Emryc couldn’t help but chuckle again as Jaikus shouted his name. However, the man’s next actions completely caught him by surprise. Jaikus plopped backwards as if he took a sucker punch to the face and so dramatically it put the deaths of the characters of the poet Pakesheare to shame. The half Sephi could only stare in wonder as he appeared to wildly flail around in an attempt to clean everything off. He began to laugh all over again, taking in sight of the theatrical display that was similar to the mask incident or when Jaikus fell into a small pool of water.

He shook his head as Jaikus stubbornly answered his question. Emryc grinned at the other man, “Serves you right, Jaikass,” He called out, quite pleased with himself with the play on words. The half Sephi almost opened his mouth to tell the Axxilan that laying on grass with a white shirt was a bad idea, but it was no doubt going to provide entertainment later. Emryc instead glanced over to the side to look at the skies and the dying light. He knew they needed to gather firewood for the camp, and he mentally began to go through a checklist. The stars and moon were bright enough to where they would still have light, but it could get cool later.

Emryc’s line of thinking was completely dashed as Jaikus shoved against him out of the blue. As he had been blankly staring off in another direction for a moment, he was easily toppled backwards. The half Sephi blinked up at Jaikus curiously, feeling the other man tug him closer. For a moment he could only focus on how the dying rays of the sun kissed the man’s bronze skin, and the way the citrines glinted with fire even with the emeralds hovering beneath the surface. He half expected this to be part of a prank, but most of him wished it wasn’t this time.

He grinned faintly at the man’s words before Jaikus leaned forth to toy with his lip, sending a jolt through his entire body. Emryc’s hand had been loosely resting against his side from the topple. He brought it up along Jaikus’ thigh, sliding up along his rear far more confidently than he had in the hospital. He didn’t stop there, moving up to slip beneath the back of Jaikus’ grass stained shirt to glide up his smooth lower back. His fingers pressed into the slight curve and his spine, grasping at the man possessively.

Emryc’s other hand came up to curl into the back of Jaikus head, breaking away from his lips to trace light kisses along the side of his jaw. He pulled the man’s head closer as he kissed towards his ear, pausing to teasingly run his tongue along the outer shell of it before biting on the lobe. He spoke after that, the low baritone rumbling close to his ear as his hot breath brushed over the cool sensation left along the skin, “I don't mind your bullshit so much.”

In the moment, Jaikus didn’t seem to mind – or more likely just didn’t think about – the concept of laying against the grass in a white shirt, nor did he pay the admittedly clever nickname any mind. The goat slime had transferred from his face to his sleeve, and the Axxilan was determined to get it as far away from his body as possible. Green streaks quickly began to line his back from rubbing against the grass, but it was a detail that was largely overlooked. Just like the goat.

There was a clear look of satisfaction on Jaikus’ face when Emryc easily toppled over, successful in catching the half-Sephi off-guard with the sudden movement. He ended the maneuver looming over the top of the half-Sephi, his legs splayed wide and knees planted into the grass on either side of the half-Sephi’s torso. Fortunately, the jeans he wore now had significantly more ‘give’ to them than the dress pants, making any unfortunate wardrobe malfunctions much less likely.

There was a playful grin plastered across the Axxilan’s lips when he broke the brief kiss, as if waiting to see what the man would do in response. Jaikus felt Emryc’s hand rise from the ground just then, sliding across his thigh and rear until it came to rest on his back. As if instinctively, Jaikus reached down for the hem of his shirt in response, quickly pulling the garment off his torso and over his head in one fluid motion. It was significantly easier to remove than that tight button-up he wore at the hospital, quickly discarded in the same direction as the jacket.

Jaikus felt as Emryc’s other hand came to rest against the back of his head, his bare chest pressing against the half-Sephi as he was tugged a bit closer. Each kiss along his jaw sent jolts of electricity throughout the Axxilan’s body, fanning out across his skin and leaving a field of goosebumps in its wake. A faint gasp escaped from him when the half-Sephi teasingly bit down into his earlobe, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips at the words that were spoken.

Whatever hesitation Jaikus had felt since Keldooine had progressively began to melt away, each step taken more boldly and confidently than the last. Just as Emryc gripped the back of his head, Jaikus kept the half-Sephi close by the shirt that he wore – firmly tugging with a grip that was almost possessive in its nature. All the while, his free hand began to trace a shameless path across Emryc’s body torso.

Starting at his chest, Jaikus’ began to slide his hand downward across the half-Sephi’s stomach, fingernails leaving scratches the skin until he reached the front of Emryc’s pants. The Axxilan lingered there for only moment, long enough to undo the front button and unzipping his fly, before his hand dipped just a bit lower, sliding beneath the half-Sephi’s waistband.

Emryc glanced up as Jaikus moved to slip his shirt up and over his head. The half Sephi paused for that brief moment to admire the other man, watching the way the last rays of the sun bathed his tanned body. He didn’t miss the new scars that marred his skin, and yet none of it detracted from the man’s beauty. He drank in sight of his lean form and the toned muscles that still retained an element of grace. Emryc tilted his head slightly, smiling faintly as he looked up at Jaikus.

“Stunning at any time of day.”

He repeated his words from back on Tatooine when Jaikus likely believed Emryc was staring at the medina. That day now seemed as if it were years ago, back when the half Sephi was convinced this was a door he wasn’t allowed to open. Back when he thought Jaikus was simply a distraction, a fleeting thing that tugged at him for the blink of an eye only to disappear again. He had believed it even when he saw the man dance and tilt back, digging his hooks in. He had believed it when he saw that smile on his face that made the galaxy go perfectly still. He had believed it because it was easier than to admit the truth. The truth that he wanted to see it all over and over again. That he wanted to throw caution to the wind and sink once again into the mire that already once drowned him before.

Unlike back in the hospital, Emryc reached down to take his own attire off when Jaikus did. Within a moment, his full sleeve top and the shirt underneath it were both off, tossed casually to the side as well. Emryc reached up to grasp Jaikus by the head and pulled him down into a kiss. He tasted what he thought he ought to be denied. He embraced what he thought to be poison, feeling the other man’s warm chest pressed against his own.

Emryc withdrew briefly from Jaikus’ lips as he felt the other man’s hand slip beneath his waistband. A moment of panic jolted through him as he remembered his condition, “Jai, I…” He blinked curiously at the Axxilan for a moment after he had already found his destination. He then blinked a few more times, suddenly grinning, “...Never mind,” He pulled Jaikus back into the kiss.

His other hand traveled down to undo the other man’s pants to push them down, working of its own accord as he focused on kissing Jaikus. The two were molded as one, pushing past boundaries that been set before. Emryc gasped against the Axxilan’s mouth, his hips pressed against the other man’s as his hand found his back again, sliding down to finally grasp and feel him without any barriers in the way.

Emryc could feel goosebumps along the Axxilan’s skin as night began to set in. The half Sephi paused from the kiss just for a moment, a look of tenderness and concern in his eyes even through the heat of the moment, “Do you wish to go inside the tent?”

Jaikus slipped off his shirt and tossed it aside carelessly, the cool breeze causing a shiver to run down his spine. He briefly glanced down to the new scars that had been left on his skin, still getting used to the markings he had received on Felucia. His train of thought was interested when he heard Emryc speak, emerald eyes visibly widening. He immediately recognized the words, remembering when they had first been uttered back on Tatooine, but only now did he understand the real meaning behind them. The Axxilan could do nothing but stare down at him for few seconds, suddenly feeling a newfound heat burning against his cheeks. Even in the dim light, Emryc would be able to see the crimson color that brushed against the Axxilan’s face.

With his own attire disregarded, Jaikus watched as the half-Sephi began to strip of his own. He took a moment to appreciate the man before him, emerald eyes drank in the sight of his olive skin and his muscular physique, silently tracing the lightning scar that stretched across his chest. Jaikus was only left staring for a few seconds before he felt himself pulled down for another kiss – suddenly feeling himself melt against the half-Sephi’s lips. It was an embrace he had first experienced on Keldooine, and yet much had changed since their dalliance at the lake – no longer tempered by the boundaries and restrictions that had once existed.

Jaikus’ hand dipped beneath the half-Sephi’s waistband, boldly pushing the boundaries as his fingers snaked downward until he reached his destination. Whatever ‘condition’ the half-Sephi had been suffering from went unnoticed at the hospital, and clearly didn’t seem to be a problem in the present moment. Jaikus’ grin widened in that moment, recognizing that his bold gesture one that the half-Sephi clearly appreciated.

When Emryc moved to undo the jeans he wore, Jaikus brought his right hand – the one that had been splayed across the half-Sephi’s chest – to aid in removing the garments. The Axxilan found himself multitasking in that moment, pressing into the kiss while also helping to slip his pants off his waist. He felt Emryc grasp at his bare skin once the jeans were out of the way, responding in kind with a tender bite to his bottom lip.

A few moments would pass, and Jaikus only paused when Emryc pulled away from their kiss briefly, mentioning relocating to the tent. Jaikus noted the look of tenderness and concern in the other man’s eyes, suddenly feeling smile tug at the corners of lips. The Axxilan brought his forehead to press against the half-Sephi’s, his eyes glinting with tenderness and desire in equal parts.

“I’m plenty warm where we are.”

He pressed his lips to Emryc’s just then, continuing their kiss for a moment longer before rising back to his feet – clearly deciding to take the half-Sephi up on the offer of moving to the tent. He took a moment to stripped what off whatever remained of his clothes, shamelessly tossing them aside before making his way towards the tent, glancing back towards Emryc as he went.

Within a few seconds they reached the entrance of the tent and Jaikus passed the threshold. In that moment, he suddenly realized where the goat had wandered off to – the animal casually raising its head and bleating towards them affectionately.

The once pristine and organized tent looked as if it had been ransacked. The floor was littered with the contents of their packs, food remains and supplies decorating the ground. Empty plastic bags – ones which had previously contained granola and another variety of trail mix – were scattered across the floor, holes chewed through the sides. Their map – the sole navigational resource that the two of them had between them – had been munched down by the goat around the time the shirts came off, the only evidence being a handful of slobbery, paper pieces that the animal clearly didn’t find appetizing.

At this point the animal had grown bored with whatever was left in Jaikus’ pack, and had begun riffling through Emryc’s belongings instead around the time the shirts had come off. At the moment, the goat had a pair of the half-Sephi’s boxers hangings from its mouth, casually munching the pantleg of the undergarment just as it had Jaikus’ jeans.

It was at this point that the smell hit Jaikus. The poorly ventilated tent reeked like a farm, and a quick glance to the corner of the tent would realize the reason why. The goat had done nothing but devour everything in its path since it started following the two men, and it appeared that the granola had finally worked its way through the animal – who chose to relieve itself inside what was meant to be their shelter for the night.

For the briefest moment, Jaikus looked as if he was about to fly off the handle. Emryc would be able to clearly see the way the Axxila’s body tensed and his jaw clenched, suddenly looking as if he were reconsidering making the goat their next meal. The Axxilan didn’t say anything, though the subtle twitching of his right eye spoke volumes. He stared for a few more seconds before exhaling sharply. Without another word, Jaikus tightened his grip on Emryc’s wrist and turned on a heel, exiting the tent and choosing to ignore the situation for the time being. After the incident with Emryc’s aide, Jaikus simply refused to allow anything to derail the current mood.

He took a few steps back, picking out a soft patch of grass before falling backwards – tugging the half-Sephi down to the ground with him. He landed on his back into the bed of grass, this time positioned with Emryc looming over the top of him. A leg came up to hook around the man’s hip, one arm snaking down south while the other wrapped around the back of his neck, pulling the half-Sephi into another passionate kiss.

“No more interruptions.” He declared, his soft yet declarative voice reverberating against the half-Sephi’s lips.

Unlike before, Emryc didn’t avert his gaze when Jaikus rose up and had casually stripped off the last bits of his clothing. When the Axxilan looked back this time, he would know he had Emryc’s full, undivided attention. The half Sephi still had his pants on, though unzipped and almost slipping off the waist. He followed Jaikus towards the tent, ears twitching slightly as he heard the bleating coming from inside of it.

The half Sephi’s ears began to flatten at the sight and smell, and electricity began to crackle between in his fingers as the urge to completely fry the goat began to rise to the surface. Emryc used the Force to move his boxers away from the goat. He slid over their belongings, adamant about getting everything out of the tent. That was when he felt Jaikus abruptly tug at his wrist. Emryc blinked back at the goat.

“Jai, the map…” He turned towards the other man and his thought process more or less died when he decided he wasn’t in any condition to debate with Jaikus when he was sans clothing and extremely distracting. Emryc settled for grabbing a blanket and one of their bags.

Emryc had expected Jaikus to throw a tantrum and for them to figure out how to camp for the night, but the Axxilan pulled him down to the ground. The half Sephi caught himself on his palms, feeling a leg wrap around him. Emryc grinned down at the other man, “No interruptions,” He stated simply.

With that, the half Sephi leaned down to kiss Jaikus, but he didn’t linger there too long. He traced kisses down along his neck and collarbone, tenderly working his way down towards his chest. Emryc took his time at his chest, teasing and responding to however Jaikus moved and indicated. He was discovering the other man for the first time, and he would remember every little detail.

There was no hesitation, no barriers in the way, no distractions. He was entirely focused on Jaikus, his kisses continuing to trail down as his hands reached down to quite easily move his legs up towards Emryc’s shoulders. Above them, the last rays of the sun gave way to a brilliant sea of stars and a bright silvery moon to bathe the valley in light.

--

While Emryc certainly hadn’t expected to cross this threshold with the other man tonight, the rest of the galaxy was largely forgotten while they did. The half Sephi took his time, revealing himself to be a gentle, attentive and passionate lover at once. He spent a lot of time learning and exploring the other man in every way he could, to which Jaikus responded in kind. They weren’t near where they started, an almost playful element laced into their lovemaking as both took the lead in different ways in the dance. Even through their passion, it was clear both were entirely comfortable with one another. In many ways the experience was a first for Emryc, who was often expected to play a specific persona. Jaikus shattered all of that. The Axxilan had no such expectation and acted quite on the contrary.

Quite some time had passed since they stormed off from the goat. Emryc found himself back in that similar position when Jaikus first pulled him down, though they were further away from the tent. The half Sephi gazed down at Jaikus, sweat lining both their bodies with their hair matted to their face. The Axxilan’s legs were wrapped around his hips, just where he liked them. Emryc was eased against the other man, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he stabilized his breathing. He purposely lingered there, in no rush to back away from the other man. Emryc leaned down to gently touch his forehead against the other man before kissing him softly. There was a heightened sense of affection in his gestures, and he was clearly in no hurry to give Jaikus any physical space. Emryc pulled back from the other man and grinned down at him.

“You are so loud,” He said quietly before he followed it with a chuckle. It was a wonder they didn’t have wild animals coming over to investigate or attacking them. He knew the observation would likely embarrass the other man. Emryc leaned in to kiss along a bruise he had left on Jaikus’ shoulder, “I like it.”

While Jaikus certainly saw the map, he paid it – and quite literally everything else going on in the tent – no mind, resisting every urge to react outwardly and in some spectacular display. It was an issue they could deal with later, and for now the Axxilan kept his attention solely fixated upon what he was doing – refusing to allow anything else to come between the two of them.

He smiled as the words were repeated by Emryc, their bodies pressed together once more. Unlike before, there was no shyness or hesitation in the way that they operated, each moving boldly to explore the other in ways they hadn’t dare in the past. While one hand wrapped about the half-Sephi’s neck to keep him close, his other dove downward until he reached his destination. He lingered there for a while, slender fingers gliding across sensitive skin and moving in whichever ways the man indicated.

He felt as Emryc broke from their kiss and began to dip lower on his body, and his hands rose to respond accordingly. As the half-Sephi began to trail kisses across his torso, Jaikus brought both hands to rest along the man’s back. Fingernails curled and dug in a bit firmer than before, dragging upward the further south the half-Sephi traveled. The Axxilan was intent on leaving his mark with the gesture, light scratches traversing a path towards the back of Emryc’s neck.

When Emryc finally dipped a bit lower on his body, Jaikus’ legs lifted easily off the ground at Emryc’s urging - coming to rest against the half-Sephi’s shoulders. His spine curved up from the ground in response, a small gasp escaping from his lips when the kisses continued. The last vestiges of sunset gave way to nightfall, and for a while, the rest of the galaxy seemed like a distant and forgotten memory.

---

An indeterminate amount of time had passed, and once more Jaikus found himself laying on his back – comfortably resting on the blanket Emryc had snagged, one of many positions the two of them had found themselves in during their dance. True his nature, Jaikus did not expect Emryc to behave in any kind of way, and instead took an active role during their lovemaking – boldly exploring the other man’s body and taking the lead on multiple occasions.

Sweat glistened against his bronze skin, his dark hair disheveled and matting down to his forehead in loose curls. It took him a while still to catch his breath, and for a while he merely admired the man looming above him. A grin flashed across his lips as emerald eyes took in the sight of bruises and subtle bitemarks that had been left over the course of their lovemaking. Even now, Jaikus kept his legs wrapped around the half-Sephi’s hips, his body lifted just off the ground and keeping the other man pressed firmly against him. It was clear the Axxilan had no desire to separate just yet, savoring the feeling of their bodies melded together with just a few minutes more.

He smiled as Emryc came to press their foreheads together, the affectionate gesture one that filled him with a warmth that cut through the cool chill of the air. His hands shift to wrap around Emryc’s shoulders, leaning into the gentle embrace. The world around them was alive with the nocturnal sounds of nature, a song of crickets amongst the grass and frogs that lingered closer to the pond. And a blissful bleating of a goat nearby.

Jaikus blinked a few times when Emryc broke the embrace and spoke, the tinge of red suddenly returning to his cheeks. In the heat of the moment, the Axxilan hadn’t quite realized how loud he might’ve been, his voice no doubt traveling a bit farther than anticipated through the mountain valley. The embarrassed expression quickly shifted, though, when Emryc expressed that he liked the fact – a playful grin suddenly tugging at Jaikus’ lips once more.

As Emryc leaned to kiss along his shoulder, Jaikus tilted to respond in kind. He gently trailed kisses along the side of the half-Sephi’s neck, traveling upwards until he reached the man’s pointed ears. His lips parted sightly, gently grazing across the surface from tip to earlobe. “Perhaps I ought to be loud more often,”

The vibrant emerald eyes were something he could stare at all day, and he would always choose them over the citrines that were fashioned over time. He tenderly kissed along the Axxilan’s shoulder, feeling the man wrap his arms around his shoulders in a warm embrace. Emryc pressed closer against him, exhaling softly against his skin. When he felt Jaikus graze along an ear, the ears both twitched and swiveled slightly. Emryc couldn’t help but groan softly, his ears always a source of weakness. Jaikus knew fully well what he was doing to Emryc just then. That little gesture manifested within Emryc in several different ways, and the Axxilan would certainly feel it.

“Perhaps I ought to make you loud again then,” The half Sephi said with a light grin. He followed this up with rolling over and bringing Jaikus with him in one fluid motion. He was on his back then, the other man positioned to straddle him. Emryc felt a renewed sense of desire, fire dancing in his eyes as he gazed up at the other man. Emryc’s hands slid up along the sides of the Axxilan’s thighs, his fingertips digging in possessively.

Emryc barely began to move before he felt something tugging at his hair. He tilted his head back to spot the goat that had come over to eat his locks. However, his ill timed head tilt was right as the goat stuck out its tongue. The goat’s tongue slathered right across Emryc’s face as it delightfully enjoyed the salty taste of sweat.

“God DAMN it!” The half Sephi sputtered before slapping the goat in the face. To his credit, he did so without causing it any true harm because he knew he would never hear the end of it from Jaikus otherwise. The startled goat bleated anxiously and ran off to the side, though still too stubborn to leave the site entirely.

Emryc was positively fuming, grumpily looking up at the man that was still perched atop him. His expression was priceless, especially highlighted by the fact that his hair now stood up in spikes from the slobber and sweat. It was a testament to how much he adored the other man that he didn’t immediately try to shove Jaikus aside and run fleeing to clean off his face. He instead laid there tolerating the complete layer of gunk on his face from the goat.

“Lake. Wash. Now. Please,” He stated simply. He would wait for Jaikus to slowly rise to his feet before he followed. Even through the rage that filled Emryc, he was still very vigilant about ensuring that Jaikus was all right and not hurt in any way. The half Sephi said nothing about it, but his body language spoke volumes. Only once he was reassured did he make his way over to the water to aggressively clean his face and body off.

Jaikus cherished the feeling of Emryc tenderly kissing along his shoulder, his hot breath sending jolts across his body. The Axxilan knew what he was doing when he went for the man’s fluted ear, teasingly running his canines across the sensitive skin. He heard the soft groan and knew how much it appealed to the half-Sephi, keenly able to feel the different ways his body responded.

“Perhaps,” He matched the half-Sephi’s grin, his words whispered against that fluted ear. Before he could react further, Jaikus felt as Emryc suddenly decided to roll them over in one fluid motion – effortlessly changing their position and placing the Axxilan back in his lap. Whatever exhaustion Jaikus had felt quickly faded away, replaced by a renewed sense of desire.

He felt the fingers dig possessively into his thighs, instinctively moving to react to the gesture. His hands slithered slowly down his sides, tracing along his slender torso and waist, until they came to layer over the top of Emryc’s. A soft moan passed from his lips as Jaikus’ hips began to roll fluidly, his head tilting upward. He briefly staring up towards up at the star-littered sky before emeralds flustered closed, entirely focused on what he was doing.

This, of course, meant that Jaikus didn’t even see the goat approaching.

Emerald eyes suddenly snapped open when he heard the half-Sephi cry out, looking down just in time to see the goat being swatted away. The movement of his hips paused, and Jaikus could do nothing but stare at the half-Sephi’s slime-covered features. Any annoyance at yet another interruption was quickly overshadowed by the priceless, horrified look plastered across Emryc’s face. He tried exceptionally hard to keep a straight face, but that quickly proved to be a futile effort – his lips twitching upwards beyond his control.

After a few seconds of struggle, Jaikus finally cracked – beginning to laugh with all the breath in his lungs. The air was suddenly filled with the familiar sounds of his characteristic laughter, boisterous giggles weaved together with ridiculous puffer-pig snorts, completely drowning out the nocturnal sounds of wildlife. He wheezed out a breath, looking as if he’d gotten over it, and suddenly began to giggle once again when he took another look at Emryc’s slime-covered face.

It took the Axxilan a solid minute to recover from his laughter, and a few seconds more to catch his breath. He heard the request from the half-Sephi, and Jaikus mercifully didn’t leave Emryc suffering for much longer. Planting his hands down in front of him, the Axxilan slowly rose up from the half-Sephi’s lap. There was a distinct wobbling of his knees as he came to stand for the first time in a while, though it didn’t take more than a few seconds for him to find steady footing, smiling down at Emryc and urging him to follow.

With that, Jaikus began to make his way towards the lake – shuddering slightly as his ankles disappeared below the surface. High in the mountains, it was as frigidly cold as he expected, though the Axxilan could not deny that it felt somewhat pleasant against his warm, sweat-slickened skin. He continued further into the lake, until he was navel-deep in the water.

He turned back towards Emryc, a grin plastered across his lips. “I guess Mr. Goat betrayed you after all.”

Emryc once again had that familiar unamused look on his face as Jaikus prolonged his suffering by laughing. The air was filled briefly with nothing but pig snorts and the goat bleating as the half Sephi was stuck on the ground. All thoughts of their very compromising position were largely forgotten.

“I’m literally on a fucking farm right now,” He grumbled moodily as they rose to their feet. He nevertheless grasped Jaikus by the hand when he noticed the man was slightly wobbly. Unlike Jaikus, he didn’t timidly step into the water, splashing right in to rinse himself off. Emryc was usually unbothered by the cold, but even he had to admit this was unpleasant. He dropped down to submerge himself fully, coming back up and rinsing off his hair and body. This was right as Jaikus looked at him and offered his smug quip. Emryc responded by casually coiling the Force around Jaikus’ lower body and yanking it forth to make the man unceremoniously topple backwards into the frigid water.

The half Sephi was prepared for whatever retaliation Jaikus had, no doubt complete with a lot of profanity and screeching. Emryc had a grin on his face regardless as he continued to rinse off his hair. The moonlight highlighted the definitions of his torso and the lines and shadows of his body, his hair completely disheveled with some of it matted and other sections sticking up at odd angles.

Emryc knew the Axxilan was cold, and he stepped forth to tug the man to himself. He hugged Jaikus tightly from behind, wrapping his arms easily around his smaller frame to envelop him. Emryc rested his chin against Jaikus’ shoulder as he gazed up towards the sky. His chest and the rest of his body was pressed firmly against Jaikus' back to keep him as warm as possible. Emryc squeezed him tighter before he spoke quietly against an ear.

“I always imagined I would take you out somewhere nice and fancy before we did all this,” There was a slight tone of disappointment directed at himself as he spoke, as if he had done something wrong. He idly began to sway very languidly from side to side, almost playfully, while he held the other man, “I am a gentleman after all,” Emryc lightly kissed against Jaikus’ damp skin, “Perhaps I can make it up to you with a multi course meal. Starting with uh..” He listened quietly, “Some toasted crickets," A grin appeared on his face as he continued to sway while holding the man tight, “Followed by frog soup,” He was smiling against Jaikus’ skin, “And for the entree a roasted goat on a spit,” He was chuckling softly then, burying his face into the crook of Jaikus’ neck. He closed his eyes and exhaled softly. Emryc murmured so quietly against his skin that the Axxilan would miss it if he weren’t listening carefully.

“Your stubborn ass decision to chase me down in Keldooine is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me.”

When Jaikus spoke, there was a rather smug expression plastered across his face. In that moment, he couldn’t help but feel some mild bit of satisfaction that Emryc hadn’t come out unscathed from the goat, especially after the little stunt the half-Sephi had pulled earlier in the evening. This was all clear in his tone as Jaikus wiggled his eyebrows playfully, half-expecting – almost craving - to see that same, unamused look from the man. Instead, Jaikus’ smug expression was wiped clean off his face at what Emryc did next, eyes widening as he felt as the Force coiled around his lower body.

“Wha—” The Axxilan suddenly felt his body pulled out from under him, toppling backwards and into the frigid water. His arms immediately went out around him, flailing and reaching for something to grab, but to no avail. With nothing to hold himself up, Jaikus fall back and dipped below the waters surface with a splash.

The Axxilan resurfaced only a few seconds later, immediately gasping from the sudden temperature drop. “Fucking damnit!” He groaned loudly, immediately turning back to fixate on Emryc. In retaliation, Jaikus dipped his hand beneath the water and swiped upwards a few times– the subtlest push of the Force sending waves of frigid water to splash against the half-Sephi’s torso and face.

His short burst of retaliation ended, and Jaikus ran a hand through his dark locks, joggling the excess whatever from his scalp. The hair fell and tumbled over his forehead in a mess of wet, twisting strands, no doubt ones that would return to their natural texture when the water dried. It was at this point that Jaikus very cautiously looked around where they were standing, searching until he located the goat grazing in a nearby meadow several meters away. He breathed a sigh of relief, as the animal luckily hadn’t turned into a submarine to follow them into the lake. Not yet, anyway.

The multiple moons of the planet shone down brilliantly against the surface of the lake, reflecting off of the water with every ripple and gentle wave. It bathed the two men in silvery light, highlighting the lean muscle of Jaikus’ torso that narrowed towards the waist. The breeze began to pick up once more, having grown a bit colder with the setting of the sun. It brushed against the Axxilan’s wet skin just then, and Jaikus felt a distinct shiver run down his spine. The initial feeling of water against his sweat-slickened skin was somewhat pleasant, but even now Jaikus could not deny that he was growing uncomfortably cold.

As if on que, the Axxilan felt as Emryc stepped towards him, tugging him a bit closer and enveloping him in warm, comforting arms. Jaikus tilted his head back against the half-Sephi, his arms coming up to wrap over the top of Emryc’s. It was an embrace he had come to cherish since the first time on Tattooine, and it filled him with warmth far beyond the physical.

He listened as Emryc began to speak, his eyes closing for a moment as he savored the feeling of the man’s arms around him. He noted the slight disappointment in the half-Sephi’s voice, enough for Jaikus to turn his head slightly to look at him. “I don’t mind the change in scenery. Plenty of time for something nice and fancy later.” He spoke softly, a gentle and reassuring smile plastered on his lips. He brought a hand upwards, tenderly placing it against the half-Sephi’s cheek. “This was perfect.”

He smiled when Emryc pressed another kiss to his skin, his body beginning to sway in tandom with the half-Sephi. He listened as Emryc continued to speak, a brow raising slightly when a multi-course meal was mentioned. A grin couldn’t help but work its way onto Jaikus’ lips when some of the menu items were pitched. Jaikus brought his hand – the one that had been resting against Emryc’s cheek – to wrap around the back of the half-Sephi’s neck, playfully running his fingers through the man’s wet hair.

He laughed softly when the entrée item was mentioned, very briefly considering taking him up on the offer. Jaikus then tilted his face to the side, brushing affectionately against the half-Sephi’s cheek. “Doesn’t sound too bad. Though I’m not sure you could handle the toasted crickets.” He grinned a bit wider. “You might actually have to touch them.”

A few seconds would pass, Jaikus continuing to sway as the man buried his face into the crook of the Axxilan’s neck. Despite the quiet way that Emryc muttered against his skin, Jaikus heard every word that was spoken. There were words that he hadn’t expected to hear, and the sound of them brought a new flush of crimson to his cheeks. They were words that filled him with delight in ways that the Axxilan couldn’t explain, his heart beating just a bit faster and butterflies to flutter in his stomach.

Jaikus pressed the side of his face against Emryc, squeezing him just a bit tighter. “And I don’t regret it for a second. You make me happy, Emryc – happy in ways I can’t explain.” His voice was soft, barely above a whisper, and yet he knew the half-Sephi would hear every word. “There is no place in the galaxy I would rather be, than here.”

“Going after you, was one of the best things I ever did.”

Emryc leaned into Jaikus as he brought a hand up to brush against the half Sephi’s cheek. There was something incredibly tender and warm about that simple gesture that made Emryc hold him even tighter. He quietly listened as Jaikus spoke, knowing the man was smiling just from the tone of his voice. It reassured him somewhat, but he knew he wanted to do a bit more to treat the man like he deserved. Emryc’s eyes remained closed as he felt Jaikus move his hand to shift back to curl against the back of his neck. This got a quiet, satisfied groan from Emryc, as it was one of those gestures he remembered all the way back from Serenno. Jaikus had done it under entirely different circumstances, but it had been just as enticing back then. That little groan would tell Jaikus all he needed to know about how much Emryc liked that move, the half Sephi otherwise largely not very vocal as the Axxilan also knew by now.

His ears twitched quite a bit when Jaikus declared that he was happy and that Emryc was the cause of it. Jaikus would feel the shift in the fluted ears quite easily, though Emryc was quiet for a moment. The words washed over him like a wave of warmth that enveloped him amidst the frigid chill around them. He replayed the words over and over again in his mind, his heart beginning to pound against his chest. He was almost worried Jaikus could feel it. That familiar fear and aversion twisted at the pit of his stomach, his insides knotting and contorting. The Raze side of him fought to vocalize his displeasure. However, a curious byproduct of the two sides of him merging meant that Emryc had slightly more direct control over Raze. Though Raze did not understand such things, he could be tamed and appeased easier. Raze’s own twisted desires were kept easier in check, and Emryc intended to keep it that way.

The very fact that Jaikus’ words triggered Raze at all was a whole different matter altogether. Emryc felt himself relinquishing control, and he found himself unconcerned about regaining it. It was a balloon floating away with the string slipping away from his fingers. He didn’t know where it would go even if it had belonged to him.

Emryc moved then after a long while, slowly turning Jaikus around to face him. He curled a finger under the Axxilan’s chin to tilt his head up to face him. He gazed into pure emerald eyes, vivid and bright under the twin moons. Emryc eyes betrayed far more tenderness than they ever had before, the yellows melting into a soft, honeyed hue that blended against silvers that weren’t so icy.

“I fought the King of Korriban, I fought the Grandmaster of the Jedi, I fought a Jedi as powerful as a Councilor, I fought a Jedi Master, I’ve been shot down, I’ve been kidnapped and beaten, I’ve taken on the whole fucking galaxy,” He almost smiled then as he leaned forth to press his forehead against Jaikus’ and closed his eyes, “...But nothing terrifies me as much as what you do to me,” He whispered the last words.

Jaikus smiled when he heard that groan from the half-Sephi. There were no words that needed to be spoken for the Axxilan to recognize just how much that gesture was appreciated, and it was one that Jaikus did naturally – an almost instinctive desire to grip and hold the man close. He felt the way the fluted ears flattened in response to his words, his smile tugging a bit wider even as Emryc did not vocalize a response immediately

A few moments of silence would pass, and Jaikus leaned back into the half-Sephi’s larger frame, their bodies swaying together in tandem with one another. It was a closeness that he had come to crave, and he made no effort to end it prematurely. Hours could pass, and the Axxilan would have been happy to remain exactly as they were.

He felt as Emryc moved to turn them to face each other, and Jaikus kept his hand curled against the back of the half-Sephi’s neck even still. Striking emeralds fluttered open when Emryc tilted his chin upwards, eyes that glinted bright against the moonlight. There was a clear sense of determination that burned behind those emeralds, confident and unwavering in every word that he each step that had been taken. He listened as Emryc spoke, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of his lips. His eyes closed once more when he felt the half-Sephi tug him closer, instinctively pressing his forehead against the other man’s.

Jaikus heard every word that was spoken, and yet did not immediately vocalize a response. Instead, he brought his free hand up from his side, gingerly grasping the half-Sephi by the wrist. Slowly but surely, he guided Emryc’s hand across his torso, until it came to rest against the left side of the Axxilan’s chest. Emryc would be able to feel how the Axxilan’s heart pounding in that moment, thundered against his chest.

“This,” he began, pressing against the Half-Sephi’s forehead. “..Is what you do to me, just by being near. You make me happy, and laugh, and feel at ease in ways I can’t put into words.” He chuckled softly. “A galaxy at war. A pandemic ravaging worlds. And all I know..” He paused, once more bringing a hand to press tenderly against the half-Sephi’s cheek.

“..Is that none of it matters, when you’re here.”

A few minutes would pass after he spoke, and Jaikus did not immediately move to break the contact. He lingered there, holding the man close and keeping their foreheads pressed tenderly against one another. And in that moment, the galaxy suddenly felt so very distant. The nocturnal sounds all around them seemed to mute into the background, and instead Jaikus focused upon the gentle sound of the half-Sephi breathing. He focused upon the feeling of those arms wrapped around him that fought back any sense of cold.

When the Axxilan finally did react, he did so by tilting his head up slightly, bringing his lips down to press tenderly against the half-Sephi’s. The grip on the back of the man’s head grew a bit tighter, pulling him close in a way that was almost possessive.

“You know,” He began, breaking their embrace for only a moment. There was a playful grin that returned to his lips. “I did bring another tent with me.” The Axxilan briefly looked back over his shoulder, gesturing to the shoreline.
“I’d quite like to finish what we started, without being interrupted.”

Emryc’s eyes blinked open when Jaikus grasped his wrist, dragging his hand along his chest. He paused there for a moment, but it was unmistakable. He could feel the quick pace of the man’s heart against his chest, the feeling bringing a smile to Emryc’s lips. He met the other man’s gaze, fondly remembering when he shared that memory with him back in that river on Keldooine. That day seemed like centuries ago now, back before he knew he could ever be here today. The Axxilan’s words filled him with that exhilarating rush all over again.

Emryc’s arms were still tightly wrapped around Jaikus, feeling along the goosebumps along his back. The half Sephi felt Jaikus press their lips together, and he used that moment to steal a kiss from the other man. He had meant it about doing that whenever he pleased, and he had taken to keeping up on the agreement by also kissing Jaikus quite frequently as requested. He tugged on his lower lip, but this time paused to nibble on it a bit before releasing. Desire began to build within him again, and he could sense it in Jaikus as well.

The half Sephi didn’t feel like exploring and questioning his thoughts on the other man right then. He didn’t want to speculate on why he was afraid or how Jaikus managed to pierce past his barriers so efficiently. He didn’t want to ask why he felt such an attachment where the thought of parting with the man seemed agonizing. It cut into him every time he walked away from those emerald eyes and when he wondered if would ever see them again.

Jaikus’ words drew out a grin after he pulled back from the kiss, and he didn’t miss the fire burning in those emeralds. The admission that the Axxilan brought a tent both surprised and amused Emryc, especially at his almost naive implication of putting up another tent before making love. The half Sephi reached down and quite casually grasped the man by the backs of his thighs, hoisting him up to wrap his legs around Emryc’s hips. It was exactly the same gesture he once pulled on him back on Serenno, again, under much different circumstances.

Silver gaze stared up at emeralds as he slowly walked back towards shore, “You really think I’m going to be helpful watching you bend over to put some tent stakes in the ground right now?” Amusement glinted in his eye and tone as he carried Jaikus back towards the blanket they had set out earlier. However, this time he used the Force to bodily lift and place the goat on a ledge two levels above them. Though it bleated in confusion, it would take the goat some time to navigate its way back down and make its way back over to the site.

---

The sun was fully up in the sky by the time Emryc returned to the campsite. As usual, he was up at the crack of dawn to do his training and a run around the perimeters. He was sporting a tank, some shorts and sneakers that he managed to salvage from the other tent. Emryc opened a bottle of water and took a sip, hearing the familiar noise of Jaikus’ obnoxious snoring from inside the new tent. After their multiple tumbles under the stars the night prior, Emryc was surprised when the Axxilan had actually helped set up the other tent.

While he started meditating inside the tent as Jaikus fell asleep next to him, Emryc decided it was far too loud for him to continue in there, and he ended up doing so outside. Extracting himself from the other man was far more painful than he had expected.

The goat, unfortunately, was back on the scene. The way it looked at Emryc as it returned he was convinced it was somehow giving him the side eye.

Deciding that it was time to get going, Emryc opened the flap of the tent, “Come on, princess, we gotta go,” He called out before crawling into the tent. Jaikus looked extremely cozy over there and the urge to just lie down and forget the day was almost overwhelming. But first things first.

“I cleaned everything in the other tent except for the shit,” He stated flatly, “That’s all you. You snooze, you lose."

Jaikus couldn’t help but smile widely when Emryc casually hoisted him up, laughing softly as the man began to carry him to shore. It was the second time the half-Sephi had lifted him in such a way, and yet the gesture was wildly different from how it had been on Serenno. In response, Jaikus’ legs hooked securely around the half-Sephi’s hips, while his arms came to loop atop the man’s shoulders.

“Your right,” He spoke, a flame of desire burning within his emerald eyes. The Axxilan leaned forward just then, intent on stealing another brief kiss from Emryc before leaning forward – whispering softly against the fluted ear. “Besides.. I decided I don’t want to wait that long.” Jaikus briefly glanced back as Emryc reached out with the Force, planting the goat upon a steep ledge up off the ground. The sight of it caused amusement to dance across the Axxilan’s expression, as well as a clear sense of relief that washed over him.

He had no desire to be interrupted again.

---

The sun had risen into the morning sky by now, and Jaikus was still laying comfortably within the tent – his buzzsaw-like snores echoing through the canvas shelter. While he didn’t hesitate to help set up the tent, it was clear that the events of the previous evening had left the Axxilan exhausted, and it was clearly reflected in the way that he slept. At one point or another, the Axxilan had rolled over towards the half-Sephi, wrapping his arms about the man and propping his head on Emryc's chest.

Dead to the world at the time, Jaikus didn’t even notice when the Half-Sephi had extracted himself from the tent, remaining sound asleep and instead wrapping his arm around one of the fluffy pillows for comfort.

Fresh beams of sunlight filtered into the tent when Emryc opened the flap, bathing the interior in the first rays of morning. When the half-Sephi crawled inside and spoke, only then did Jaikus rouse from his slumber, tilting his head to face the man looming above him, groggy and still half-asleep.. “It’s barely morning,”

For a moment, he staring up at Emryc with a blank expression, listening to the last thing that he said. Jaikus merely rolled his eyes in response. “Of course you did, how thoughtful.” He groaned. The Axxilan rolled over onto his back, propping himself up into a sitting position on the blanket. His hair had long since dried since the previous night, brown locks twisting into loose ringlets and curls and sticking out in different directions without product to tame them into place.

He was silent for a moment, eyes that still glinted emerald fixating on the half-Sephi. Without warning, Jaikus leaned forward and reached out with both hands, grabbing Emryc by the wrist. “How about,” He spoke, a smirk brushing his lips as he attempted to pull the half-Sephi back onto the tent floor. “We not deal with the goat shit, and relax a bit longer. Not like we’re in any rush anyway. We’ll be guessing without the map.”

Emryc quirked a brow at Jaikus’ words, glancing down at his chrono, “It’s 0900 hours,” He muttered dryly, “Practically half the day is gone already,” He shook his head, fighting back a grin at the sight of the other man’s completely disheveled hair and groggy face. It was far more endearing of a sight than he would admit just then. The half Sephi watched Jaikus plop onto his back, making no moves to actually get up. Emryc shook his head simply.

“Since we don’t have a map, based on some calculations, I can postulate a theory on where-” He was cut off as Jaikus reached over and grabbed him, tugging him down. Despite being able to easily fight it, Emryc allowed the other man to pull him down, plopping down on his back next to the Axxilan. The half Sephi tilted his head to look over at Jaikus, eyeing him suspiciously.

“You can stall all you want, puffer pig,” He stated dryly, “No amount of smooth talking is going to get you out of cleaning that shit,” He was clearly very confident about this. There was no way Jaikus was going to be able to rope him into cleaning that mess. Not a chance. Nope.

The half Sephi considered the rest of what he said, almost scoffing a bit, “I’m kind of a big deal, you know,” He said while flashing his trademark charming smile he was famous for on Holo as President, “I’ve got a schedule to keep,” Despite that, he made no moves to get up, remaining where he landed from Jaikus pulling him down. Though it was true he couldn’t spend endless time here before returning to Senate activities, he wanted nothing more. He also laid there a bit rigidly, wondering if it was out of line to move to hold the other man or not, as Jaikus looked especially warm and inviting after Emryc’s frigid morning run.

Jaikus stared up at Emryc when he spoke, arching a brow slightly at the half-Sephi. There was a hint of amusement in his eyes, especially at the fact that the half-Sephi somehow thought an upper-class diplomat like Jaikus actually understood military time conversions. He wasn’t going to admit this fact, of course, and so simply restated his previous sentiment. “Emryc,” He spoke, his voice still a bit groggy and hoarse from just waking, “It’s early.”

He couldn’t help but smile wide when he felt Emryc plop down beside him, watching as the half-Sephi laid back onto the overabundance of nice pillows that the Axxilan had packed. Jaikus knew the larger man couldn’t easily have resisted his pull – likely even pulled him up in the process – but Emryc had willingly allowed himself to be tugged back onto the ground. It was a subtle gesture that made the man happier than he ever quite realized.

Though the half-Sephi was cut off mid-sentence, Jaikus didn’t miss the beginning what was likely going to be a very logical theory on how to navigate the rest of the way to the temple. He didn’t say anything for a few seconds, only to then turn his head to face the half-Sephi once he was on the ground – a smug smirk tugging at his lips. “You mean you’re going to guess.” He nudged the man with his index finger teasingly.

Emerald eyes narrowed slightly when the half-Sephi reiterated the point about goat shit. Jaikus was hoping that topic would simply fade into the background, and be forgotten until they were ready to leave camp. Remembering how the tent had been when he left it, Jaikus would’ve been happiest to simply leave the damn thing and continue. “I don’t know,” He shrugged, a smirk brushing against his lips. “I am known to be exceptionally convincing."

For a few moments, the Axxilan simply stared at Emryc from where he was laying. He clearly noted the rigid way that the half-Sephi postured, as if nervous to close the bit of distance between them. Though he didn’t understand the reasons for it, Jaikus quickly decided he was not going to give any additional reasoning for such doubts – having come to enjoy having Emryc’s arms around him.

Without another word, Jaikus turned onto his side and wrapped an arm around the half-Sephi, pulling himself a bit closer to the man. He lifted his head, adjusting himself with his cheek laying on the left side of Emryc’s chest. Satisfied with the improve position, the Axxilan listened as Emryc spoke – resisting the urge to roll his eyes. Nonetheless, that charming smile from the man was enough to cause Jaikus to smile a bit wider himself. It always did.

“That so?” He spoke, amusement lacing his words. He tilted his head up to look at Emryc, flashing him a smile while squinting his eyes. “Are you sure you can't fit a few minutes here into your very busy schedule, Mr. President?”

Emryc’s eyes narrowed at Jaikus’ suggestion that he was going to be guessing at navigation. He opened and closed his mouth a few times as if to retort, but in truth he couldn’t refute the claim. For all his very data driven theories, they were still ultimately guesses at best. He settled on simply looking moody for a moment as he yielded that point.

At the suggestion of being convincing and the smirk that played on Jaikus’ lips, Emryc couldn’t help but quirk a brow, “Oh?” He queried, curiosity bleeding into his tone as the Axxilan suddenly had his attention. However, he promptly reminded himself that he had no desire to clean that shit. He wasn’t going to give up so easily when the man spent practically half the day sleeping.

His thoughts came crashing when Jaikus closed the distance between them. His ears twitched at once, betraying how much he desired that gesture. Though confident by nature, there were times Emryc hesitated out of his own self doubts. Jaikus was far ahead of him in that respect, and overall much more mature than Emryc in many ways. The half Sephi slid an arm under him to wrap around his bare torso, pulling him tight and close. He pressed against the Axxilan’s warm, smooth skin, growing to savor the feel and smell of him. It was quickly becoming a source of familiar comfort, and one he found difficult to pull away from.

Emryc lazily trailed his fingers up and down the side of Jaikus’ body as the Axxilan spoke. He tilted his head to look down at the vivid emeralds. Emryc reached down and tugged Jaikus' leg to rest across his lower body, pulling the man even closer.

“Hmm I suppose I can spare a few moments, Moff Altaris,” Emryc smirked, “What motion are you bringing to the floor today?”

Jaikus couldn’t help but grin a bit wider just then, knowing he had the half-Sepi’s attention from the quired brow he received. While the Axxilan had hoped the topic of cleaning goat shit would be forgotten, that clearly wasn’t going to happen, and simply resigned himself to the fact that he wasn’t going to do it. Absolutely not. Not a chance. Surely the man could be convinced. Right?

He didn’t miss twitch of fluted ears when he closed the distance between them, the subtle indicator enough to bring a bright smile to the Axxilan’s lips. Since their encounter at the hospital and the previous night, the boundaries that had once existed had largely melted away. As a result, he was far more confident around the half-Sephi, and did not hesitate to make his desires known by snuggling up against him.

Emerald eyes closed for a moment as Emryc slid an arm around his bare torso, a content hum rolling up his throat in response. It was abundantly clear just how much he desired to have the other man’s arms around him, something he had come to cherish since the first time it occurred. He knew they had places to be and things to do, and yet a growing part of Jaikus simply wanted to stay exactly as they were for hours on end.

Jaikus hugged the man a bit tighter in response, silent for a moment as he focused upon the sound of the man’s heartbeat against his ear. He felt the lazy drag of fingers across his mostly bare skin, still stripped down to his underwear since the night before. The Axxilan tilted his head in response, planting a gentle kiss to the man’s chest before looking back up to meet those silver eyes.

He smiled a bit brighter when he felt his leg pulled across the half-Sephi’s lower body, hooking beneath the man’s leg to keep him close. He listened for a moment as Emryc spoke, a dark brow arching inquisitively.

“Moff Altaris,” Jaikus repeated, unable to help scoffing slightly at that, emerald eyes rolling into the back of his head. Nonetheless, there was a playful expression painted across his lips now – clearly playing along with the little game the half-Sephi had begun. He cleared his throat, speaking in a very serious-not-serious voice. “Thank you for the time, Mr. President. Firstly, I propose that we rest for just a bit longer. Just long enough to properly formulate a plan to reach our destination, and maybe eat something other than granola before hitting the road."

"Additionally, I propose that you deal with remaining sanitation duties. In exchange for any concessions you deem appropriate."
He smirked. The Axxilan was well aware he put himself at the half-Sephi's mercy with that last statement, and yet none of that seemed worse than having to go into that biohazard of a tent.

Emryc had one arm wrapped tightly around Jaikus, the other hand was lazily dragging along the side of his thigh that was draped over his own legs. The half Sephi could easily lay here all day, sinking into the warm bedding and letting Jaikus’ soft breathing lull him to sleep. However, he never slept around others - it took two years to get there with Morgan. He held the other man tighter, grinning as Jaikus repeated his Moff title. However, that grin faded as he stared up at the ceiling of the tent.

What if that became true? What if that was something Jaikus pursued? It shouldn’t have bothered Emryc as much as it did, but there it was that sharp jab deep inside his core that would then creep over to nag at the back of his mind. He didn’t give voice to it, simply looking distant for a brief moment before focusing back on the other man.

The half Sephi eyed him with a grin, Any concessions, eh?” He said simply, preparing to tell him to shove it since he had no desire to clean the damn mess. However, he paused for a moment, blinking as he stared at Jaikus. Emryc tilted his head slightly, “Hmm perhaps….I could be swayed if you were to continue what you began before I ran off by the river on Keldooine,” He felt his face grow hot moments after he blurted out the words. Emryc blinked a few more times, surprised by his boldness. Was that from the new merge with Raze? He cleared his throat, looking at Jaikus to see if he offended the man before he would make a smooth backtracking recovery.

Jaikus nestled his head against the half-Sephi’s torso as he spoke, exhaling softly against the man’s olive skin. With each rise-and-fall of Emryc’s chest, Jaikus could feel a familiar sense of comfort and warmth washing over him. How easy it would’ve been to simply drift back to sleep, to waste the day away exactly as they were. Even as he playfully rattled off his ‘proposals’, Jaikus knew that he was simply stalling having to leave. It didn’t matter if they had charted a course all the way to the ruins and polished off an entire meal before departing, Jaikus still would’ve wanted to lay there.

Positioned as he was, the Axxilan didn't seem to notice the way Emryc’s smile faded while staring at the ceiling above. He brushed off the Moff title without any additional thought, his attention remaining on nothing but the present moment. While he embraced the playful usage of it now, there was nothing about such a position, in reality, that appealed to the Axxilan. It was a responsibility he had no desire for, and the thought of such notoriety filled him with a distinct dread.

Instead of lingering on it, Jaikus’ attention was drawn to the sound of Emryc’s voice. He noted the grin on the man’s face, and his own lips began to curl upwards in response. “Any,” He muttered, a brow arching slightly. Emerald eyes visibly widened at the request from the half-Sephi, clearly having not expected the bold response. Jaikus felt a familiar heat burning against his cheeks, and it was one that Emryc would’ve clearly been able to see as well.

He blinked a few times, watching as Emryc suddenly looked as if he’d been surprised by his own words. It was a sight that caused Jaikus to grin a bit wider, his head tilting slightly. He could tell that Emryc was reading his reaction, and considering their activities the night prior, the Axxilan didn’t really understand the reasons why. Nonetheless, just as before, he wasn’t about to give any additional justification for such doubts.

Without another word, Jaikus abruptly shifted from where he was laying. He already had an arm and leg swung over the half-Sephi, and he used the grip to pull himself until he was securely on top of the man. His legs spread wide around the half-Sephi’s figure, while his hands planted into ground on either side of the man’s shoulders. He lingered for only a moment, staring down at the man before closing the distance. He leaned down to press a kiss affectionately against the half-Sephi’s neck, his teeth grazing gently as his breath vibrated against the man’s skin.

“Hardly a concession.”

With that, Jaikus began to work his way downward from the man’s neck – traversing a path across the man’s collarbone until he reached the half-Sephi’s chest. He lingered there for a moment longer, once more planting a kiss against the skin. This time his lips parted before he continued downward, playfully biting down onto the man’s chest. All the while, his eyes never broke contact with Emryc – emerald’s fixated upon the half-Sephi unwaveringly.

He continued to sink down lower, trailing kisses across Emryc’s stomach and navel and lower still. He bit down onto the waistband of Emryc’s shorts as he passed, tugging them down and looking as if he meant to removed them, only to teasingly allow them to snap back into place. Instead, Jaikus brought his hand up from his side – fingers curling tightly into the hem of those shorts, exactly as he had done on Keldooine. This time, however, Jaikus tugged the garments a bit firmer than he had before, urging them to slip well below the half-Sephi’s waist. Once more, Jaikus began to trail kisses as he lowered, his lips parting when he finally reached his destination.
