Space above Charros
Eos Fortuna Station

Jendu Gash felt very out of his depth. Only a few days after he’d left Onderon with Captain Sindhu (who had insisted that he just call her Chant now they were travelling together), and he was already in the middle of a sticky situation. Within the few hours they’d spent at Eos Fortuna Station, a self proclaimed independent station that sat undisturbed in orbit of Charros, tensions between the two factions vying for control of the place had flared up significantly. The Duros wasn’t entirely sure what had caused this specific outburst of rioting or what the groups were fighting over. However he did know that the two of them were now on the opposite side of the station to Chant’s ship with only a few hundred angry rioters and security officers separating them. Jendu had asked for adventure and now he guessed he was getting it.

Although he wasn’t confident on their chances of actually getting out of here alive.

Currently Jendu and Chant sat in a small storage room that had had its contents looted and door broken. They had mainly rushed in there to hide, but also to try to concoct some kind of plan that would get them back to Theta. Jendu awkwardly perched on the edge of an empty metal crate with his hands on his knees, catching his breath. He was by no means out of shape, but it had been a long time since he’d had to actually run from danger. “So-” Jendu started in between breaths. “You probably have more experience with this kind of thing than me, Chant.” He said with a joking smile that attempted to mask his nerves. “How do you think we’re getting out of here?”

Anyone is welcome to join, feel free to start in any part of the station.

Catching her breath, the Mon Calamari leaned on the side of the wall opposite from her companion. What was supposed to be a simple stopover for extra supplies turned into a nightmare. From what little she learned the rioting was likely something to do with the poor living conditions aboard the station. Chant can hear the angry shouts, curses and sounds melee and it was getting worse

By this point she had already messaged Ness back at the ship about the situation and ordered her to keep it locked until they got back.

How the hell do we get back to the docks? Wiping the sweat from her blue brow Chant heard Jendu’s comments, causing her to sigh. “Question of the century Jendu.”

To her sudden shock blasterfire began to rang out. Swearing in her native tongue Chant drew her blaster pistol. The pilot wasn’t looking for a fight but she won’t hesitate to defend herself. She paused and considered their situation before confessing.

“The route we came from is gone to hell and we can’t take on a whole mob nor all the security.”

She looked down at her boots in frustration before realization came to her. “We could hijack one of those airspeeders in the parking lot two blocks from here to the east.” Subsequently she grimaced before adding. “Although getting to the lot won’t be easy but it’s better than nothing.”

Jendu nodded slowly at Chant's proposal. "Sounds better than walking, I guess." He said, the concern very audible in his voice. He knew how to fly an airspeeder, although he would never consider himself good at it. However, he hoped the pilot accompanying him would be able to handle the flying part of their escape. Jendu stood up and unholstered the stun pistol from his waist a loud creaking echoing through the storage room as the crate he'd been sat on was lightened of his weight. Now was the time to show some courage if they wanted to get off the station alive.

Poking his head out of the jammed open doorway, Jendu scanned up and down the corridor quickly. Nobody here. Good. "There's nobody out here, Chant. I think we'd best get moving now before that changes." The Duros said, looking back at the Mon Calamari.

Chant nodded at her partner’s words. “Alright follow my lead.” The Mon Calamari advanced out of the storage room, making sure to glance back and forth at the corridor to stay cautious. As the sound of blaster fire and breaking glass continued to echo Chant ran to the east side while making sure Jendu.

Keeping the blaster at the ready, the pilot’s heart pounded rapidly. She didn’t want to stay out in the open. Anything can happen right now. Two minutes later Chant was about to turn to the next corridor when she heard something. Throwing herself to cover on the battered wall and gesturing for Jendu to do the same she aimed her weapon at the shadows in front.

Jendu watched as Chant dived into cover against the wall, the sound of something shuffling around clearly audible in the corridor to their right. Instinctively he followed behind her, clutching his pistol. The stun weapon wouldn't be that much of a help in a fight, but it was enough to keep him feeling capable of defending himself. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. It had been a while since he'd tried this and now he felt like he should've brushed up before leaving home. And then, after a few seconds...

Silence. Peace.

Nothing hostile, it seemed...

Jendu's red-orange eyes snapped open. "It's okay, Chant. I think." He said, making no effort to quieten his voice. The hesitation he'd felt before He stepped forward out of cover and turned the corner, still loosely holding his pistol. Before him stood a panicked looking human rummaging through a discarded trash pile. Probably only a few years older than himself. "Hi there." He said, making every effort to sound friendly. The scrappily dressed scavenger took a step back as he looked up at Jendu in shock. "I don't want any trouble!" He said in a desperate voice, the blaster pistol at his side now visible as he stood up fully.

Chant twisted her head back to look at Jendu in shock. “Are you insane?” She whispered angrily. The pilot tried to grab her partner’s arm but he went out in the open. Her heart stopped for a moment, fearing a blaster bolt would strike Jendu but it didn’t happen.

Instead she watched the Duros speak to someone in the shadows. Hearing the desperate voice on the other end Chant came out of hiding and saw the human scavenger. She tense up at the sight of the blaster but the fellow is more afraid of them. Nonetheless, wary Chant nudged Jendu forward.

Once more they started to sprint down the path again away from the scavenger. “Next time try not to get yourself killed.” She said to Jendu with more heat than intended while running ahead. Of course they didn’t have time to argue about it now as their lives depended on it.

Just as they were about to come out from the alley Chant stopped on the side of another trash bin and gestured toward Jendu frantically to stay down. For a few seconds she watched and listened, hearing nothing at first coming out the street except for the distant shooting and screams.

Then suddenly a reptilian snarl was uttered out there and Chant carefully glanced from the edge. In view came a trio of Transodsens in makeshift gear stepping out of a wrecked shop. Her blood ran cold at the sight, the yellow one with red blood on both of his talons. The other two were carrying small crates that they just obviously looted.

Looking back at Jendu in a fearful expression she silently waved him to stay down and let the looters go on. However the leader paused in mid walk sniffed in the air before growling.

“I smell flesh.”

Subsequently the lizard drew a rifle from his back.

K'Narr had been travelling to Eos Fortuna Station because he had been running out of fuel on his ship on one of his journeys to a Planet in Mid Rim, it had been quiet when he arrived on the Station which was disconcerting "I have a bad feeling about this" once he said those words a huge group came out from around the corner "Give us your supplies" he heard to what he assumed was the leader, he tried to find a way of diffusing the situation "Now men how about, I just leave and then we can forget that any of this happened" K'Narr said as they raised there blasters "Well that unfortunate" he said as a volley of blaster fire started coming towards him he quickly drew his orange lightsaber to block the blaster fire coming from the huge group "Jedi" the leader shouted as K'Narr pushed them out of the way and began to make a run for it.

He needed to get away, he could come back to his ship later, he needed to make the people get away from his ship before he could make his way back. As he was running he took a sharp turn around the corner but in doing so he came face to face with a Yellow Transodsen and behind him were two others "Uh..by any chance would you let me go" K'Narr said jokingly to which the Yellow Transoden replied with a very aggressive hiss "What is up with people not letting me go" K'Narr said with a sigh before igniting his lightsaber again and as he did so the other group of men who stopped him at his ship caught up with him "I just cannot catch a break" K'Narr said before getting into a fighting pose.

Jendu had not expected things to get so heated so fast. It seemed like his lucky break had been only temporary and he was now huddled behind a pile of debris begging the force not to reveal him and Chant. His only exposure to Trandoshan's before this escapade had been with the owner of his favourite cantina back home. The trio of rioters that menacingly stalked the corridor for their prey were a far cry from anything he'd seen in his life. Fiddling with the clasp on his holster, the Duros considered that he'd never actually shot anyone before. But that might just be about to change.

Jendu stared over at Chant, who he could just about see from his hiding spot. He could only muster a concerned expression, suddenly paralysed by the fear. He hoped the captain had something better in mind than hiding, but at this point he could barely think of doing anything else.

At that moment, a robed figure tore around the corner before coming to an abrupt stop. Jendu could barely hear the conversation that ensued, grateful that something was diverting the attention of their assailants. Then, he heard it. The unmistakable sound of a lightsaber igniting. "A Jedi?" He thought, hope filling his heart. They were saved! If the stories Jendu's grandmother had told him were true, nobody would be able to beat a Jedi!

Seeing her companion’s pen fear Chant felt a ping of guilt and concern. She buried it down and gestured to get ready to shoot on her mark. We need a diversion or make one. The pilot thought to herself. That silent request was fulfilled when a new person ran out from another corner.

What the hell? Looks like a walking tree.

Whatever the case it got the Transdosens’ attention however, others appeared from where the tree being just ran from. Chant’s eyes continued to watch until she saw the lightsaber ignited with its iconic hiss. Now that's what I call a diversion. The Transodsen leader opened fire at the Jedi, firing one shot toward him.

Taking advantage of the moment Chant sprang and squeezed down the trigger, letting loose two laser bolts into the lizard man's back. With a pained cry the yellow Transdosen fell sideways dropping his rifle. His two compatriots spotted Chant, dropping the boxes. reaching for their pistols...

As K'Narr deflected blaster coming from different directions, he heard the yellow Transdosen make a pained noise "Are they not on the same side or something" K'Narr thought to himself but then he saw a blue Mon Calamari come out of a nearby alley "Guess that answered my question" K'Narr thought.
"Thanks for the backup" K'Narr said to the Mon Calamari as he continued to deflect blaster fire, he saw that the two other Transdosens were reaching for there blasters "Watch out" K'Narr shouted he sheathed his lightsaber for a couple seconds as he force pushed the Transdosens against the building.

But when he did that he was hit by the other group who were shooting him "Argh...Can you deal with these Transdosens please I just got to sort out this other group" K'Narr said as he reignited his lightsaber and began to make his way towards the other group as he deflected there blaster fire.

Rasha had only been on Eos Fortuna Station for a few weeks before he began to see this station would not be the best place to stay. Sure the jobs kept him away from most fights or security rounds, but today he found himself at a parking lot fixing the heat dispersion fins on an airspeeder as things began to get heated. Normally a simple job taking only a few minutes to do correctly, he was greeted with what looked to be a rush job.

Bypasses were rig up in ways that would cause fires if not for other bypasses backing up a few others to insure no fires started. "Pain to the Jawa trained fool that made this mess" he said to himself as he removed his multi-tool and datapad. The datapad began listing most of the problems but he was only getting paid to fix the one thing, so he prioritized the fins and got to work. Sparks began to fly at once as the power was cut from the fins so Rasha could fix things more proper.

Right as a circuit was disconnected, his datapad began to blink wildly. "Are you kidding me, I have to fix that too...." he griped. He knew if he wanted to get this done, it meant he would need to climb half way in to the ship to fix it. Leaving himself exposed as well as defenseless if the fights got any closer, but it had to be done. Looking around at those that were close by to see if anyone was looking in his direction, Rasha wiped his hands before getting to work.

Jendu peeked out from behind his cover as he watched the Jedi and now Chant fight their attackers. His fear was temporarily pushed the the back of his mind as the lightsaber wielding Neti tossed his opponents backwards into a wall. Such amazing power. Maybe he'd be able to do that one day...

Seeing Chant begin to fire back at the Trandoshans inspired Jendu into a burst of courage. He drew his stun pistol, firing it into the nearest looter who had been aiming his blaster at Chant. His target jerked backwards as the blue bolt of energy struck him in the chest, causing him to drop to the floor with a crash. The look of triumph on Jendu's face was quickly wiped away as another one of their enemies fired a bolt in his direction, scorching the wall merely a foot away from his head. With a gasp he ducked back into cover, hoping that his allies could take the rest themselves.

Chant was aiming for the remaining Transdosens when the Jedi shoved them to the wall through the force. Subsequently she heard the tree man tell her to deal with the reptiles while he handled the other looters on the opposite side of them. Then Jendu finally joined in the fight, stunning one of the lizardmen who was trying to get up.

His partner hissed in outrage shooting back and forcing the Duros to take cover. Without further hesitation Chant fired a bolt, blasting the last Transdosen in the face. Reloading a new clip she yelled to Jendu pointing to the lot close at hand.

“Get to the speeders! I’ll cover you and meet ya there.”

The Mon Calamari ran out of the alley, and slid over to a metal bench as her new shield on K’Narr’s left flank. While she could’ve just left the Jedi to fend for himself but he had helped them out. “I hate unpaid debts.” She muttered to herself in a reminder while sweat dripped on her neck.

Staying low as possible behind her new cover, Chant quickly aimed once more and fired three shots toward the group charging for the Jedi. It was more to disperse them than anything else.

K'Narr was still holding of the group as much as he could best hold them off so the rest could escape.
He was caught off-guard when there was blaster fire coming from the directions of the Transdosens but once he turned his head he realised it was the Blue Mon Calamari firing at the group and they seemed to have the Transdosens under control "We at least I don't have to worry about them anymore" K'Narr said before he shifted into Soresu Lightsaber form so he could begin to advance on the Group.

As he was approaching the Group on while deflecting there blaster bolts he had noticed someone through one of the Space Station's windows thinking nothing of it he continued advancing.
