DESCRIPTION​

Most spacecraft come equipped with civilian-grade maneuvering jets designed to help them navigate through space more easily. Military ships such as starfighters and corvettes, however, often need more jets and more powerful thrusters to help them navigate dogfights and space battles. These thrusters increase the sublight maneuvering abilities of the ship they are installed on, making it more effective in combat conditions. The thrusters will work on anything smaller than a medium freighter, including courier ships, light freighters, and shuttles. While most small military craft like corvettes and fighters also come with jets, the jets can be upgraded to further increase their output, although the effect won't be as dramatic for a military ship as a civilian one.

Due to the power draw of the jets, and ship they are equipped to will suffer a -5 MGLT reduction in sublight speed.

Restricted. There is rarely a good reason for a non-military ship to have these jets so certain licenses are required to use them.
