So I have been watching a lot of sci fi stuff, and I've got a good interest in that 'rogue' ship of brigands idea. A ship of characters that moves from one job to the next, some maybe good, some maybe not, but just developing relationships and moving from plot to plot and seeing what influence can happen.

I'd like to submit Vako Yizaak, he's just a bit of a bruiser and reliable gun hand, for this crew.

I'm just curious if anyone else is interested in either taking on some crew for their ship, or putting one together.

I’d be willing to put one together, except my character doesn’t own a ship, but she’s be happy to join a crew.

Neither does Vako, but it's a start! I think there is one guy around here with a ship.... or we could steal one.....

Back in the day (in 2018) I wanted to try something like this, but got told that it might get complicated due to people taking a leave from time to time. Then I kind of disappeared myself (after making sure I had no owed posts, of course). Still, would be interested in trying this out. After all, what's the worst thing that could happen?

As it happens, @Kel Dryden has a ship. I had bigger plans for multi-crew back in the day; activities on my current ship are more limited. But the Black Swift can still house up to 8 people in total:
  • [Pilot] @Kel Dryden
  • [Gunner] (the ship has a single turret)
  • [Co-pilot]
  • [Auxilary slot / Passenger]
  • [Auxilary slot / Passenger]
  • [Auxilary slot / Passenger] (would be wise to reserve it for non-regulars)
  • [Auxilary slot / Passenger] (would be wise to reserve it for non-regulars)
  • [VIP Passenger] @Trinity (for now; might become permanent, if @Bran decides for more than a single charter)

Then I'd like to submit Vako to be that gunner / a gun hand. I figure a Toydarian would be ideal to get to the cannons quickly and keep weapons running.

Pidge could be either a copilot or passenger. She’s good with the inner workings of ships, but has never flown one

Excellent, I'd be glad to have you both on board! Now I just need to figure out how and when the characters meet.

Kel is currently on the run. When the enterprise of Bochaba the Hutt (his boss) got attacked, Kel had to take the Hutt's ship (with a load of spice) and flee with a rather demanding passenger who had paid for the ride to Naboo earlier. Now they have stopped on Mon Gazza to refuel the ship, sell the spice, and get medical help from a certain doctor Pidge knows.

I've talked to @Morse, and it looks like Vako is going to play the role of another agent of Bochaba's who survived the crackdown. He'd be pretty upset with Kel taking the ship for himself and will track down the ship.

Now we just need to figure out how Pidge joins the crew and set up a thread, I guess.

Pidge could follow suit. If they both survived the crackdown and both set out to get that ship it could be two birds with one stone.

Well, that story probably wouldn't make as much sense for Pidge, because she works for a different Syndicate (Crymorah, not Hutts).

Perhaps Vako hiring Pidge help to track down the missing Black Swift would make for a more believable story. That way, they could also draw the attention of people who had taken out Bochaba the Hutt (the original owner of the Swift).
