Day 5
6:48 am
It's been 5 days since Knight Nykoria Tallis learned the name of her new Padawan. Since then, Kori's life has changed. Before, all she had to do was help any of her fellow Jedi. But things have become different. Now she had one particular charge. It reminded her of a relationship she had with her Master... Except that this time, Kori was the one supposed to do the teaching. Life sure works in mysterious ways, ain't it?
Not experienced on how to deal with something like this, the Zeltron went for an easy option. She showed her Padawan the spot that her own Master had shown her almost a decade ago. A once-hidden sanctum was free of ships again, and could be used as a training ground. Kori had already run the course a few times together with he Padawan to familiarize the Jawa with it.
Of course, she had simplified it: only one remote would appear, and only after Mnoc would reach the finish line. Not to mention the various safeties installed. Still, it was a challenge. And today the Jawa Padawan was about to run it alone for the first time. The Zeltron was expecting her charge at the end of the path, meditating in the clearing. Meanwhile, Mnoc had a lot of obstacles to overcome:
Kori had just run the course twice: first at her own difficulty, and then at Mnoc's. That's the only way she could guarantee the young Jawa's safety without actually being there to watch over him. Her own training was different: reach out with her inner senses to try and locate the approaching Padawan, and monitor his progress. Sitting down on her favorite stone, Kori took a deep breath and closed her eyes... It was on.

- "First of all, cross the stream. Use the toppled tree trunk as a bridge. The safety net will prevent you from falling into the stream, but falling on it will wet your clothes. That means a failure and a start from the beginning."
- "Then, go through the jungle thicket. You're smaller than me, so it might be easier for you. There are no extra safeties there, but also not much in the way of danger."
- "After that, scale the cliff. The tree trunk is leaning to it; first get on the top of the three, and then use the climbing plants. Don't worry, the fall won't harm you. That's why we've gathered so much foliage and put it there."
- "The final obstacle is the chasm. Summon a vine to your hand and swing across. Don't try to jump over yet! Yes, I've had a repulsor installed there to slow down the fall just in case. But falling means failing. If you fall, return to the starting line."
- "Yes, you will face a training remote once you reach me. I know you'll be tired by then, and the remote will be at level three. But out there, the Force doesn't always give you a break."
Kori had just run the course twice: first at her own difficulty, and then at Mnoc's. That's the only way she could guarantee the young Jawa's safety without actually being there to watch over him. @Hank Beast, feel free to approach the course as you see fit. One post for all obstacles or separate for each / dice rolls for obstacles or self-DM. The goal is to have fun and learn. Expect to run this course a few time over the coming months, but with different difficulty settings ;-)
