M'haeli, Independent Space, 0955 Hours

The Jedi have been looking to expand their influence across the galaxy, and noted how they have been isolated from the southern regions of the galaxy. While there was conflict in the northern regions with all of the factions, the Jedi would send a group of individuals to build Temples and Bases of Operations towards the southern regions. Dimetri was among those individuals sent. His intellect and ideas of progression were helpful in the choice of sending him.

When Dimetri was told they were going to M'haeli he couldn't help but think it was a perfect opportunity. The mountains would serve as a great hidden cover and the land in the plains would be perfect for growing crops. Not to mention the planet was rich in Dragite Crystals, which were essentially the same as Kyber Crystals. The Jedi would have a way to bring back the proper search for the crystal that speaks to the Jedi. No longer would they have been given a crystal from storage.. now they could have a chance to do just as the Jedi of old used to. A spark of joy fluttered inside Dimetri. It was finally time for him to have a chance to become a true Jedi.

Arriving to the planet from hyperspace, the Mirialan teenager would look around to see his allies and just smile before speaking,

"It is an honor to found a Temple with the rest of you today. My ancestor would be proud of each and every one of you."

The ship would land and the Jedi, and all the builders would arrive to their destination. It was hidden away, and abandoned. Looked as if untouched for decades. Dimetri was sure that if had gone this long without any life being in sight, then things would look good for the Jedi. This building could serve as a Temple on the outside, but on the inside in the lower levels it would make sense to update it in such a way to create that Base of Operations. The two-in-one deal was too good to not take.

As the Mirialan walked through the snow of the mountains, he would call out to everyone else,

"Come on we have work to do!"

Zakrym La had come to aid in the founding of a Jedi Enclave, the seedling of what could one blossom into a fully fledged Jedi Temple. The Jedi Grandmaster had commissioned task forces of Jedi Masters, Knights, and Padawans who were not involved with the fighting on the northern fronts of the war to establish strong point to the southern edges of the galaxy. While Zak was not a strategically minded being, to him, it made sense to create your safe points far from the reach of your enemies. And to state that M'haeli was far from the gaze of the Sith would be an understatement, with the closest world under Sith control being Malastare which itself was several hundreds of thousands of light years away. From Zak's prospective, M'haeli was an excellent prospective world.

Zak read about the world as they traveled through hyperspace, familiarizing himself with the fauna, flora, and the cultural norms of the people there. He wanted to be sure that the Jedi didn't appear to be a threat once they made it planet-side, instead he wanted to foster beneficial relations between the M'haeli people and the Jedi. He learned of the H'drachi people, who were the natives of the planet, and how the original human colonists pushed them into ghettos to make way for swathes of farmlands. He wasn't sure of any cultural shifts since this time period over one hundred years ago but naturally assumed that the society hadn't grown more equitable over time.

Zak felt the ship drop from hyperspace, he let out a small sigh of disappointment as he slid the datapad back into his pocket and then a slight grunt as he forced himself into a sitting position and hopped down from his top bunk. There was one interesting resource found on M'haeli that Zak had read about, the Dragite Crystals. They were essentially Kyber Crystals but under a different name, and it had been years since a Jedi had been able to find any naturally occurring crystals to create their lightsabers from. The fact this world had the potential to change that cause hope to swell up in Zak's heart as walked briskly towards the meeting area where the other Jedi would likely be converging.

Zak arrived as Padawan Dimetri began speaking, Zak crossed his arms and leaned on his right shoulder against the doorframe leading into the room as he listened to the young man speak. The excitement of the Padawan was infectious and could be felt almost as a static charge in the air. It caused a grin to appear on the Togruta's face as the anticipation built up within him as well.

"I couldn't agree more Dimetri." Zak finally stated once the teenager had finished speaking. "I'm guessing that everyone already familiarized themselves with the locals, their culture, and the history of M'haeli?" He asked, his blue eyes scanning the gathered Jedi.

They jumped out of hyperspace and Wayson saw the world they will be claiming. The temple was in the mountains where the cold was. Damn the cold, it has been just a back-to-back trip to cold environments for Wayson. Anteevy was clearly just the beginning for him and his Padawan. This had to stop, or they will both turn blue and while some Twi'leks were blue humans aren't supposed to be that color.

Dressed in his armor except for his helmet the Jedi, had another thick cloak over him to help keep warm to his body. Wayson was still excited to see the Jedi moving. Each step to prepare themselves for the war against the Sith was a good step in Wayson's mind.

For a second Wayson stopped to think about how much the war has taken up all his waking time. For now, let him focus on building a temple. A Mirialan teenager spoke up first introducing himself and how it was an honor to work with them. Wayson found the energy in the Padawan addictive and even he smiled.

Before Wayson could agree Zak spoke up asking about those who read up on the native people. A small bead of sweat went down his back as the Togruta began to interrogate them with his eyes. Maybe Wayson was just tired and forgot to read about the world or perhaps Wayson thought since they were just going to a secluded temple that there wasn't much reason to learn about the natives when they can just visit them later.

"For those who might have been meditating on the future and the construction of the temple mind giving a brief yet insightful overview of the natives?" Wayson said walking past the Zak with a smile and walking out of the ship and feeling the cold breeze of the wind hit his face.

It wasn't as bad as Anteevy but it was still cold, he only hoped there were no evil temples here as well.

"Well, the H'drachi are a pretty simple people." Lucifrey stepped out from behind the large human that had been blocking her from the view of the others. It was difficult to make her out in the thick white coat that made her look like a marshmallow, but she was still pretty small nonetheless. Her azure eyes studied the screen of her smartpad dataphone as she took a couple more steps forward and joined the group. The bottom half of her face was nearly hidden by the coat's neck, while her long light purple twin-tails were currently tucked inside her poofy fur-lined hood. Protruding from the front of that would be the vivid blue tips of her natural horns. With each breath visible from the cold she continued with her response, directing it at the gathered Jedi.

"It looks like the humans took over, and well... We know how humans are." She looked over to Knight Hanson with a playful smirk and jokingly nudged her elbow at the man without touching him to show she didn't mean any harm with the jest. Then her bright eyes fell back to the screen as she continued to scroll through the notes she'd taken during her research of the planet and its people.

"There's a capitol toward the equator --" Her left hand went up to her chin and held it for a moment as she continued to go through the notes. "Which of course the humans rule, not the native species." A pause as she scrolled more and tried to decide which bits of information would be relevant for now.

"There's been some war here, and the H'drachi were all pretty much pushed into ghettos, so we should probably keep that in mind when dealing with the locals -- and there's a couple more small details..." She trailed off as she thumbed through a little bit more, then locked the screen and tucked the device into one of the tight little pockets at the hip of the dark purple thigh-high skirt that was barely poking out from under her ridiculously large coat. Given that the stockings she wore were only doing so much to keep her warm, it might be apparent the girl was actually less bothered by the cold than the size of her coat would suggest.

"But hey! Even though it's super cold here this place is really beautiful! Can't wait to get it going with you guys!" She took in a deep breath, attuned herself to the Force surrounding them, and stretched her arms back behind her as she intwined her fingers to push the stretch further. A soft hum escaped her lips, then she let her hands drop to the back of her hips and turned her attention to the other Jedi, realizing that up until now she had been pretty distracted by her smartpad and hadn't properly introduced herself to everyone yet.

"By the way, I'm Padawan Lucifrey Sol." Her eyes closed and turned into archs as she smiled at the others and slightly tilted her head to the side. "It's so nice to meet you all!"

Moving forward in the cold air, Dimetri was checking out the large building found in the side of the mountain they were on. There was so much beauty behind it, and it had that cool rustic vibe. Soon the Jedi will be able to bring it back to life. The engineers, and builders that had come along made their way to the building soon to be their Temple. Dimetri looked back at the rest of the Jedi and would laugh proudly.

"It looks absolutely grand doesn't it? I can't wait to check out the inside of it."

Looking around he could see how bundled up in warm clothes everyone was, and realized that not everyone was a native to a cold planet. It was funny, as his cold weather gear was no where near the size of the others. The coat on Lucifrey was almost comical. Waving the rest of the Jedi over he would begin to make his way into the soon to be temple and be awed by what he sees.

"Looks like it was abandoned decades ago.."

There was at first no sign of life, or light for that matter. The young Mirialan would pull out his saber and ignite it, letting it's yellow light fill the room. Looking around he wouldn't find much significance in the immediate area. Looked to be a rather large empty room. Possibly a new training room for the padawans. Could also be a meditation area. Or anything else that they might need. Down in front of him was a hallway, and it looked to split in two different directions. Maybe it would lead to something telling them what happened here or who may have been here before. Maybe where the light switch is.

Zak smirked as the other two Jedi passed him by, he’d met both of them on Kashyyyk during refugee relocation humanitarian effort. While all the other Jedi were bundled up in the jackets for cold weather, Zak was wearing his robes overtop a thermal suit. So, while he appeared to not be wearing much in actuality, Zak was quite warm for the most part; it was only his cheeks that felt the wintery kiss of the mountain redoubt. Zak stepped off the ship once everyone had passed him by and followed Dimetri into a small flurry that had picked up. The wind whipped up the loosely fallen snow and mixed it with the light downfall, causing a hazy effect that lightly obscured his vision. Frosty breath rose in smoky puffs as Zak trudged forward, the snow crunching beneath his leather boots, his grey-blue eyes remained locked on the group of silhouettes before him as they marched in a single file line.

Steadily, the outline of a shadowy monolith appeared on the horizon, indicating a snowcapped craggy peak that the group was headed towards. After a few more minutes of tirelessly marching forward, eventually the peak came into view. Zak stopped and gazed in awe at what he saw before him for a moment, carved into the rock of the peak sat a single structure of considerable age, it was mighty, it was beautiful. In this pause Zak allowed himself some time to commune with the Force, a smile spread across his frigid lips as his eyes briefly closed.

After a short and calm exhale, Zak dove into the warm waters of the Living Force. Zak felt the gentle currents wrap him in their embrace, pass through him, and guide him deeper into the calming tranquil sea that was all living things. Here, on M’haeli the Force breathed the same life it did everywhere else in the Galaxy, Zak could feel a variety of lifeforms in his immediate vicinity as they carried about their lives, most completely unaware of his presence. However, Zak only allowed himself precious few moments to enjoy the depth of joy communing with the Force brought him before he slowly and gently pulled himself back to his own senses.

He huffed as the cold chill set in once more. He smiled at the connection to this world he had quietly made. This would be a home away from home.

With his brief meditation over, Zak quickly slogged through the snow to catch up with his companions. He had spent roughly thirty seconds in his trance-like state, in that time they had likely pulled away from him, and so like with the ship, Zak would be the last of them to enter the ruins of this fortress. Eventually, Zak would catch up to the rest of the exploration team and he would see young Dimetri withdraw his lightsaber and ignite the blade to cast dull light into the ruins to guide them. Zak followed suit and withdrew his own shoto saber, activated it, and lifted it above his face at a horizontal angle, to cast the rear of their group in a brilliant blue to contrast Dimetri’s yellow blade.

Zak’s head turned about as the group eventually came to a large empty space, his eyes soaked in the area and all the potential it could have for the Order. Excitement filled his heart and his smile only widened. Eventually, his cursory gaze focused in on a hallway that eventually split into two different directions. Zak’s lightsaber hummed as he pointed towards the hall with the blade, he wanted to be certain everyone else saw it before he spoke.

Maybe we should split up to explore the rest of the compound?” He suggested. “Lucifrey and I can take the hallway to the left.” He continued. “Sound good?

"Hn!" Luci let out a soft squeak and gave a nod to Zak. "Sounds good!" The half-Tiefling's thin blue tail perked up behind her and waved happily as a smile traced across her lips. She couldn't wait to spring the news on him that she'd actually been reassigned to him as his new Padawan, but she couldn't lie that part of her missed her old Master and hoped he was okay. With the passing thought Lucifrey then reached up with both hands and pulled her wide hood back to reveal the dark blue half of her horns along with her long light purple twin-tails, which she then shook out so they'd hang free at her back. She then gently pinched her zipper and pulled it down to open her big puffy coat.

The petite Padawan's tight white top mixed with the blue and yellow glows of the others' lightsabers, which was then shortly followed by the purple tint of her simple practice saber once she Pulled it through the ebb and flow from the left side of her slender hips to grasp it in her right hand and ignite it. The elegant hiss of the purple saber softly echoed in the wide open chamber once it activated. If she was being honest the thing she was most looking forward to here was the chance they might find crystals. Even though they weren't Kybers, it would still be something for her to forge her first real lightsaber with! With her saber lifted at a somewhat horizontal angle above and away from the slightly reflective front half of her glamorous horns she then turned toward the hallway Zak had pointed out.

"Should we check for traps?" The innocent adolescent asked enthusiastically while making her way toward the hall on the left. Her shining blues scanned across the floor and walls as she walked, her focus shifting to the vibe of the Force surrounding them as she moved. Her perception felt as though it expanded outward once she stopped in front of the seemingly unending pitch-black corridor. Then a shiver rippled across her skin.

Luci pulled back with a hushed shriek and a slightly concerned look on her face. She then paused for a moment longer and gazed down the hall, then finally released a heavy sigh. With the eerie sensation having passed she then nervously looked back at the others and gave a nervous little chuckle. "Uhh... heh heh... May the Force be with us?" She held the mixed expression for a moment longer before she turned back to the hall.

'You got this Luci!' She cheered to herself as she took in a deep breath and tried to psyche herself up. With the visibly breathy exhale she'd then steady her nerves as best she could. Then she'd go to move down the hall on the left if nobody stopped her. She had to prove to these boys that she was just as useful as they were! However, if Zak tried to take the lead then she would happily let him pass and take it.

Zakrym and Lucifrey were going to go down the left path. Dimetri caught notice of the breakdown by Lucifrey followed by her nervous laugh. Something about that made him feel slightly offset but he knew if Zakrym were going with her she would be in good hands. As the two would begin to leave he would give a nod as he spoke to them,

"May the force be with you."

As for himself and Wayson. They would be heading down the right path. Dark and mysterious. Luckily the amount of light the Yellow saber produced was enough to see for any reactionary actions they may need to take in the event that there was wildlife of some sort hidden down the way. The Padawan was still pretty amped with the mission and wanted more than anything to be able to honor Luminara in every way he could. Happy to kill the silence he would begin to speak to Wayson,

"So, how long have you been fighting for the light with the Jedi?"

Interested in what the Knight had to say he would continue to walk down the path looking for any doors that might lead to another room or a stairwell. As the Knight would answer Dimetri would continue to listen while also finding a door to the left in the hall. A few meters down was a door to the right. Ready to make entry into the room he noticed the sliding door was cracked open. Knowing if he used force to open it, the engineers with them on this mission would be able to fix it. So he would pry it open with his mind to reveal what looked to be an arms room of some sort. Filled with old school Clone armor as well as standard issue Republic rifles.

A smile lit up on Dimetri's face as he hoped there might be something more in the room. Looking to Wayson he would happily say,

"Maybe if there's clone stuff here, there could be older Jedi relics or something here as well. Maybe not this room but somewhere."

The other Jedi seemed to agree with Zak's suggestion of splitting up to quickly cover more ground while exploring the would be temple. They even seemed to agree on how the party should be split composition wise as well. Zak felt the excitement of the situation build up in him once more as he began to walk just slightly behind Luci, allowing the young Tiefling woman to lead their path. Once they came to the split in the hallway, Dimetri parted ways with the traditional well wish of the Order.

"And may the Force be with the both of you as well!" Zak replied in a voice dripping with energy and excitement.

Zak didn't immediately set down the hallway, instead he waved Dimetri and Wayson goodbye, even if it would only be for a brief time. Afterwards, he would turn to face Luci, only to realize the young girl had taken several paces down the hall on her own. This caused Zak to immediately grimace at his own lack of awareness. He briskly walked to catch up with Luci and tried his best to play it off as if she hadn't gotten too far away from him.

The duo made decent pace down the first hallway, the first stretch of which rolled out for nearly 300 feet. Through the entirety of hallway there were doorways, each of them was evenly space ten feet a part, and only found on the right hand wall of the hallway. Some of these doorways had doors that were partially or completely open in one form or another. In the case of finding an open door, Zak would stop, shine his lightsaber into the room, casting a brilliant blue glow into the room, and peak inside. The first time he did this, a dingy white helmet reflect back from what appeared to be the remnants of a bunk.

"Oh wow!' He exclaimed before he slipped into the room to investigate further.

Zak would pick up the helmet and inspect it, his grey-blue eyes wide with excitement as he inspected the aged and clearly damaged piece of equipment. Zak had seen helmets like these in old holovids and even older holonew cast segments from before the Republic transitioned into the Galactic Empire. The helmet gripped in Zak's hand was one that had been worn by one of the most elite soldier in the galaxy, the helmet was a Phase II Clone Helmet.

"Luci, come look at this!" He called out to her, so completely engrossed in his find, it wouldn't matter if she was standing next to him or not. "Do you recognize this?" He asked excitedly in a rhetorical question. "This is a helmet that was once worn by the Clone Troopers of the Galactic Republic." He explained. "Isn't this so cool?" He asked her, his eyes finally peeling from the helmet and to Luci.

A sly smile appeared across Zak’s lips before he suddenly slapped the helmet on his head. His montrals sliding almost perfectly through the broken top of the helmet, there was only one uncomfortable pinch as it went on. Once on, Zak attempted to strike the most dashing and heroic pose he could muster.

What do you think, am I hero of the Republic material?” He asked in a deep false base voice.

After a moment, Zak wouldn’t be able to help it anymore and he’d simply bust out in genuine laughter.

"Hm?" Luci mustered her courage as best she could while she turned her back on the rest of the dim-lit hallway and went to join Zak in the room he'd slipped into. "Oh cool!" Her eyes seemed to brighten up as she watched the Knight begin to don the helmet. It was very quick that her smile would start to crack while the Togruta managed to somehow get that thing around his big head. Her left hand went to her lips, fingers extended up together to cover the smile that was beginning to fall apart.

A moment later Luci would be cracking up with him. She swiftly moved her practice saber from her right hand to her left, then shot the open-hand down to her pocket and quickly drew forth her smartpad. A second later the device would flash as she snapped a pic of her would-be Master and saved it to the small device. "Hah! I'm gonna show that to the Grandmaster!" She giggled jokingly and turned the dataphone so Zak could see the screen and the picture she'd just taken of him.

Then the youthful expression would begin to shift as she continued to look around the room to find more abandoned equipment, and eventually let her hand fall to her side and return the smartpad to her pocket. The tip of her tail would slow its movements and begin to rest behind her almost unmoving as she began to take an inquisitive interest in the room. "What happened here anyway?" There was still a cheerful touch to her tone, but she couldn't hide her curiosity or the hint of concern.

"Is this all just left over equipment that was abandoned after the Clone Wars?" She then began to take a few steps around the room as she'd begin to investigate the area with the purple glow of her saber. "Or did something get in here and do that?" She then pointed to the damage in the helmet, a clue that these weren't just items that had simply been left behind.

The snow covered landscape and refreshing crisp clean air were stunning. Yuri spent a great deal of her time surrounded by trash and foul air on Raxus Prime, and this was a refreshing, if not shocking change of scenery. She found it easier to focus on the new environment and her curiosity, than it was trying to worry about how to deal with all the people around. She felt naked and vulnerable, but fortunately no one seemed to be paying her any mind. This was her first time among other jedi in quite a while, and she couldn't feel more out of place. Hopefully a smaller group in a new temple would be easier for her to adapt to, it would be fresh start. At the very least, she couldn't sit around doing nothing forever.

She followed the group queitly, and when they reached the fork, she continued right, staying with Dimetri. The hum of sabers was a bit unnerving, so she opted for a simple flashlight herself.

Mmf…I’mf not fure…Zak’s voice came from the ancient helmet as a muted muffle as he tried to reply.

To be frank, Zak hadn’t thought through putting the helmet on. He saw that it might fit and decided that it would be fun to get on, that was a mistake. Dust caked the interior of the helmet, from the visor to the mouth grill. In addition, these helmets were made to the exact measurements of a Clone Trooper, not a Togruta, and so it was a tight fit even with the broken holes in the top of the helmet for his montrals.

Concern panged in Zak’s chest as he finally paid attention to plastoid fragments pressing into the base of his montrals. This was combined with the pressure against his face from the tight fit of the helmet and dust wafting into his eyes and nose. All of the aforementioned made Zak deeply regret his impromptu joke and also cause a sneeze to build up in him.

The Togruta tried his best to stifle the sneeze until he could get the helmet off. He held his breath while he deactivated his shoot lightsaber and attempted to peel the helmet from his head. He was rewarded by a sharp pain as the broken fragments of plastoid dug up and into the sensitive flesh surrounding the hollow horns. Zak winced at the sensation which broke the seal on his stifled sneeze, it erupted from him.

A-A—ACHOOOOO!

The sound was punctuated by tufts of dust exploding outward from the helmet’s grill, around the base of the helmet, and from the holes in the top of the helmet. Zak audibly sniffles before entering into a chain of sneezes that only caused more dust to fly up into his face and nose.

By the Force.” Zak muttered in his same muffled voice.

Zak’s face and the inside of the helmet was plastered in a filthy combination of snot, spit, and dust. A small well of panic built up inside of him as he began to more frantically tug at the helmet.

Luci?” He called out as muffled as his voice was.

Zak’s hands blindly searched for the younger Jedi as he stumbled around the room, eventually crashing into the ruins of the bunk.

Luci? I can’t get this off! Help?” He called out again.

It was difficult for Lucifrey to hold her composure at the sight of Zak's plight, and she wouldn't be able to resist the urge to burst into laughter once more. "Pfff... HAHAHA!!!" Her jubilant voice bounced off the thick durasteel walls and her tail waved around until after a few more moments she finally managed to pull herself together. With a few light sniffles of joy she brushed her free-hand's wrist across her bright pink cheeks and wiped away her happy tears with her puffy sleeve.

"Ahhh... Haha... Oh." Luci stopped and realized the Togruta actually needed her help. "You really got yourself stuck!" She tried to hold back another laugh, but couldn't help it. At least she was able to keep the rest of her giggles behind closed lips to help him less feel bad about the hilarious predicament. "Alright alright." She chuckled playfully and casually walked over to him with no sense of haste. She then set the activation switch of her practice saber to lock and left it on well away from them as she wedged the handle into a far corner of the upper bunk so they'd have a little light to work with.

"Hold still--" The much shorter Jedi reached up and took hold of the helmet, then if he didn't resist she'd yank him down to bend him over 90-degrees, and slightly a little further than that as she wrapped her left arm up and around the back of the helmet. Her right hand would then grasp somewhere around the front visor so she could get a decent grip. "Pull away on my mark. Ready?" A calm determination then came over her as the frail girl closed her eyes and began to channel the ethereal flow into the muscles and joints throughout both of her arms. Another moment or two would pass as she'd then shift the essence to alter and Enhance her natural strength with the Force.

"Go!" Luci's bright eyes flashed open. She then flexed hard and pulled with all of the limited might she'd been able to muster. It wasn't much, but it was more than she would've had otherwise. The half-Tiefling was nearly growling as she grunted and pulled on the helmet with all of her strength, adjusting the way she tugged at the helmet in reaction to any pain or discomfort Zak might show so as to damage him as little as possible. She didn't want to hurt him, but she also wasn't about to fail her first unofficial mission from her unofficial new Master! She'd then plant her feet on his thigh, throw her heavy head back, and then lean away while pulling on the broken helm with all her might and weight -- which wasn't much. "Grrrr... HOW DID YOU EVEN GET THIS ON?!?!"

Zak could barely hear Luci when she spoke to him, the helmet muffled much of her voice into something barely discernable. However, when Zak felt her grip the lower edge of the helmet, he crouched down, bending at his knees slight and leaned forward to ensure the younger Jedi had an easier time gripping the helmet that was stuck fast around him head. Zak barely heard Luci's instructions but he understood the gist of what the attempt would entail.

As the pair pulled in opposite directs, Zak felt the helmet give slightly, sliding upwards ever so slightly. For half a second Zak got excited, almost sure that between the snot he had thoroughly sprayed within the helmet and the pair of them pulling in opposite directions, that he'd be free. However, much to his dismay, the combined efforts didn't get the helmet off in the first attempt. Zak gave out a pained groan in reply to feeling the helmet settle back into it's original position.

For a brief moment Zak's imagination took hold, he saw himself trapped within the helmet for the rest of his life! He wondered if he would have to carve a mouth hole for him to eat and drink from or if he'd just rely on the Force for sustenance. This thoughts caused Zak to feel a wave of anxiety wash over him. He didn't want to be known as the bucket head Jedi Knight!

It was then that his own intrusive thoughts were cut short by Luci's feet suddenly planting themselves on his thighs. Zak immediately caught the Tiefling's idea and leaned back against and away from her while ensuring his feet were planted firmly on the ground. Zak wasn't sure how it happened but after a handful of agonizingly slow seconds, the helmet slid off with a satisfyingly wet SCH-LUP. For a brief moment Zak hung in the air, freed from the claustrophobic confines of the clone helmet and then gravity kicked in!

"Wooho-" Zak called a brief moment before his body continued backwards with the momentum of his own struggle against his confine. "OH KRIFF!" He called out, his elation turning in to surprise as he collapsed backwards onto the floor.

Zak laid there perfectly still for a moment before he left his arm up at the elbow, a single finger pointed up towards the ceiling as he addressed Luci.

"We tell no one about this yeah?" He asked in a flat tone. "In fact, delete those photos..." He continued. "...except for the one with me in the cool pose...keep that one." He instructed after a short pause.

Then Zak would sit up to look at Luci, unaware that his face was covered in dust, debris, and drying snot. He smiled at Luci warmly now that he was freed and stood to his feet.

"Let's keep exploring!" He exclaimed excitedly. "What were you asking me earlier?"

"AH!" Luci yelped as she fell back through the air.. Her grip on the helmet slipped, sending it across the room where it hit a hollow metal surface, then bounced to the ground. At the same time there was a soft cushiony poof as Lucifrey plopped down in her thick coat with a breathless, "--oof--!"

The girl's hands rested at the backs of her horns to protect them from getting chipped or cracked on the hard floor. Thankfully the fluffy hood softened most of the impact, and a moment later she opened her eyes to the creaking of an old locker swinging open on the wall behind her. A glint of purple light caught her attention, drawing her inverted gaze to a collection of small silver bracelets on one of the shelves. Zak's comments got another laugh out of Luci before she finally hopped up to her feet and patted her hand across her clothes to brush herself off.

"Well I was pointing out the damage in the helmet." Her tone became slightly more calm and curious again as her index pointed at the damaged helmet that had just been thrown to the floor. She then turned her attention to the locker and began to approach it. "That's a Clone Wars era Trooper helmet, right? It doesn't seem like that could've been done from just being dropped on the ground while people ran away, and it probably wasn't the cold either..." The edge of Luci's lips pushed to the side, her left hand opened outward toward her practice saber, where she once again directed the flow of the Force to Pull her saber through the air and back into her grip once more. She then held it up and away from her head again to cast its dim glow into the locker.

"Oh! Look!" The half-Annfyn's expressive eyes widened and the tips of her pointy ears flicked up then back down as she reached in and plucked out one of the wristlinks. "I wonder if any of these still work." She tapped what she was pretty sure was the button to turn the device on before she tossed the small thing up through the dim light and hopped Zak was paying enough attention to catch it. "Here." Then as it began to sail through the air she would already be turned around to take another one from the remaining set. She then activated the next wrist comm as she held it in one hand, then pulled it toward her lips and began to speak softly into its tiny mic.

"Heyy~ Does this thing work?!"

Any other wristlinks that were scattered throughout the place and still activated would then emit Lucifrey's bright voice, nearly surprising herself as she heard it echo down the narrow hall and in Zak's hand. "Oh!" She released the transmit button and gave out a nervous chuckle as she turned to the Togruta. "Haha... Guess so!"

As the young Mirialan would search through the arms room he found many different things he could have picked up but ultimately none of them served him any purpose. They were all offensive weapons, and they were meant to destroy. Dimetri wasn't one to stand behind that purpose. Though there many other things worth looking at. Taking his gander at the old clone armor, he would check to see if it all could fit him, more so the bracers and boots.

After grabbing a set of boots and slipping them on, he felt a comfortable fit, and the same for when he place the shin guards on over them. Now his legs were well protected. The white armor complimenting his black pants. The Mirialan teen took a few steps around and just smiled. Looking to his Jedi allies with him,

"What do you think? Badass right?"

A gentle laugh came out, and he would grab a set of bracers and get ready to put them on his own forearms. As he put one on his left arm, it began to blink with a green light. After pressing it once, he could hear what sounded like Lucifrey on the other side. Must have been the comms link between the soldiers. Interesting..

"That'll be a Yavin Prime sized 10-4. Heheh Y'all hear me on the other side?"

Waiting for their response, he would place the other bracer on his other arm and chuckle as he found some comfort in knowing they could talk to each other when they were seperated. Helps a lot in the long run. As he finished doing what he would, and making sure the others were ready he began to head out the room and down the hall further. His breath creating a foggy cloud in front of him with the yellow light from his blade bringing the hall to sight. The flashlight behind him offering a more spotlight style vision thanks to Yuri.

As they continued down the path a Vulptex would run out from a room a begin further down the hall. They must have spooked it off. A beautiful animal, though the sudden movement gave a slight jump to the Mirialan as he wasn't expecting it.

Zak busied himself by looking at some old clone armor while Luci continued to search the room. He had picked up some clone armor and was examining the condition of various pieces. The Togruta began ti brush off countless decades worth of grime from the armor as he inspected them. This caused Zak to exhale sharply through his nose to avoid inhaling the small cloud of dust that billowed up from his efforts.

When he heard Luci call out to him, he paused his cleaning to face the younger Jedi. Zak listened to her observations while he idly began fixing some of the cleaned armor to his arms and shoulders. Zak had to admit, she has a point. Something had to have happened here to cause clones to just abandon their armor like this and the damaged helmet was strange. Zak continued to ponder what Luci had pointed out as he emptied dust from a pair of plastoid boots he has found and slipped his feet into. The Togruta Knight would finish affixing the shin and knee guards before actually addressing the younger Jedi.

You’re right Luci, something had to have happened here.” He replied pensively. “What that was, we might not know.” He continued as he crouched to inspect the helmet he had just peeled off his head. “It could have been anything but probably was a CIS attack.” Zak concluded as he grasped the helmet to take a closer look while rising back to his feet.

While Zak said it could have been a droid attack, he knew better. The breaks in the helmet was no blaster damage, this was a break from piercing or blunt trauma applied at two points at the same time. Zak gazed into the pair of holes while he tried to imagine the creature that caused this level of destruction, a shiver ran down his spine as he did.

Zak’s mind was drawn from his active imagination as Luci called out to him once more. She tossed him a wrist comm system, which the Togruta Knight immediately caught and fixed to one of the white plastoid wrist guards. He smirked as Luci tested her communication device and her voice came over the comm, a little garbled at first but quickly clearing up.

Well would you look at that!” He exclaimed with a small chuckle.

Just then, Dimetri’s voice would reply to Luci, something that causes Zak’s smirk to spread into a full blown smile. He was excited to hear the young man’s voice and eager to hear what the other team had uncovered.

Dimetri, it’s good to hear your voice!” Zak exclaimed in an excited tone. “What all have you found on your side?” He asked the young Padawan. “We’ve found a lot of Clone Armor here, some of it is badly damage.” He reported to the young man.

"Ahh.. Maybe that's what it was." The young Padawan didn't want to doubt Zak, but something felt off to Luci. She decided to let it rest for now, taking a moment to fasten the silver commwrist bracelet to her wrist before something else toward the bottom of the locker then caught her attention. The short half-Tiefling bent her knees and lowered herself enough to reach down and pluck up a pale leather utility belt with most of its components still in place. "Huhh!" Luci exclaimed with a mix of excitement and awe as she brought the accessory into the light purple glow of her saber.

"An old Jedi utility belt! And it even has a bunch of the stuff still with it!" The frost-stricken belt barely fit around the lithe girl's thin hips, but after tugging at the fastener enough she finally managed to get it snug along the top of her skirt. "Hm hm! How does it look?" She waited for a pause in the other Jedi's conversation before she chimed in with a perky tone. A smug smirk was across the girl's lips as she shifted her hips to the side and adjusted her stance to take on a more effeminate version of Zak's earlier heroic pose.

Luci then whipped her saber to the right and drew the glowrod from her utility belt in her left hand so that it was out in front of her like a Shoto -- had it been a lightsaber. The girl held the dual-wielding battle stance for a moment with a cheeky grin, but then she activated the small device, and the light from it flooded enough of the room to reveal a beady pair of eyes at the jarred door. Luci's voice would inhale sharply as her bright eyes widened toward the young fox-like creature that was covered in crystalline bristles.

"Zak! Look!" The blue-horned girl pointed toward the door with the yellow light of her newfound glowrod. The pointy tips of her ears popped up while her thin tail began to wag from side to side. "It's one of those crystal foxes from Crait!" It was then that Luci noticed her enthusiasm had startled the small creature, and it swiftly began to run away with the soft jingle of its fur.

"Ahh, wait! Sorry!" The jubilant Padawan would then begin to dash into the hall with her practice saber in a reverse-grip behind her and the glowrod held out horizontally out in front of her as though she was still dual-wielding lightsabers. At least she was practicing getting the form down. "Come on! I bet there's more around here!" She called back to Zak as she would continue to follow the young creature deeper down the hallway.

With a bit of relief he heard a response come from his commlink in the bracer, the voice was Zak's this time. What a blessing it was to hear them again. The Togruta had asked what the Padawan found over on the other side of the building. To be honest there wasn't much other than clone armor. It was a good find but not exactly stellar.

"Just some arms room with too many blaster that probably don't work and a few sets of clone era armor. What about y'all? Anything awesome?"

As he waited for their reply he came across a door directly in front of him. It was mostly closed, with a small crack in it. Must have shorted out a while back and not closed all the way. The glow of his yellow saber would bring light to what looked to be scratch marks at the edge of the door and door frame. Might explain why it doesn't work anymore. A slight worry grew inside the Mirialan as he knew he had to face whatever was on the other side of this door.

"Hey guys.. I came across something that might be dangerous. Keep an eye out over there. I'll keep in touch as much as I can, Dimetri out."

Then turning to his accomplices he would nod before using the force to open the door. It was old and rustic, nothing that their engineers couldn't fix up luckily. As he came in he found tracks. Large footprints, looked almost sasquatch in nature. Not many creatures like that live in the cold. The one thing that popped into his mind was a Wampa. They were native to the cold planet Hoth, but someone could have unleashed one or more here back in the day.

Before anyone in the group could properly assess what it was, there was a roar coming from further down the corridor.

"Here we go.."

Yuri followed along quietly, imagination wandering as her flashlight shined over the dusty old relics. Old timey images of the Clone Wars played in her head, and she imagined what this place may have looked like in its heyday; clones, bred for war, going about their daily tasks or enjoying downtime, exchanging jokes and playing cards for cigarettes. The garbled ping of an old comlink returned her to the present.

The Jedi's voices came through clear enough on the scavenged equipment, and she strapped a looted comlink bracer to her own arm while she listened. If they got separated, having the ability to radio one another could turn into an important lifeline. Back on Raxus Prime, a salvage team's comms could be the difference between life and death. The facility seemed safe enough, but she knew all it could take was one faulty blast door to leave one of them trapped or crippled for life. Broken and decayed old places like this didn't like giving up their treasures easily. Still, it is a constant in life that where there is treasure, looters will come. For all those valuable relics to still be collecting dust after this long, this place must be a special kind of miserly.

"You'd think someone would have looted this place by now," Yuri thought out loud. Her voice was gravely and dry. "Hard to imagine an entire military outpost going untouched for over a century. The type of scavengers I know would have found this place and picked it clean a long time ago." She thought to herself as they walked, looking for traces left behind of anyone who may have found this place in the past.

"If people came to this place before, then every last one of them died. That armory alone is worth enough to set you up for life, it's not the type of thing you just leave behind. But if we really are the first people to set foot here since the Clone Wars, then a whole lotta effort went into making sure this place was never found. Either that, or we're the luckiest bastards in the galaxy." She finished her thought as they came to battered door. Luckiest bastards, they were not.

"Well, looks like we can scratch off that last possibility." Then came the roar, echoing down the frigid black halls and along their spines. Death lurked in this place, stalking the labyrinth, haunting the darkness among them. Soon, it would smell them, hear them, taste the sweat of their flesh on the air, and it would come. A nest for monsters, a crypt for fools. Already too deep had they waded into the abyss. The workers had been left behind, reasonably so in such a desolate place, without a thought for protection, in the hunting grounds of their doom. How many bones lie buried beneath the snow after 150 years, over which the youthful expedition had so thoughtlessly and eagerly tread? The souls of the dead had looked on in helpless sorrow as light hearts and hopeful eyes walked blindly through their graves and entered the mausoleum. The jedi believed they had come to build a temple. No. They had come to die.
