Karyina, over time, fell in love with the man and Kukyi seemingly reciprocated the affection.
Karyina’s Master began to notice that something was definitely distracting her Padawan, she was unable, however, to actually work out what was taking so much of her attention. Karyina and Kukyi continued to have an affair until one day Karyina fell pregnant. Distressed and confused as to what to do she turned to her love for advice but Kukyi wanted nothing to do with Karyina or the baby inside of her. After a while of Karyina began to realise that without the backing of Kukyi she was stuck. If the Order found out about her relationship with a Jedi Knight she was worried that the Jedi Order may kick her out, or that she had no choice but to leave. All she wanted at this point was to have a peaceful life with her child so she decided to approach Kukyi. They had a discussion and Karyina announced that if Kukyi was to give her some money she would leave the Order and never bother him again. Kukyi, who was scared for his reputation if the relationship between him and a Padwan was to come to light agreed. It was at this point that Karyina left a holo message for her Master which explained loosely and without names the situation as she did not want to leave her without having at least said goodbye. She then packed her bags and left the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Many week's of travel later found her at her homeworld of Shilli. There she settled at a remote tribe. She began to become a part of the tribe and earnt their trust and had her baby. Her abilities, which were enhanced by the Force, quickly meant she rised through the hierarchy and after one particular night where she fought off bandits (where she actually killed the son of one of the leaders of the bandits) and the leader of the tribe sadly passed away she was elected as the new leader. She took her role as a protector for her new family seriously and she found that this simple life actually provided her with way more happiness than her time at the Jedi Order seemed to.
During this time the group of bandits started to team up with other groups of bandits. The bandits as a whole wanted the land that Karyina’s tribe occupied as it could be sold due to precious materials found in that area. One of the leaders from a different group of bandits approached the main leader who had lost his son to Karyina and proposed a deal. They would contact their source for help to fight Karyina if she could be captured and his group would receive part of the reward from the land. The main leader agreed to this deal, glad he could get revenge for the murder of his son. It turned out that this ‘source’ was actually a bounty hunter who had been tracking Karyina for quite sometime so he could sell her on to be captured by one of the Sith. Lone ‘Jedi’ were easier to hunt after all.
Meanwhile Nashlaa was growing up and was learning important life lessons. She learnt all about nature and the circle of life and that all beings should be respected. She also learnt how to fight and hunt and she became incredibly skilled in these areas. Her mother, Karyina, never outrightly taught her about the Force or how to use it as she wanted her daughter to have a normal upbringing which she never got, but that didn't mean that some teachings did not seep through. Nashlaa was brought up to believe that there was a force which connected everything and that she could feel it. Due to the isolation of her upbringing though she never actually heard stories of the Force or the Jedi, so she was clueless as to what her connection to nature actually was. Then one night, a few week's after Nashlaa turned 14, the unthinkable happened.
The tribe was attacked. Instantly Karyina jumped to protect her people and before she headed to defend she placed a small kiss on her daughters head ( a tradition which she always followed). Little did Karyina, nor Nashlaa know, that would be the last time they saw each other alive.

The giant Zabrak male brought out his vibrosword and it was at this point that Karyina realised that this was no normal opponent and she had to fight with everything she had. She brought out her lightsaber and ignited the blade. She had now revealed who she truly was and there was no going back, but she knew she couldn't hold off the bounty hunter and his vibrosword without her lightsaber. The two entered a duel, where it quickly became clear that Karyina was loosing. She fought as hard as she could but with her little remaining knowledge on how to fight with a lightsaber she failed and was unfortunately struck down. Her limp body hit the ground and the bounty hunter disengaged his weapon. He had won and now it was rime to claim his prize. The Jedi may not be alive but he was still due his bounty.
His steel gaze turned to the village in front of him. Without their leader the Togruta of the tribe were quickly failing against the bandits who were now overpowering them. A sharp grin contorted his lower face as he walked forward. He started to burn the houses and kill any Togruta who came near him. He took glee from the killing and at this point the last of the tribe had been gathered up in a circle and he nodded subtly at the leader of the bandits to let him know he had succeeded in killing Karyina. The leader of the bandits turned to his men and ordered them to keep the remaining Togruta to sell and ransack what was left of the burning village.
During all this time an injured body lay on the ground. It was far enough away from the main chaos to not be noticed by the bandits, besides even if one had noticed the body of the young green skinned Togruta they likely would have assumed they were dead anyway.
After a while the blue eyes of the body began to open and Nashlaa took in her surroundings. She was injured and she could feel warm blood sticking on her clothes from her collarbone but that wasn't what she concentrated on. Everything had been burnt to the ground and her family were no where to be seen. Tears stung her eyes as she looked at her home and all she had lost. Her mother was gone, everything was gone. She began to walk slowly around the village. She found her mothers sash and headdress on the floor and after a while of her screaming into the sunrise in tears she stood and began to move away from her old home. She walked and walked until she left the sparse forest and found herself in vast red grasslands. Then she fell to the ground and passed out from a mixture of exhaustion and intense emotion and blood loss.
Meanwhile a lone Miraluka stalked Shilli in his ship. It was odd. He had been on this planet trading when he had suddenly felt a compelling force to travel out into the remote areas of the planet. As he flew all he saw below was red. He had learned early on not to ignore his feelings, it had been drilled into him by his Master. The Force was trying to tell him something, but what? Suddenly he felt a ripple in the Force and he slowed the ship to set it down in the long red grass. He wandered on foot towards the source of the ripples and there he found a young Togruta girl passed out. He picked the kid up and took her back to his ship with the desire to nurse her. She was badly injured, but too his relief the Miraluka, Robec, discovered she was not too far gone and she still had some life left in her.
Once she became better and was healed Robec quickly discovered that the young Togruta girl, named Nashlaa was actually Force sensitive. This started 5 years of rigorous trining for her where he also gave her his Masters old lightsaber which was cyan in colour. Robec’s Master had been a past Jedi but they had chosen to leave the Order so now Robec had no faction, he wandered the galaxy trying to learn. After a while he was tracked down by a dark side user and killed and Nashlaa was left wondering where to go. It was then that she decided to go to the Jedi, she needed to finish her training after all if she were to get avenge both her mother and her Master.
