It had been many hours since the rescue/escape of the Dark lord of the sith, Darth Tempress, who, while escaping on her own by the time she was found by inquisitor "Xander", had a much easier getting out of the planet on her ship. Truth be told, the timing of everything had been perfect, too perfect...Either it was the will of the force or someone had decided to set it up...Someone she didn't know about. The thought of that being a possibility made the inquisitor far too paranoid, so she asked the Dark Lord if it was fine to not stop until they reached a completely safe planet.

Eventually, the two of them would reach Rothana, a planet outside of ISC space and close enough to Hutt space to make their escape towards it in case it came to it. It was the best option they had in the short run. It was also, of course, only the two of them, whoever had been causing trouble outside she did not know, but the inquisitor would look into it. For now, she simply took the necessary precautions after landing on the ice covered planet: First she made sure everything was in order inside the ship, then she went out of the ship in order to make sure the ship had not been tracked or bugged. They needed privacy in order to discuss their next move, that was the way of the inquisition.

"My lord, the ship seems to be secure and we appear to not be followed or tracked" She would state as she went back into the ship, heading to the small medbay that was in it and where she had treated the wounds of the dark lord, a small bow of respect being given to the dark lord of the sith as it was customary "It is safe to discuss our next move, where you would want to go, whatever you require of me, my lord."

Tempest was still recovering from her seamless flight from ISC custody. While her escape had gone without much difficulty or opposition, the Dark Lord still reeled from the injuries she suffered at the hands of the President, cracked ribs aching with every inhale she took. There was no coincidence why - when presented with the choice - she opted to travel with a former Inquisitor. The almost fanatical loyalty of their Order made ‘Xander’ the safest option when the Dark Lord was more vulnerable than she would’ve liked to be.

Even still, her mind hadn’t left the prison back on Manaan. Though she would never voice it aloud, the half-Annfyn knew that the lapse in security was no coincidence. Perhaps President Thorne didn’t want her to escape from custody.. But neither did he make any attempt to prevent it. The question swirled within the deepest recesses of her mind, and it was unlikely to leave her anytime soon. It filled her with a sense of unease that few things were quite able to invoke.

By the time ‘Xander’ returned to the medbay, Tempest was already sitting up in a chair - receiving some attention from a medical droid. Bacta patches and wrapping was applied to her ribcage to ease the pain and damage. She wouldn’t find comfort in a fully-submerged Bacta tank until she was safe within her own space.

Her Amber gaze flicked up to regard the Inquisitor - noting the respectful bow that accompanied her words. The Dark Lord nodded ever-so-slightly in return, pleased that they were completely alone on Rothana. “Your assistance on Manaan will not be forgotten,” She said after a long moment, conviction to her words that even the Inquisitor would feel. “Our numbers are scattered - and there are many who will see my capture as weakness. Who will seek to elevate themselves in my place.” She would need to act quickly to ensure that any additional dissent was put down before it could fracture what remained of the Sith.

She paused for a moment, staring into the mask that the Inquisitor wore. “Tell me who you are.” The Darth said finally. Her mind had already gone to work on determining their next steps - but she would dispel any remaining mystery between the two of them, before she made a final decision.

A small nod would be given in response to the gratitude expressed by the dark lord, it was something the inquisitor didn't find necessary, for it was the duty of their order. Inquisitors were meant to risk their lives for the dark lord, no matter who they were, had it not been her, it would've been someone else "It was but my duty, but I appreciate it, my lord." but she would still acknowledge it and accept the words of gratitude, least she could do.

The inquisitor straightened a little bit as Darth Tempest talked about the possibility of other sith taking their chances to overthrow her, many could try, true, but the inquisitor simply shook her head "Even in our reduced state, even after the culling done by the empire and the separation of the ones that wouldn't consider themselves sith...This order is filled with nothing but lambs that think themselves wolves." the inquisitor flatly stated, there were few worthy sith in the galaxy after the betrayal, that much was clear.

Arms behind her back as she spoke, her eyes would focus on the dark lord from behind the dark helmet "Anyone within the order may try, and they will fail, only serving as a chance for you to consolidate your power once more...And we, the inquisition, will be at your disposition to deal with them and the order itself as you see fit." The inquisitor explained, that is what they were, after all: The arm of dark lords, emperors and empresses, judges within the order that deal with other sith, that hadn't changed.

It would take a few seconds for the inquisitor to process the request that was giving her identity to her. It was a matter of time before it came down to this and Anai couldn't help but take those seconds to wonder how Vahl would react to it, the only seconds she would spare before placing herself in one knee and taking off her helmet. The Dark lord would immediately notice the familiar face of an old friend, who was now bowing to her on one knee, the expression of her face stoic and resolute, making clear that she was still playing the role of an inquisitor "My lord."

Tempest paused for a moment, considering everything that Xander had to say. In truth, the Dark Lord held much the same view of the remaining sith - knowing full-well that only a fraction of them had the potential to be true Sith. It was a weakness that had plagued the Order long before the split with the Empire, and one that she had hoped to meticulously and silently quell from within. Much had changed in recent weeks - but that simple truth had not. "Even the sheep have uses." Perhaps they wouldn't meet their true potential. But they would serve.

She took in a breath. “As before, the Inquisition will be my eyes and ears throughout the Order. Any Champion or Lord who begins to move out of line - any who attempts to grasp for power within our ranks out of line? Will be brought to my attention.” The Inquisition had the benefit of anonymity amongst the others. They could easily blend and scheme with other Sith, prepared to report the information back to the Dark Lord.

When the Inquisitor dropped down to one knee, Tempest rose up from medbay seating - standing a few steps in front of Anai. She watched with wide eyes as the face of ‘Xander’ was revealed to be that of Anai - the very same friend that had followed her since their time as Acolytes. Memories of that first day on that Party-Bus flashed through her mind, and the friendship that had followed them through the years. The half-Annfyn had only guessed where her friend had ended up amidst the confusion and chaos of the split, and it was only in that moment she realized the woman had been by her side the entire time.

There was a few moments of silence, as Tempest took in the revelation. As it passed, her posture straightened once more. “Rise, Inquisitor.” She finally said. Once Anai was back on her feet, the Dark Lord took a single step forward - amber eyes resting firmly on the Kaleesh. “You have been a friend and sister to me since our earliest days.” She said, reaching forward to plant a hand on the Kaleesh’s shoulder. “You have served me loyally. You have served me faithfully. And I am pleased to have you still by my side.”

“The Inquisition has lost manpower and resources because of the split. I am granting you the task of rebuilding them from the ashes - securing a home base for their operations, gathering intelligence and beginning recruitment once more. You are the only one I can trust with this task,”
She tilted her head up. “And when it is finished, you will lead them.”

“Serve me well - as you already have - and you will be the next Grand Inquisitor.”

Anai stared back at Vahliri as she was found surprised for the first time since she had been rescued from the prison...It was the expected reaction, to be honest. After all, who would expect one of their closest friends to have a double life and still help you while having that double life? It probably was a huge relief for Vahliri to know that she was the one to watch her back, especially given how she had hidden away for a while now whenever she was not acting as an inquisitor.

The power dynamic between them had changed, and, while she was happy about it because she always feared the possibility of them coming to blows because of the Empress' commands, it also meant that even in a moment like this they had to act the part: Vahl straightened up and started talking once more while Anai rose up as she had been instructed.

However, even the inquisitor couldn't help but put her own hand on top of Vahl's for a moment, giving her a warm smile as the words she uttered truly touched her, only Vahl was able of make the Kaleesh drop the inquisitor facade so fast, the bond between them being mutual "And I am glad to have been there every step of the way" She would say, still smiling before letting it fade away, now listening to what Vahl had to say.

Vahl, no, the dark lord, was giving her a very important mission: The inquisition was in tatters: leaderless, directionless, one of their temples was not quite accessible and their numbers had been dwindled and so, Darth Tempest herself was telling her to do something about it...With the reward of leading them after her efforts, of course. Her eyes would look at Vahl, both a sense of duty and ambition would be found within the glare that she would give the dark lord "It'll be done, my lord."
