Bel didn't know where he belonged. He tried being a Sith...he was a terrible Sith. Sure, he could use the Dark Side- but anyone could. The fact that using that aspect of the Force didn't feel right to him also didn't help. So, what was Bel good at? Going turncoat, apparently. Black Sun gave him lots of opportunity to grow, but with the Empire's new decree, Bel saw the crime syndicate as a way out. Of course, the ISB would probably be on his case... Even as a criminal, Bel felt out of place. Black Sun didn't know that Bel used to work as an Agent with the prime objective of controlling the Syndicate at the Empire's will.

Maybe Bel didn't like lying.

Whether it was to himself or to others, it just ate away at him like a tumor. Bel lied to his friends in Black Sun, he lied to the ISB, he lied to everyone. Bel didn't see a way out either. Was there more to being an Imperial? What was the point of this anyway? Bel wasn't one for philosophy, but this galaxy had to have some sort of purpose for him, right? Was it weird the he wanted Cheriss Ktrame to hide away with him? The woman stole his heart and then disappeared before he could tell her he loved her.

The problem was finding a place to belong. The Nightbrothers didn't want him back. Hell, the Empire didn't really seem to care about him going AWOL. Black Sun, on the other hand, they seemed to see something in the Zabrak that he didn't. But what if they found out about him being a double agent? What if Bel could explain himself before they found out? It wasn't like he still worked for the Empire anyway. Somehow, for whatever reason, Bel felt at home when he was scheming in the upper levels of the Lonely Horde casino. There was just something about being accepted into the crime family that intrigued him to no end.

Bel needed family. Being alone killed him. Black Sun was his new family- and he wasn't going to let them down.

Never again.
