  • Letiak sat on the cold, hard curb on the side of the busy pathway, the heavy rain pouring down from the heavens above. Every drop was again in his mind; every drop was a drop closer to him drowning in his own thoughts.

In his hand he held a metal bottle, marked with some Basic that he wasn't bothering to read - he was too tired to undertake such an arduous task… He let his arms droop and his head hang. All across the galaxy, battles were raging between galactic superpowers and he felt powerless to do anything, so he fell back to what he knew best: Booze.

In the bar that he had perched himself outside of there were screams of laughter, the groans of either those who've seemingly drunk too much or an alien, and the slow and steady chime of the speaker system, adding a much needed ambiance to his dreary life.

Well, how much worse can it be inside than outside?

With that thought in mind, he painfully rose to his feet, his back aching from slouching on the side of the street for so long, and groggily made his way into the bar.

  • Death Disabled, Open to anyone, just gonna have a drink and chat to finish off the TL

Herrith had gone off the radar for a while. Good she did. Plenty of credits for a happy bit, at least till she felt like doing some more questionable 'good' for the galaxy. Not like the galaxy ever did something good for her. Of course, that was everyone's complaint nowadays. How 'absolutely terrible' the galaxy is. Pfft. She'd had some fun. That's all that counted, right? Smuggled here and there, shot a couple things, even screwed around here and there. The woman wondered exactly what her friends were up to. Fighting each other? Fighting the Legion? Force knew.

And what of her desire to get revenge? Guess it cooled off as soon as the Cartel shattered like the fragile glass it was. So she was at a bit of a dilemma, it seemed. Nothing good to do, nothing to do at all for that matter.

She had no purpose anymore.

All the people who'd taken her along on their adventures, everything they'd said, done, and otherwise...

She'd been left behind by a caravan of cheer and purpose.

So there was only one thing left to do, Herrith supposed.

Go back to the old ways, drink herself to the point where she'd do something regretful, and keep on living till the next adventure swept her up.

If only it were that easy.

The Zeltron sat at a small table in the bar, pale and distant and faded. If only the people who needed her not months ago still needed her now. Going back to doing what she was doing, petty crime and otherwise, was difficult. She missed the rush of something that really mattered. So the one thing she said was:
"Get me a bottle of the strongest stuff you've got. I'm looking to lose my mind tonight."

Oh how Jicelli questioned the purpose of her depressive journey...

She'd walk rather gloomily through the rain, feeling lonely in the big world again. Sure, the Protectorate had helped her and all, but at some point she just needed to take a break from things. The galaxy was in a state of escalation and large change, and surely had no place for the hopes she had. So she just decided to move along with the flow. Whatever that was...

She'd come across a bar, staring at it for a moment as she stands outside in the rain. Soon enough she found herself smiling, recalling how she met her Protectorate friend and mentor. It was a pleasant thought until she remembered how he just disappeared. Maybe that's the sad thought that provoked her to enter the place. Wouldn't be her first mistake in life, so why not?

Once inside she'd find herself straight to the bar and plop down at a table by her lonesome. Well, alone besides the passed out drunkard across from her. She was a very blue person in a very blue and relatively formal attire, and was certainly not a confident person. With a few quick looks around she'd spot a few figures that took her attention, for better or worse, though a certain pink individual would catch her eye. They seemed familiar, very familiar the more she thought about. Though...She couldn't pinpoint a name.

As Letiak stumbled into the bar, he could already see that it wasn't that busy; clumps of drunken aliens stood and sat around the small bar. He scanned the crowd, his bounty hunting mindset kicking in, looking for any danger. It didn't seem so at first, until... Yes! A Zeltron! How could he have missed the bright pink alien? He'd worked with her a couple of times before... He thought. And... Who was that walking toward them, wearing er... formal attire? In this dump?

Oh well.

He strolled over to where the two were standing and took an over exaggerated bow.

Herrith shut her eyes for a brief moment, trying to block out the world for as long as possible, and reopened them to find a familiar blue-skinned woman sitting in a booth across from a drunkard who had been alone a moment ago. Despite being descrete about staring at the Zeltron, she was pretty obvious. Pantoran. Jice?

Yes, of course. Herrith waved over the woman before a green-skinned Twi'lek bowed in an exaggeration of formality at her table. Oh, this guy. Of course. How could she forget the living wreck of a bounty hunter? She gestured them both to sit before ordering another drink.

Maybe there was one more purpose, after all. One last...talk.

The gesture was the only thing she needed to be given in order to leave the table. Though she was quite hesitant in doing so for whatever the reason. Maybe she was nervous? Maybe she was scared? She didn't rightly know. She certainly hoped she wasn't blushing-- Her lack of confidence was already clear and she knew it. She didn't need to look even more like a child.

As she came to the Zeltron's table, she became more nervous at the stranger that arrived. The display of a greeting seemed a bit too much in her opinion, and thus drove her curiosity further. Jicelli sat down at the table she was invited too, adjusting her messenger bag into her lap and lightly tapping it with a hand. It seemed impossible to calm down and relax her mind-- She felt as if she was negotiating something. Maybe whether or not she'd be alone in the galaxy.

The most she could manage was a warm smile and a quick wave of a hand to the both of them, and then following up with a quick greeting. The latter being directed to the Twi'Lek.

"Hello, again uh...Pinky? Oh, and nice to meet you, whoever you are."

As Letiak sat down at the splintered table, he took another look at this new pe won in his life. Whoever they were, they said quite a formal greeting to which he replied "Er, yes. I'm Night-- No, I'm Letiak. Those days are behind me. Anyway, uh. Whadda ya want to drink? I'm buying."

"Hello, again uh...Pinky? Oh, and nice to meet you, whoever you are."

Pinky. The title she despised most, the one that is always first said. She couldn't take it all out on the kid. Jice was just a kid.

"Er, yes. I'm Night-- No, I'm Letiak. Those days are behind me. Anyway, uh. Whadda ya want to drink? I'm buying."

Letiak. The man seemed familiar. Perhaps she'd done a job for him before. Twi'lek. Not all were a pile of worthless trash, it seemed. The Zeltron decided to snap out of her daze. Nausea was setting in. Happy thoughts, it seemed, were a good solution. A smile appeared on her face.

"If you're buying, I'll take a Reactor Core. Suppose I'll be social. Name's Herrith, smuggler extraordinaire. Nice to see some familiar faces that got left behind too."

Luckily for her things seemed to be going nice enough. She'd direct her attention to Letiak first, and responded quite quickly to the offer.

"I'm not much of a drinker. No offense to you just uh...I don't, drink anything at places like this. Or uh, drinks of the sort. Thanks though!"

She'd then focus to Herrith, thinking over the last of what they said. Left behind, oh how she could relate. Though now was she left behind this time, or did she leave others behind? Jicelli hadn't even thought about it yet, and really didn't want to. She'd keep up a smile the best she could, despite her actual feelings, as she addressed the two. Of course she didn't know how to start it out, and just hoped she wasn't hitting a sore memory with either of them.

"So, if I may ask of course, uh...How have you two been as of late? I'm sure uh...Business has gone well enough. Hopefully?"

Oh how she hated her verbal hesitation and nervousness. It seemed like all her hard work at opening up was thrown out with her self-confidence. Figures.

Letiak slapped his knees as he stood up from the rickety old table to wander over to the bar, where a familiar-looking bartending droid stood. "A bottle of Reactor Core" he proclaimed, then muttering under his breath "Whatever the hell that is...", before continuing, "And whatever's cheapest for me"
"Of course, sir"
While the 'tender was making up the drinks, he strolled back over to where the other two were sitting and started talking to the unfamiliar face, "Business has been awful lately. There's no bounties around! Well, none worth completing anyway. This damned war!" The Twi'lek slammed his fist against the table in hesitation. For a moment, everyone in the bar turned to look at him in silence, before continuing with their drinks.
Now agitated, Letiak stood up silently to go back to the bar to collect their drinks.

StratusGold, mind if i join? Also if you don't want me to join in or use your character, just tell me, i'm ok with it, i'll just delete the post. (Just tell me)

Jason after hearing the conversation, stood up and walked over to where Letiak was. "So, i heard you need a job?" Jason eyed him from top to bottom. "Ok here's the deal, i got a job for you, if you want it of course. Jason takes out a bag, and pulls out a datapad. "Recently, this bastard stole something very valuable to me." Jason handed Letiak the datapad. It read Krenson Uhrah, age:42, Location:Naboo. There was a old picture of Krenson. "The job's pretty easy, just kill him. I don't care how you do it,think your up for the challenge?"

Herrith listened to both of the beings before her. Jice seemed...agitated, bothered by what the Zeltron had said. Left behind. Letiak was very obviously pissed off, going so far as to slam his hand down on the table after finishing his rant. He soon went off to collect drinks. Oh, how this group didn't mesh at all...
"So, if I may ask of course, uh...How have you two been as of late? I'm sure uh...Business has gone well enough. Hopefully?"

She snapped out of her thoughts. Why was she so distant? It was weird, not being herself, or the self that everyone knew.
"I've been right as rain. Seems noodlebrain hasn't."

Herrith was eyeing Letiak as he was approached by what looked like a Mando. Looked like trouble, too. Just the kind of trouble she was looking for, it seemed. He spoke to the Twi'lek, holding a datapad up. A job, it seemed. Her right hand slowly slid to her blaster's holster and she put her other hand on the table. These were sturdy slabs of material. They could hold up against a bolt or two.

Just in case.

Jason looked over his shoulder at a female Zeltron who was eyeing him. He then looked at the her hands. One hand on the table, the other on her blaster. "Ok i'll give you time to think about this, let me know wether you will take the job or not." Jason walks over to the Zeltron and takes a seat next to her. "You new?" Jason talks through his helmet. "Sorry, do you speak basic?" Jason takes off his helmet.

The response from the Twi'lek was one Jicelli hoped didn't come forth. When Letiak slammed a fist on the table she flinched quite hard out of an instinctive fear. She couldn't help it, and just accepted it for what she was. Alone, scared, and weak. At least Herrith seemed to be having some luck in life. Perhaps they were lying? What did she know? She was nothing in the galaxy but some "child" to do fancy talking. Her mind worked silently:

A pacifist nobody. A diplomat whose words fall on deaf ears. Useless.
A stupid blue Pantoran with a hopeless dream. A mere child. Used.
A trading card in a rigged exchange. Little true value. Unknown.

She sat in fearful silence now as she was much too scared to speak further. What remained of any initiative in her mind was burned away at the anger of the Twi'lek. She didn't want to make anymore mistakes, so she kept her gaze lowered. It was already

Then came forth someone whose job was probably killing other people. Herrith seemed to be put off from them, and thus Jicelli became even more nervous. She'd adjust the bag on her lap, rather reluctantly feeling around the inside for the blaster she kept. Not like she'd shoot anyone-- She hardly had the nerve to even consider aiming a blaster at someone.

Letiak grumbled, his cheap liquor swirling in his glass. At the back of his mind he had always thought of going back to that lifestyle; hunting, being hunted.

It didn't appeal to him, not anymore.

Looking at the mandarins, he studied him: the way he shuffled on his feet, his posture and his darting glances to their surroundings. After a moment of contemplation, he cleared his throat with a loud harrrumph before saying, "Listen, kid, you're asking me to go get this guy for ya - some, er, Krenson? Whaddya need me for? Yer a hunter yourself, as far as I can tell. Anyways, I've resigned myself to a life of booze!"[/COLOUR] He cheered lifting his glass high, so all in the bar could see.

The Pantoran was sad about something. Maybe Letiak had scared her. Maybe Yours Truly had scared her. The Zeltron couldn't have changed that much, could she? It was likely. Working for slavers...the very people she'd sworn to kill..working for both sides of the war. She had changed, it seemed. Maybe that was for the better.

However, her mental troubles weren't the biggest problem as of now. The Mando had approached and spoke before taking off his helmet. Amateur move.
"You new? Sorry, do you speak Basic?"

Herrith kept her eyes locked on him as she replied with a hint of unfriendliness in her tone and in her Corellian accent.
"Are you new here? Seems like it."

Jice had shifted in her seat, presumably either getting ready to run or reaching for a blaster. Likely the former. Damn pacifist. Guess the Zeltron would have to play nice. A smile came on her face.
"Sit down. We've got drinks and extra room. You drink, right?"

Jicelli silently listened and watch the other three, but ultimately forced herself to calm down. Yes, she was scared but for what reason? A few heated words? It didn't warrant a blaster being held did it? Of course not-- What would she even do with the thing? She'd set her hands atop the bag in her lap and hold them together as she thought heavily. What was she doing here?

Conversation. Yes, they were having a conversation. Of what? She lost focus. Oh, the stranger. What about them? Drinks, yes of course. Drinks. She didn't drink, so that wasn't good. She wasn't fitting in, and that was bad. If she wasn't fitting in she'd be seen negatively. A fear of being cast out took form. Something had to change.

Shaking her head lightly, she'd straighten up in her seat and revive a smile. Something quick to at least show she was 'alright' to the rest. If the stranger was staying then everyone might as well learn who it is. They hadn't already been introduced had they? She was already having doubts as she addressed the Mando-looking figure.

"Good...Afternoon? Who might you be, if we may know? I'm Jicelli Masin, an agent for uh..Nevermind."
She looked down for a moment as she cut her introduction at the end, reflecting on a thought. It seemed to pass rather quickly as she awaited a response.

"Ah, yes, sorry for the rudeness, I am kind of new, just wanted to start conversation and make some friends." Jason stood up. "Well see you later, I have to talk to someone, hopefully we meet again sometime?" Jason walked back over to Letiak. "Sorry to interrupt you again, but I think I've changed my mind, you made an excellent point, that I could collect the bounty, it was rather a test. Try to see what type of person you are, see I am new to this planet and just finished a bounty on my father's killer. I just want a place to settle down for a while." "It's been a long day, so I wanted to just settle down get some rest, and spend the rest of my credits at some bar." "Well that will be all thanks." Before Jason could walk away, Jicelli Masin walked over to the table. "Good...Afternoon? Who might you be, if we may know? I'm Jicelli Masin, an agent for uh..Nevermind." Oh hi, I'm Jason Krake, part time bounty hunter, I'm kinda new here, just wanted to make friends before enemies." Jason extended his hand to her.

((OOC: Hi, I'm going to swing in, if ya'll don't mind. If you do, let me know and I'll delete my post.))

Aystil was on break. Correction, she gave herself a break. The Sith always had missions that she could be working on, but she just... didn't feel like it. She was tired of putting salve on her own blaster burns. Her weariness led her here, to this busy bar. It was still raining outside, where she currently stood, and her hood was getting more damp every moment. She hurried inside, her cloak masking the lightsaber that was clipped to her hip.

She didn't want any trouble, really, she didn't. She just wanted a drink. As she entered the building, she pushed her hood off of her head. Almost instantly she was baffled by the fact that no one had bothered to look at the Sith in the doorway. Being ignored wasn't the typical response of people these days, but she appreciated it. Aystil headed towards the bar, choosing a seat parallel to the table that the Twi'lek, Zeltron, Pantoran, and Mandalorian were occupying. She gazed at them with slight interest, the brightly skinned ones causing her to stare for a moment. She looked away, waving over the bartender for a drink.

Hopefully we'll meet again something. Hmph. Funny. The bounty hunter turned and walked off to return to Letiak. Must be some old blood, perhaps old friends. Herrith kept her hand on her blaster. A lot of attention in a short amount of time. Guess she was good at jinxing things.

Then...someone new walked in. Quite short considering the woman was probably in her 20s, and easily mistakable for a call-girl or worse. Which meant she probably wasn't one. Looking like one had nothing to do with being one. Herrith kept her eyes on her own table, as any reasonably intelligent person would notice being stared at, especially in a dangerous place like this. With the woman entered a certain unease, something that put the Zeltron into her own unease and then therefore nausea. She downed what remained of her drink before pouring more whiskey into the glass and sliding it towards Jicelli's side as the newcomer sat down.

"Better starting now than never. You're gonna come to drinking sooner or later, trust me. Especially in a galaxy like this."

It wasn't like the Pantoran was striking up much conversation, so Herrith put on a reassuring smile before grabbing her whiskey bottle and walking over to the table at which the short lady had chosen to inhabit.
"Evenin'."

She took a seat and set down her bottle. Her next steps had to be very careful. It wasn't like she was on a mission, but it wouldn't hurt to hone in some conversational skills. Talking to someone new was also nice.

The woman also seemed like the type of person who'd gladly commit homicide. And Herrith had met a couple of those in her time.
"You're in a bar, I take it you're gonna order a drink."

She took a swig from her whiskey bottle and continued.
"I also bloody take it you're not much of a partier. Chose the wrong bar for that, then. Bad luck, love."

She cocked an eyebrow before taking another swig of the whiskey with a smile.
