He had been lead to a planet by the pullings of the darkside. Unbeknown to him, he would find a person who would suit him for an apprentice...it had been over half a decade since he last took one that survived.

When he brought the shuttle down to land, it was near a center of anger, hatred, burning like the flames that consumed the buildings itself. The tall, hunched figure came slowly down, and masked in the force, sought out the source of such anger. He found it in a young girl, which surprised him. Still, the darkside had never lead him wrong, and it had lead him here. He could practically taste the darkside rolling off her.

Dropping his force cloak he appeared, much like a ghost would simply materializing into the air, head turned to the side to better gaze upon the young woman.

"Such power I sense in one so young...rare." He said cryptically. "But you just might do. Not to tainted with outside ideals because of your age, but full of potential...yes...we'll see I suppose."

The darkness left her without sight, yet she could feel the presence that was her company. She could feel his warmth, it rendered a silky fog in the air that she breathed unlike that of the smoke of the last dying embers of the village.
"I can see- If you are going to punish me, than i yield. But if you seek to make me regret what I have done tonight, than I will surely die this... Night." Whether or not it was night or not, she wasn't sure. One couldn't see the sun in the lowest darkest part of Taris anyways. It was a frightening thing- to be crushed by a city, to be buried beneath an entire world while you starve in the silence of eternal night.

Ilya dropped to her knees and grabbed another handful of ash- only to release it into the air, chin spoked high up along broken smiles and eyes shut darkly.

She had finally broken free. This was her freedom, despite if she died of hunger tonight or not- she felt free. And before this man she gave a low bow.

He chuckled. "Punishment and regret? For this?" he said motioning to the various pockets of destruction laid about. "But it's so...beautiful." he said smiling. He brought out a glowlight and cracked it, the chemical luminescence spreading out near immediately, a bright beacon to everything around.

"Why would I seek to do that?" He asked again, chuckling. "No, no. I rather like what you've done with the place, though I'm a bit old fashioned of my people..." He brought the light up high, and took a few steps closer to get a better look at the girl. For someone who looked so frail, he moved at an eerily quick pace.

Upon opening her eyes she was met with a stable light source- she could see what she had created, she witnessed the magnum opus of her self salvation.
"I like it- It's more quiet, and it's less smelly." Her dark green eyes met the man's hooded appearance. If he had not spoken to her to begin with, he would no doubt had frightened her.
Her stomach grumbled as she rolled over onto her hind-side to sit, than stand to her feet.

She slowly fell to her knees once more. She was too hungry to have the energy to stand, for she was already on the verge of death to begin with. She stood once more only to clutch her stomach with pain.

"I- I feel free."

"I think hungry, is what you're going for. Freedom doesn't come with hunger, or death. It comes with power. Lets get you some food, if anythings going to kill you, it'll be me and I can't have hunger coming in here on his horse and steal that away from me."

He paused, and turned to start walking. "Do keep up, else you might lose the light." he said waving the chem light. "Oh and don't worry, I won't be killing you unless you fail to meet my expectations...not that I'll be telling you what those are. That'd ruin the fun..." He said as they continued to walk.

Her eyes widened at his words- What was he talking about?
She struggled to walk without pain, yet she continued. She had lived like this her whole life anyways, so why did it matter now.

"Fun?" she almost asked him what he meant- however she decided that he most likely wasn't going to tell her anyways so why bother.

She followed graciously in his path, lit by chem light.

"Yes, fun. Giving your skills and talent a direction..." He said as they approached a lift, he pressed a button to take them up and out of the dregs of Taris, waiting on the lift, till it arrived. They stepped in and quickly shot up, going flight after flight until they reached the mid-level. As they exited a guard approached the pair, asking for identification and propper access levels for coming up from such a low dreg of taris...of course given that Mortificar had none because he snuck down in the first place that couldn't really happen.

"Do you have any identification...whatever your name is..." he asked, curiously to the girl.

She had never been outside of the lower-city. She was nervous, for the turbo-lift that she'd stared at so many times before was called before her.
And almost crawling inside from the pain of hunger, her stomach felt a new pain- that of a turbo-lift shooting upwards, skyrocketing level after level.

When the door opened and artificial light hit her brightly she was still dressed in rags- her origins were apparent. And even better yet to come, there was the law-enforcement coming already. Those that lived in the lower-city weren't allowed to leave the under-city. They were disgraceful, and treated just like the trash that they ate.

"I- don't have identification. I'm with him, he rescued me from a fire. My village had caught fire by an explosion. The Rhakghouls were coming and somebody had a blaster. They shot at the Rhakghouls and instead set ablaze a tent. The whole village was on fire!" She lied, but it didn't matter, she could feel that her escort wasn't about to let her be stopped here anyways.

"Ah...well, see that. No identification." He said, the man started to talk but Mortificar held up a hand, and the man waited, expecting the proper papers to be produced. Instead Mortificar spoke to the girl once more. "Now, Power is freedom. I said it before, I expect you to remember it. Our power comes from the force, and through our power we are free, but we only gain more power by taking from others, fueling the darkside within us..." He said and grinned viciously, his hand forming a first, the man suddenly began to sputter, and cry in pain, his eyes first turning bloodshot, then red entirely, his body seeming to shake uncontrollably as cracking sounds came from his bones. The gaurd began coughing up breath, lung fulls of blood following forward, grasping at his stomach before Mortificar raised his fist at an angle and the body infront of them raised as well. He laughed watching the man die slowly, bleeding internally as all his organs were crushed methodically, then tossed him aside like a rag doll.

He paused, breathing in the darkside aura left from the mans death, feeling it feed his obsession. "Now, I believe, we need no identification."

Ilya's eyes widened once more, her long dark red hair pushed out from in front of her eyes. She watched in a somewhat horrific bewilderment as she witnessed him destroy this man without even touching him. She watched the drops of blood fall to the ground and lusted for it. She wanted blood, through flames.

With a wry laugh she stared down the guard and took a step out from behind Mortificar-
"Can you make him burn? I want to watch him burn." she said once over-
"No. I want you to teach me to make him burn."

She had hopeful eyes, and did not demand anything- yet she lusted for the power no less. Despite her hunger, that could wait.

"Pyrokenesis is a rather advanced skill, hard to control. But I can teach you in time. You'll have to walk before you can run...in the mean time though..." he raised up his hand again and called forth the power of flame, the man seemingly combusting spontaneously. "Now...we really must be going..." he said, and continued to head onward towards his ship.

She watched as the body was set aflame. It was amusing enough, yet she began to walk. He must have landed on a pad in the middle-city level.

Boarding his ship she waited, she wanted to see the sun- she was already giddy for she saw the rays of sunlight that were shining through from the upper-city.
This was it, when the ship rose she witnessed lo and behold the great ball of flame in the sky. It was her dream, it was her- hate. She had grown up without the light from the sun- the light from the sun that was meant to bring life, she had lived without it. She had survived without it creating her own light in the darkness.
Her own fire burned brighter than the sun. Her own fire fueled by hatred. Fueled by darkness.

"Where are you taking me?" she managed to ask, still holding her stomach.

"To the Temple of the Bogan. There I'll train you, shape you into something truly free..." He said, entering in co-ordinates. "Now, come to the galley, and fix food for yourself and my own meal." He spoke as he stood, and headed back through the ship.

Ilya rose once again from her seat. She was mesmerized for a moment, staring out at the stars- they were creating lines due to the speed they were moving.
She had heard of hyperspace travel before, yet she had never experienced it.

She followed him to the other side of the ship and began looking around confused. She didn't know how o make food in a kitchen- not like this. She'd been so used to boiled down bones and what-not.
She took within her hand bread and poured herself a glass of juice.
As she broke the bread she handed the man a piece.
"I don't get to eat bread often- I like bread." she waited for him to bite into it before she ate herself, she didn't want to upset him.

"What is the temple of the bogan?" she asked, inquisitively.

He sighed. "Well...your thirst for knowledge is good...but your skill in food is lacking..." Mortificar rose, and quickly found some meats, a bit of veg and various other almost liquid substances and spread them on it, making a sandwich and sat down. "Try making something like this..." he said with a sigh. "The Temple of the Bogan is the main temple of our homeworld in the Empire. It is where you will grow, be tested, and either die, or become capable of true freedom."

(sorry long reply heh i was in the washroom)

Ilya mimicked her new master and also made a sandwich. She wasn't used to eating this way.
Her stomach grumbled as she ate it- and washed it down with the dark juice.

"So... You're going to show me how to be free?" she asked, hesitant of his reply. She wasn't going to die- she knew that was for certain. She wouldn't let herself die. She was too sure of herself.

if you want to reply than maybe us skip some time its whatever

He nodded "Exactly..."

----------------

A week had passed since Mortificar brought the girl, known as Ilya to the temple. There he gave her private chambers, and robes and enough time to recover from her starvation and physical weakness, because he would give no chance for rest or recovery once the training had begun.

A booming knock came to the door of her chamber, on the other side the pale figure waited for an answer.

She had made some recovery within the time she was allowed. She wasn't hungry anymore and she had been exercising. She had a beautiful face- and a beautiful body, for a seventeen year old girl that had been picked up in the lowest parts of Taris. She didn't really find great beauty in herself however, she found beauty in the things that she could make- the things that she could do, the power to create what she please... Even to destroy something and rebuild it to her own image. She would become powerful like her new master. She would melt down her opposition in fires and flames- and sculpt their sin in her image from the ashes.
She wasn't hungry anymore, but she was sure that there would be other kinds of pain to come, especially with her new master. The Bogan was her family now- the Bogan would allow her to be free.
Her long dark auburn hair was swept to the side of her face, and her robes were loosely fitted onto her body. Her deep green eyes met the door after a loud pound on the other side that echoed through her chambers.
"Today it begins." she whispered to herself. He would teach her to be free. And it would, indeed, began today. How long she would last though- she didn't really know.

When she came to the door Mortificar looked her over once, and simply nodded. "We'll retire to a training chamber, deep within the temple. You will learn how to control the force, bend it to your will...this particular chamber will help you feel it."

He said as they walked, heading down deep within the temples cavernous sub levels. The room they entered was cast in low light, dark scrawling text that seemed to be shifting as you looked at them, ever changing were etched into the floor, and walls. The darkside was heavy here, like being at the bottom of an ocean, the pressure strong enough to crush all but those who evolved to master it.

Mortificar smiled as he entered, the darkside flooding over him and amplifying his strength here. "I use this room for meditation, for training and testing new skills. You will do the same. When ready, you will be able to lift all of these things..." he motioned to a heavy table, against the far wall stacked with books. "And you will be able to wield not only fire, but lightening. Crush all who stand in your way with but a thought...for now we'll start smaller though. Honing your mind to channel the force more effectively." He pulled out about twenty stones each maybe two inches across with razor sharp edges. "You will have five attempts to lift them. After that every failed attempt I will send one of these and it will cut you, it will hurt, you will get angry and your anger will make you stronger and give you focus if you are lacking in either."

She followed swiftly behind Mortificar- he was beaming with energies of the Dark Side of the force. The 'click-clacking' of her shoes with every step began to echo as they sprawled deeper and deeper within the core of the temple. It was dark and muggy- a fog of sorts was looming over her, it was purest hate, purest of agitation that she felt before her. The heaviness of the dark side pressed on her strong and hard until- she finally came to the last door, and with it's opening, the sliding upwards of the piece of metal, she felt the weight dissipate.

She listened to her master without interruption. He had given her the keys and let her dive forward within the metal circular ring. Having the display of stones before her in an array, five by five, her explained what she was to do- and the consequences for disobedience. Yet with this consequence he offered an ultimatum- to succeed, or I will drive you.
She understood that punishment was for betterment, that she would not want to forgive him for abuse, lest she desire to be chained for the rest of her meaningless existence.

"Yes, Master." she replied when he was done speaking to her.
She began to focus on the stone, not knowing where to begin- she was sure that he would guide her as she went. She stared down the stone with half-squinted pupils. She wanted it to move. She demanded that it move. But lo, it defied her will- she was ignorant of method though, but she still hardened her focus.
