Per my OP template, thread is death enabled
Corra was a little bit nervous but also excited. Of course, she knew of Darth Arcanos and she had eagerly eaten up all of his classes about sorcery and alchemy that she could. Literally every class he had taught, she had been in attendance - except the one where she had food poisoning - and had diligently - and sloppily - taken a whole lot of notes.

She made her way up to the office that Darth Arcanos was using for his temporary time on Umbara and knocked on the door.

She waited until she was told to enter and would make her way inside, trying to calm the pounding of her heart. She did a pretty good job of presenting a cool external demeanor, but of course, the Force betrayed her.

Lord Arcanos, she said, giving a respectful bow and trying not to lose the myriad of books that were stuffed under her arm as she did. Most of them were her own notebooks but one was a leather-bound tome that she had checked out of the archives.

Thank you for seeing me. Or for holding office hours or... ahem, she cleared her throat and gave another stiff bow. Despite having gone to his lectures, she still didn't really have any kind of idea what he was like as a person in a one-on-one setting.

Azar missed Umbara more than he would admit. He missed his little nook where he spent many nights with Karys and concocting various potions. Hell, he even missed making acolytes try potions if they misbehaved. Azar was crowned King on Korriban and he planned to open up the academy as a main Sith base. He needed a break before his next campaign against the desert tribes, so he returned briefly to Umbara to teach. While he was thrust into the role originally by Tempest, he had grown to enjoy it quite a bit over the years.

The Pureblood was going over some pages with runes on them when he sensed a visitor for his office hours. Azar was adorned in dignified robes, his yellow gaze flicking up as the acolyte stumbled through her words. There was an almost amused expression on his face as he rested a chin on curled fingers. He said nothing, letting a few seconds tick by to let her stew in her own discomfort. Eventually, he silently gestured for her to take a seat.

“You needn’t be so nervous. I don’t plan on offering you a potion,” He said breezily as he stashed away the papers he was reviewing, “Your essay on telekinesis was compelling,” Azar remarked, “How may I help you, Acolyte Tann?”

Ah, yes, excellent. Thank you, my lord, she said. He was so smooth in how he spoke and acted, but she wasn't so trusting as to assume that "best interests" were really at heart. Sith were Sith, after all, no matter how nice they may seem.

Oh, thank you! she said, her face lighting up a bit as he complimented her work. It was beyond gratifying to have her efforts recognized. Her time in the Korriban academy probably should have seen her already launched into Championship, but her lack of control over her powers had held her frustratingly back.

I was hoping to talk to you about something... irregular, she said. She was probably grasping onto hope when it came to this topic, but she refused to simply give up. She couldn't give up because the dreams wouldn't stop.

I wanted to talk about prophecies and oneiromancy, she said, deciding that just being straightforward was the best route. He had mentioned prophecy in one of his recent lectures, and she felt it was probably a stretch to come to him with a problem of her own. She half-expected to be turned away, but she was hoping the rarity of oneiromancy as a gift (or a curse as Corra sometimes felt it was) might pique his interest. Rarer even than psychometry, it was also significantly harder to control.

Specifically if you... know of ways to interpret thing seen in... visions, she said.

“This is a tricky topic,” Azar said calmly as he pondered her question, “Because many times it can be difficult to decipher if something is a prophecy or a manufactured stream of consciousness,” It was, after all, the Sith way to twist and manipulate. There had been many times in history where something was constructed as a ‘prophecy’ only to lead people to their doom.

“Where do these visions occur and are there patterns to styles or triggers?” He asked. It was clear she suddenly had his interest. Of the countless different applications of the Force he studied, this one was up there among the most cryptic and vague. It wouldn’t be easy to answer her questions, but he would dig for selfish reasons to learn more himself. Was she, perhaps, a Seer as they were named back in the Kissai clans?

Corra was still uncomfortable speaking about this, but her own knowledge on the topic - even after studies - was too limited to reach conclusions. She needed someone who understood things about the Force that she could currently only dream of. She needed a Sith Lord.

At night, she said. Most nights, I have... dreams. They've been happening as long as I can remember. At first I thought it was just nightmares, but then I noticed that these things would... happen, she said.

Sometimes if I've spent a great deal of time meditating recently, I can... almost walk around them, but most of the time I'm just a passive observer, she said.

Sometimes they're random and mundane, but often they're filled with... violence, she said, bristling slightly at the memory of many of the dreams. She'd lost count of how many times she felt she ahd been ripped apart by abominations on Coruscant or Denon. The number of times she had been burned in the fires of an orbital strike.

They become more frequent when there is a violent or dark event, she said. As does my control within them, she explained. Violence and death seemed to conjure her visions, and it so often made it a literal nightmare to go to sleep.

The more she talked, the more intrigued Azar became. He had entirely selfish reasons for this, of course, because someone like her could glimpse into messages from the Divine. It was difficult to tell how much of that was superstition or truth, but he would find out for himself. The Sith Lord eyed her quietly, sitting eased back in his seat like a content cat.

“Hmm,” He mused, “It is possible to venture into your mind while you are in a lucid state. It would be in the plane of the Force, a thread we grasp and then enter into your thoughts,” Azar said, “I would see everything in there, but in turn we may find the answers you seek. Whether it be these messages conveyed to you…or the truth of what you are.”

The Sith Lord’s face remained impassive, deceptively calculating. He gazed down at his manicured nails, “Up to you, of course, acolyte,” He said breezily.

Somehow Corra felt that she was in a spider's web. Like she had accidentally wandered into Shelob's lair and didn't know which tunnels to take back out.

But she was already in it at this point. If he wanted, he could just take whatever he wanted from her whether she consented or not. Perhaps if she worked with him, she could at least get the answers she was looking for.

Okay, she said, having a guess about what exactly that would entail. She was coming to him because she had already done her own research and although her power was lacking, her research skills were unparalleled.

Shared dreaming, I assume? she said. It would require him to construct a stable world that she would then populate with beings from her subconscious. Layers on layers they would build that would allow them to delve into not only her mind and dreams, but hopefully find some answers.
