For as long as it had stood, Kala'uun had served as the business hub for the entire planet of Ryloth. Many a space pilot could find themselves in the capital city during their treks across the Outer Rim, stopping on the planet to have a few drinks and perhaps mingle with the natives, the Twi'leks. The upper layers of the spaceport mountain held a complex collection of shops and businesses, and one could be forgiven for overlooking the small, dingy repair shop that was sandwiched in the rock between a cantina and a guns dealer - not exactly the best match.

If one were to go inside the repair shop, its multi-colored lights glowing dimly on the sign at the entrance, one would find an assortment of various droid and ship parts cluttering the inside of the store, smothered by the smell of fuel. Inside the dimly lit shop, a female Twi'lek, her pink skin standing out in contrast against the darkness, could be found behind a desk, casually swiping over a holopad and tapping every so often to input some kind of information.

Sighing, Sieen plopped the holopad wistfully down on the counter and held her face in her hands for a few seconds, closing her eyes against the headache that was starting to creep up. Just to break even with the rent they were charging her for this building, she was going to need to fix more than a few more astromech droids.

"Da jeeba da baska," she said in Twi'leki. "This is not good."

Xath walked into the repair shop after parking his ship nearby. Those pirates...always getting in his way. Well, his lightsaber had gotten in the way of the blood pumping to their heads.
If he had time, he would've gone to a better place, somewhere that wasn't a hole in the wall, but hell, who was he to judge? His job was blood, gore, mayhem, and pain.

He looked around as the door closed behind him, spotting the Twi'lek. He ignored her, trying to take in his surroundings, see if this place could do the job. Looks like she was more into astromech droids, not starfighters. Still, though, it was worth a shot.
He cleared his throat to make his raspy voice at least slightly more audible and understandable, not even knowing if she could speak the same language.

"My Tie--" He started coughing. "My Tie needs repairs. I can pay you whatever measly sum you want, but it won't fly without repairs and I don't even know what the hell is wrong with it. Fix it, and..." He coughed again. "Fix it and you'll get what you deserve."
He waited for her response, hoping against hope she didn't only speak Twi'leki or something.

Sieen straightened up at the counter when she saw the next customer walk in. His attire was dark, a combination of armor and robes, and she was surprised to see the lightsaber hanging from his belt. She had always heard about Force users walking around doing business at times in Kala'uun, but she had never met one before. He seemed to pay her no mind initially, and the dark sight of him was somewhat intimidating, so she stayed quiet until he addressed her first.

His voice was somewhat raspy and he coughed a couple of times while speaking, but she knew enough to make out that he needed his TIE fixed. Again, she was surprised. TIEs hadn't been used for quite some time, since the fall of the Empire long ago, but nothing was too much of a surprise in this galaxy anymore.

"I will see what I can do," she replied in his native Basic, though an accent coated her words. She hurried to the back and grabbed the tool box she typically used for fighter repairs. "Your ship is parked in the starport?"

Xath hesitated; his response would seal the deal. Ahh, hell...he needed it fixed anyways. At least she spoke basic. "Yes..." He coughed; it was starting to get annoying. "I can fly it over her though, if you need whatever tools you may have present."

He had been surprised she could understand him, let alone know enough about Ties to be confident enough to fix one. A ship was a ship, however. Fix one, you could most likely fix another. He notice her glance at his saber and realized how much of an intimidating presence he might be. Well, he didn't want any...unnecessary attention, or for her to think she needed to notify someone.

He turned as if to look around the shop and deftly slipped his saber into his robes, cursing himself for being foolish enough to leave them in such a noticeable position.
He turned back to her; "As to payment, what will you need?"

Sieen was relieved when she saw him put away the lightsaber within the folds of his robes. At least that meant he did not intend any harm - for the moment.

She gestured with an arm out in front of her before quickly dropping it at her side and picking up the tool box. “I’ll follow you to your ship.”

Xath agreed immediately and was out of the shop almost as quickly as he was in. He needed to stay in the same place for the least amount of time as possible. Nevertheless, he walked slowly as he led the Twi'lek down the road towards the starport. He glanced around, making sure no one was watching him or staring at him creepily. He hated people who wouldn't stop watching him; made him want to grab a saber and plunge it into their chests.

He gestured for the Twi to follow as the made it to the starport after a bit. "There it is," He announced; "My pride and joy, my home, my weapon, whatever else you want to call it. Thing is, it won't fly, and that's a big no no for me." He coughed and rasped as he spoke. "I let you fix the ship, then I let you fix the price."

The landscape of Kala’uun was made of a series of twists and turns through the inside of the mountain that led up towards the starport. Sieen followed behind this man - she suspected he possibly followed the dark side of whatever power he wielded, because of his dark clothing that somehow amplified the dark presence surrounding him - and chose to stay quiet until they arrived at his parked TIE.

He was a paying customer, and she suspected he would pay good, as those blessed with such rare powers typically never hurt for credits. So she didn’t care what he did when he wasn’t parking in Kala’uun.

She dropped the tool box at her feet and moved closer towards the ship, inspecting its detailed exterior. She moved under it and popped the engine compartment found underneath the cockpit, looking up as her arms moved up to inspect the innards of the fighter.

“So what brings you to Kala’uun?” she wondered aloud as she worked.

Xath hesitated, not necessarily sure what to say. He'd never really carried on a conversation with anyone, so he'd never been asked such a question.

"What brings me here?" He repeated, shrugging. "I had a run in with some baddies on Nar Shaadaa, thought I should get out of there. They followed me and we exchanged fire. Needless to say, their ships look a lot worse than mine does." He laughed at his own morbid joke, noting that the Twi was trying to remain...what was it...impersonal? Detached? Of course. He was a paying customer; what else was there to do?
dki
He turned to answer her question with his own. "How's business, aside from having to fix a random starfighter here and there?"

Sieen was quite for a moment while she worked, pondering on whether she should answer his question. Inside the ship, she could see a blaster hole where a laser bolt had obviously pierced the hull; further in, a cable appeared to have snapped in two from the hit, and after a few minutes she could understand what had happened.

After a moment, she sighed. "This is a pretty simple fix - it looks like an engine compartment took a hit from those 'baddies' you were talking about," she said as she looked at him. "I can fix this with the magna torch and a special adhesive that we spray on the outside hull which will harden over time and form a patch."

"And as far as business... well, I'm quite sure I'm going to close it down. It hasn't been good here, and...I'm ready to experience other things in this galaxy."

She swept her lekku fully over her shoulders and bent down to retrieve the items from the tool box, aware that the angle allowed him to see all there was to see, and she wasn't embarrassed. Retrieving the torch and the spray adhesive from the box, she began to work again.

Xath watched her analyze the ship's damage, thinking of what must be running through her head as she explored the blaster bolts that decorated his Tie beautifully. "Well," he replied, "It wasn't quite simple enough for me to fix." He wondered why she sarcastically quoted "baddies," but ignored the comment.

He winced as she told him the state of her business; though by no means was he a good man, he still was...sympathetic? He turned away as she bent over; this woman had sass. He chuckled to himself and continued to watch from a distance.

In a few minutes, his ship was fully repaired, and he was on his way. Both were happy; she had the money, hopefully to keep her shop in business...and he had, well, he had a functioning ship.
