As he finished his thoughts, he was left with her simply staring at him. For a moment, he thought he had said something astronomically stupid, but then he noticed the look didn't say that at all. It was a look that said much more. She looked away quickly but he couldn't help himself. You might get yourself in trouble if you keep looking at me like that, he said, echoing her words from the night before. It had been something a bit unexpected to them both but certainly not unwelcome.

His eyebrow arched at mention of the Darksaber. It was an item that he had heard mentioned a handful of times from the days of the Chosen until now, but only one attempt had even been thought up and it had quickly sputtered and died. You wanna go for it? he asked, thinking about how viable such an option would be. It would be risky, but when were the things they did not risky?

He kept puffing away on his cigar, pacing the room slowly as she seemed to be hurriedly getting dressed. I think we could do that. There've gotta be a handful of us that are as crazy as you and I are, he said. It was only then that he heard someone fiddling with the door. Standing there, half naked, in a place he wasn't supposed to be in, he looked around for something to do.

He grabbed the fire extinguisher out from under the sink and charged down the hall, spraying the people as they began to run in and screaming FIRE! The people were caught off guard - as he hoped - and he all but pushed them out of the room, smacking his hand against the fire alarm in the hallway as he did before slamming the door in their faces. He spun around, uncharacteristically wide-eyed and looked at Talia. Perhaps his mind was still telling him how scandalous this was since he wasn't usually so squeamish about crimes. He began to quickly grab his clothes and throw them on and looked to Talia... Uh... got another way out? he asked, thinking about windows or the like.

As Dak echoed the words about looking at him, Talia bit her lip and tossed a thermal det at him to bounce off his head, the settings rigged only to detonate on remote command. She grinned at him with a wink, “Careful what you say,” That was before the kitchen incident and she made sure to collect all her belongings then.

Talia barely popped her helmet on and began to find a way to contact Dak about a plan. All of that promptly went out the window when he came charging down the hall with the fire extinguisher. Talia barely managed to duck out of the way as the screaming ensued and the realtor and the couple both started freaking out. The realtor even tried to bossily tell Dak to cut it out, but she was all but physically shoved out, the door shut in her face.

Talia could only stare, her jaw hanging open beneath her helmet. She saw him standing there half dressed, the fire alarms blaring. She heard people down the hall as the entire building was being cleared. Talia sighed, biting back a laugh, “We need to get out now,” She looked at the parts of his armor, not spotting a jetpack anywhere.

“Am I going to have to Mirdala your ass?!” With a sigh, she gave him about five seconds to grab anything else he had. If he didn’t have time to put a shirt on, then tough luck. Without a word, Talia grabbed a hold of him, hugging him to her chest before activating her jetpack. She had done this same maneuver with Mirdala before and had to explicitly tell him not to cop a feel. She almost gave the same warning here, but held back with a grin, “Don’t flail.”

With that, she jetted back, putting her back against the window to shatter through it without a problem, curling over Dak to keep him protected from shards. The exit may have caught the attention of some folks on the ground, but she would be long gone by then and off to a far away rooftop.

Dak had grown more than accustomed to throwing his armor on quickly, but even then, five seconds wasn't enough time. By the time she grabbed him, he at least had his undersuit and helmet on, though his gunbelt was only half attached and flapping about wildly and his torso armor and gauntlets were in hand.

She went through the window and he was glad he had his helmet on, lest he lose an eye to the glass shards. He gritted his teeth as they went hurtling through the air, trying not to think about what would happen if she lost her grip on him.

Thankfully, she didn't, and he all but spilled out onto the ground when they landed. Unfortunately for her, his hands had been too full to cop another feel, so he would just have to make it up to her another time. You could have at least let me finish getting dressed! he faked indignation as he began putting his armor back on. You should at least buy me breakfast before you rocket me out of your apartment, he said, not able to bite back a laugh anymore.

And we were having a perfectly nice morning... he complained. Actually, speaking of breakfast, want to get some? I'm starving. In some ways, it was as if nothing had happened between the two of them, but there was a faint bit of tension that wasn't there before mixed in with the moments like this that were typical Dak and Talia.

Talia barely landed before Dak was already making quips at her. She quirked an eyebrow at his comment, “My apartment? I would have still been lounging about if that were my apartment,” She glanced back at the apartment in question, and she could still hear the alarms blaring. People were now standing outside in the cold, all complaining about a fire. She began to hear sirens as the fire department began to rush over. Talia could only shake her head at the clusterfudge this was.

She looked at him as he seriously mentioned going out for breakfast. He purposely had avoided mentioning anything about their night together. Did anything need to be mentioned? He was doing everything right by not bringing it up. Why then did she feel so bizarre about it? His question to her about the way she looked at him buzzed at the back of her mind, even though she had asked it first.

Silence hung for a few moments as she chewed the inside of her lip. Talia despised when emotions got involved, and even she couldn’t deny a painful case of the feels. She internally panicked a little, knowing just how bad all instances of feels worked out. Talia cleared her throat, “Um.. I should.. uh… probably plan out this… Dantooine mission… yeah..” It was rare for her to fumble over her words like this, “I’ll contact you when I’ve put the team together…yup..”

With that, she awkwardly waved at him before walking backwards and off the edge of the roof. She activated her jetpack and shot away into the distance, running away from any possible hints of feelings bubbling up. Facing numerous Sith Lords seemed more doable to her than wrangling emotions.

....Well that had not gone as expected. He just wanted some eggs and bacon. Dak watched Talia fumble over her words in confusion - something he couldn't recall her ever doing before - and left him... also confused. He watched her suddenly disappear with her jetpack before he could get another word in and he sat there, blinking.

At first, there was confusion because he really just wanted to get breakfast, but a split second later, realization set in. Well that went swimmingly. Great job Dak, 10/10, he grumbled to himself as he got the rest of his gear back on, promptly realizing he was stuck on a roof without a jetpack... Thanks, T... he said with another sigh.

He picked his way through the lock on the roof and made the slow trip down, actively berating himself for having gotten into this situation. Great job, Dak. You've probably ruined the one good friendship you have because you can't keep your pants on. Kriffing idiot, you deserve whatever terrible things happen to you, he continued muttering under his breath, intentionally wandering down the sketchiest alleys, halfway hoping someone would attack him just so he could shoot them. He had no such luck, and now he'd even lost his appetite!

Just calm down, stupid, he said, taking in a deep breath and letting it out. Alright, you're going to go back to the Revenge and see if she's there since that is kinda her ticket off this rock. If not, you can com her? Or something... This was much more complicated than a woman he didn't care at all about or concern himself with what happened. The problem was that there was genuine caring there, which made this whole thing and issue.

She wasn't there, so Dak typed out no fewer than eight versions of the same message on his com before finally sending. Hey Talia. Just wanted to make sure you were okay? You took off in a hurry and seemed upset. I didn't mean to say anything I shouldn't have or anything like that. Just wanted to get some breakfast because I was hungry. Let me know if you're doing all right. I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable.
