BIOGRAPHY

Mallister Keynion was born on the planet Terminus located within the Terminus system of the Outer Rim Territories. The planet was rife with shipping activity, intersecting with the Corellian Trade Spine and Hydian Way hyperspace routes. It's said among spacers and wayfarers alike that "Terminus is a circus of the curious"—a fitting phrase, given that the skies crawl with some the weirdest and wackiest ships that had ever shaken hands with the stars. Not only that, but the inhabitants were no less curious of what those stars held in store should they ever take to them.

Mal was one such boy, spending his nights staring up, a mite reluctant to turn around to the call of his parents and go back in for supper or bedtime. For all their love and that which he returned, the skies, the stars and the cosmos itself felt like the father and mother he never had, just waiting to welcome him with open arms. He would see those ships pass beneath, cast shadows with the moonlight. He would throw stones with his friends onto derelict roads as they hung their legs over bridges, but Mal would still be looking up, wondering if one of those ships would one day be his own. Fate, however, had a different plan in store.

Mal was in his twenties, scrubbing floors and tuning vessels in a shipyard, when his day had come. It wouldn't be his own ship he would fly but he would fly. Soldiers were needed and he enlisted, planted his boots on the ramp and took to the stars—finally. The memories since have never faded away, even years later. After leaving the military behind, Mal used what funds he had acquired to purchase his own ship. Wasn't a beauty but it worked and its crew worked it—for a while, anyway. They took odd jobs, enough to survive and get by and keep their ship afloat, without much care as to what the job was. Some jobs, though, were tougher than others, and one ended up seeing Mal's crew wiped out except for himself. Space was funny like that.

Mal has been drifting ever since, idling in the never ending blackness between planets and moons alike, but his time alone will only last for so long. He's still flying. It's not much, but it's enough. For now.

PERSONALITY

Mal has a code to his character even if some would quickly type him as a lowly criminal and a dirty smuggler. Well, he might be those very things, shrugging at a job that bends the rules or breaks the law, but what he is not is a ruthless or heartless soul even despite his questionable ideals. He might steal a shipment of food on its way to a Hutt with no need of it, but if he finds out that the food was stolen from a community that now went without it then, well, sometimes the money just isn't worth it.

Nonetheless, this is not a man to be trifled with, despite his less than serious persona. He is happy to smile and joke around, often a victim of awkward situations, but if someone shoots at him then he will shoot back, ideally with the aim of making sure that person can never shoot him again. More than his own sense of self-preservation, those who threaten the ones he holds close are in for a rude awakening. He is a fan of fair fights but a person who has truly become his enemy is one who ends up fighting a combat pragmatist who has no shame in it.
