Light of the Force

The Light of the Force serves as the Jedi Flagship and mobile training temple of the New Jedi Order. The vessel was transferred to the Jedi by former acting Chief of State Jhon Cordatus, a member of the Jedi High Council, following a Sith attack that had destroyed the vessel’s predecessor, the Will of the Force.

Originally destined for the system Triton, the Light of the Force fell under attack by the Sith and Mandalorian siege of the core. Under the command of Jedi Master Juno Armstrong the vessel was badly damaged and could not arrive at its predetermined destination. With quick thinking and wit, the Jedi Flagship settled in orbit above the broken world of Anoth where it had first underwent trials.

Having sat in dead orbit for several years, the Light of the Force evaded enemy detection, serving as a safe haven from Bounty and Sith hunters while the Jedi remained in exile and secrecy. The Light of the Force survived on a skeleton crew and through organized convoys, the Jedi were able to continuously and cautiously restock on supplies.

The losses of the Jedi Temples in the core, the Light of the Force also carried the remnant of the Jedi Archives and important relics that were evacuated from the Temples before the fall of the core at the hands of the Sith Imperium. Defense-wise, compared to the former Alliance’s standard Heroic-class Star Destroyer, the Light of the Force is equipped with quadruple-redundant shielding system, upgraded hyperdrive and a greater starfighter capacity in exchange for the prefabricated base, some crew quarters, and troop assembly areas.

In addition, the ventral docking bay had been completely filled in, instead making for a grand series of meditative chambers, briefing rooms, Jedi quarters and trial courses – all the facilities required for a fully fledged academy, with the advantages of mobility and a strong defense.

The Light of the Force is accompanied by Operation Tailwind, a security convoy lead by Master Juno Armstrong. The convoy consists of the mobile training unit and base, the Doaba, as well as two dozen former Alliance Rogue-class fighters on rotating patrols. The Light of the Force garrison base was stripped and refitted to hold the 175 inactive Rogue-class fighters. Two dozen fighters are actively on patrol at the Light of the Force and Anoth and two dozen fighters patrol actively at Arbra. Jedi and trusted associates will adhere to the security measures when entering and approaching the Jedi Temple; defiance to security protocol will be met with appropriate discipline, and if needed, force.
