A quick trip to Ruusan sector shows we may be wrong about the Killiks. When heading to the Sector, which came to the forefront of the news after Governor Omah died in an attempt to bring together warring factions, one notices a distinct change in the worlds, with people working together more than ever. A Sector united, Joined together in harmony, despite the ongoing drama across the Galaxy that continues to divide Us.

I wrote recently about the Killik, and wrongly suggested that they could bring harm to Us as a galaxy.

Upon returning to the sector to conduct my own investigation, I can now safely say I have never been more wrong. Food is plentiful, crime is almost unreportable, with none of the Joined engaging in any practices that would harm their neighbours - indeed, it is only those who have not Joined who carry out illegal acts against Us as a community.

Perhaps, we have much to learn from the Killik?

War is not commonplace, instead they encourage Us to work together toward a collective end, Joined as one, with a shared goal and focus. The alternative sees Us at each others throats, righting over resources we could share, instead of hoard, and spreading violence instead of Unity, often in the name of forgotten and dangerous force-based religions. The end of all of this? A loss to all of Us, when planets burn and its' people suffer.

Maybe, instead of looking at the Killik with doubt in our minds, we should open ourselves up to the idea that maybe, it would be better for Us all, if we had a more open mind to their approach.
