Kril’dor. A gas giant in the mid-rim and, most importantly, a source of Tibanna. The gas mined there was still a valuable commodity throughout the galaxy. Despite the Sith’s weakened position, sympathisers and devotees could still be found. One such individual was the son of the owner of a Tibanna mining facility on Kril’dor. He was interested in cooperating with the Sith, but he had to gain control of the facility from his father first. His father needed to be taken out of the picture.
A corporate get together had been planned and those running the facility had hired a cruise liner for it. The conspirator’s father would be there. The ship’s pilot had plotted a course that took it within fairly close proximity of a small moon. This presented an opportunity…
The instructions Thel had been given where clear: make sure the ship suffers an unfortunate “accident”, killing all those on board. It was vital to ensure that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the ship’s impending accident, to prevent there being any delays in the facility passing from father to son.
Thel had asked that he be allowed to bring someone to help, and he had found someone. Someone he had met before. Nico Vandron. Vandron could be difficult, but he seemed competent. The two Sith had been supplied with invitations to the gathering. They were both given false identities, presenting them as representatives of a fictitious company.
Thel stood at the bar, in the main hall. He had asked Vandron to meet him later in the evening. The room was bustling with activity. A large dance floor in the middle of the room was filled with people and the tables surrounding the dance floor were occupied by people carousing. Thel had chosen to wear his black robes, cloak and leather boots. He did look somewhat out of place, but the party goers were enjoying themselves too much to take any notice. He could have chosen to wear a trendier outfit, but there was part of him that wanted to get a reaction out of Vandron. When they previously met, Vandron had taken to calling him “Vamps”. He didn’t see the harm in gently poking fun at that. His lightsaber remained concealed by the cloak.
