History

The history of Lehon and its many governments since has lasted many millennia, however the most taught history begins around three thousand years ago. This is the period known as Unification Wars, also known as the earliest years of the First Empire. This period lasts around a hundred years between the rise of the first Empire based upon the southern continent of Lehon, until it finally controls the entirety of the system. The first empire lasted around two hundred years before falling to the Great Socialist Republic.

The Great Socialist Republic, lasted a further five hundred and expanded slowly to a few nearby worlds, spending majority of its time looking inwards building the infrastructure of the core planets. During the Socialist Republic Lehon made its first contact with the larger galaxy, its great factory base allowing it to be come a powerful trade partner in the Western galaxy.

The Socialist Republic, fell away giving rise to the Second Empire and the height of Lehon power. With the industrial base in its home system, the Second Empire created a vast fleet of droids and ships and launched a massive invasion of the galaxy. Over the next three hundred years a near constant war was waged upon the galaxy, taking nearly half of the galaxy under its control. The Empire itself fell to internal matters as much as external. A great plague struck the home world of Lehon spreading along its strong infrastructure within a year 40% of the population was killed, another 40% within the next five. The sap of manpower, fall of industry and loss of leadership struck the empire at its heart and an organised Sith Empire rising in the west destroyed its prize fleet and within twenty years it was pushed back to the Lehon system alone.

The next period of time was known as the Great Darkness, a dark age which lasted almost six hundred years. The utter collapse of the previous Empire, was not just political but whole scale. The great plague not only infected lifeforms but the planets of the Lehon system themselves. Creating dangerous new fauna and flora which took back swaths of land from the giant imperial cities. Half of Lehon became a massive techno jungle, the shattered carcasses of skyscrapers covered in greenery. During this time a number of governments rose and fell, first there was democarices and republics, these gave way to monarchy's and dictatorships only the strong surviving The Great Darkness. Starship travel was limited, many of the hyperspace capable ships left within years of the Plague spreading and building a weapon to stave off the hungry predators was more sensible than building a ship during this time. There was interplanetary contact however between those in the Lehon system, though it was little more than communication and the occasional trade.

After almost six hundred years of darkness a new power rose in Lehon, from the ashes of what is know known as Star City a kingdom rose to take back the planet from the darkness. Over the next fifty years it slowly conquered all remaining lands on the planet Lehon. It set up projects to reclaim the Techno Jungles and transform them into major crop and cattle lands. Limiting the living space of the planet to the main cities. Over time The Kingdom reached out to the other inhabited planets in the system bringing them under its control, it then looked inward like the Socialist Republic rebuilding the planets of the system to make Lehon powerful again.

Geography

Lehon, is split into three major parts, the Super Cities, the agricultural plains and the oceans. This divide was created by the government of Lehon, who wished to preserve the natural order of the planet but to also make it more self sufficient, after seeing the collapse of the planet during the Plague they made the decision to make sure it would not happen again.

The four Super cities of Lehon are Star City, West City, Water City and Zantor City.

Star City is the capital of the planet and of the entire Lehon system, it is from this city that the current ruling government of Lehon began, it stretches over much of the north western part of the central continent of Lehon and is approximate 450,000 square kilometers. To the north and west of the city is ocean and to the south and east is one of the great agricultural plains of the planet.

West City is the largest of the Super cities and houses the largest space port, West City is known for his large industrial districts and is linked closely to the industrial moon of Laguul. Over 625,000 square kilometers in size it is surrounded on all sides by agricultural plains.

Water City as it so aptly called is a Super City based over the second largest sea on Lehon, built from the remnants of the old empire Water City is the only Super City given permit to expand outwards were the others are only told to expand upwards. Surrounded by sea it is the major hub for all seafaring vessels and all of the fishing and undersea mining corporations. Just Under 250,000 square Kilometers it is the third largest Super City.

Zantor City is the intellectual hub of the system, it his here were majority of the ground breaking science and technology developed by Lehon begins in its super factories and universities. At just over 200,000 square Kilometers it is the smallest of the cities, but nestled between the large mountain ranges of Lehon it is difficult to expand outwards or upwards so instead they dig into the planet.

Lehon itself is also orbited by two inhabited moons, Laguul and Martoon. Both have been specialized in one aspect of keeping the system alive. Laguul is one large industrial site, the entire planet is covered with factories, refinery's and space ports hauling in the raw materials from the large array of asteroids found in the system. Martoon is the complete opposite, called the Garden of Lehon, the planet is fully dedicated to food supply and renewable energy.

Politics

The government which controls the Lehon system is a Unitary state under a constitutional monarchy. The current monarch is King Aran Highwind IV who is the head of state and sovereign of all the planets in the Lehon System. The official government is ran by two houses, The House of Lords and House of the Elected.

The House of Lords is a house of Appointed individuals who hold vast swaths of land in both the Super Cities and the Agricultural Plains of Lehon as well as the other planets in the system. The House of Lords holds the true power in government and all large matters of state, such as tax rates, foreign affairs and military matters are dealt with here. The Monarch is the head of the House of Lords and presides over its meetings, in his head either the Prince or the King's Voice will sit in his sted. The Monarch has a veto over and notion and if he actions it the notion cannot be brought up for another full calendar month, he also has the deciding vote if there is ever a tie. Though the King has the most power in the House it is rarely used as to keep the Lords happy.

The House of the Elected is a house of elected individuals by the populace of the Lehon system. The Elected deal with the smaller affairs within the government, including tax rates and tariffs, law and justice. The house is made up of a number of different parties who wish to change the direction the tax's are spent and justice is delivered, there is currently a five way fight between different political parties for the majority share of the votes. Though often coalitions are formed between parties to gather the needed votes to become the controller of the House. The House also elects two elected individuals and three Lords to oversee each of the Super cities.

The one major power that the Elected do have as a result of a revolution long passed is in passing the 'Right of Power' this is in basic terms is the right for the House of Lords to pass any laws and for all the powers the Three Knightly orders posses. The bill is brought to the floor every five years shortly before the election and even though this in theory gives all power away from the elected, it has never once been denied. It has on occasion come close, but this is why the House of Lord's and the King chose it to come just before an election so that any opposing candidates can be effectively removed from office within a few short months. Due to vast financial powers the Lords hold it is seen as near governmental suicide to reject the bill as if the Lords pull themselves away from the government they realistically would crumble. The 'Right of Power' bill has lasted as it gives the people a say in the government, but the Lords the knowledge that they will always get there way.

The Inquistorum

The Inquistorum is the safe guard against corruption, a political and military entity which can look into anyone be them Peasant, Landowner or Lord, there reach only stops at the Royal family themselves. Every member of the Inquistorum come from either the Peasant or Landowner class, no Lord's or any of there family are members. The Inquistorum are tasked with investigating any form of corruption in any of the classes or governmental stations. Every member is inducted into the Inquistorum after passing a number of tests and trials before going before a committee of five high ranking members of the Inquistorum and three members of the House of Lords elected by the House of the Elected. An Inquistor is able to detain any member of the Lehon populace without reason for twenty four hours. They are then required to gain authorization from their head office to detain any further, though this is rarely not given.

Culture

The Lehon people are split into three classes;

The Peasants, Unlanded individuals who live off the land owned by the other two classes, they are not allowed to vote for the House of the Elected and it is extremely unheard of of a Peasant moving up to the next class, due to the low amount of free land and the extreme price of any available. They are the largest class.

Landed are the middle class, they are made up of people who own the land they live or work on, they employ or rent the land they own to peasants or companies. Some of the Landed are extremely wealthy even more than some of the Lords.

Lords, the top of the pile, only the Royal family is higher in prestige, power and wealth. They are the smallest of the three classes but own most of the land most of the planets wealth.

Technology

Lehon is slightly behind the galactic standard in terms of overall technology. Its main lacking are in ship technology, blaster weapons and hyper-drive with the fastest ship in its fleet achieving a 3.5 rating only. Though used widely throughout its larger forces, Lehon's reliability on the three knightly orders who concentrate on close quarters combat blaster technology has not been pushed forward in leaps and bounds compared to the rest of the galaxy, being roughly equivalent to the blaster tech of around 500 years ago.

The one place were its technology is above the galactic standard is in mechanized warfare, including walker units and mechanically enhanced combat suits.

Demographics

The total population of Lehon is 6.9 Billion, with a further 4.2 Billion spread across the remainder of the system. The Dominate species in the system is Human which take up around 65% of the populace, the second is the initially native Rakata with 25%, the remaining 10% is made up of Twi'lek's, Iridosians and Rodians.

Humans make up all baring two of the Lordly houses and the entire Royal family is Human, though there has been one exception were a Rakata was adopted into the extended royal family after service to one of the princes. The other two Lordly houses are also Rakata, they are socially equal to the Human Lords however rarely interact with them, preferring to deal with other non-human's in the System. The Rakata Lord houses are also some of the strongest supporters of the system re-opening ties with the wider galaxy.

Due a specific type of radiation given off by Lehon's star, many of the varieties seen in Twi'lek and Rodian races do not exist, only green pigmentation is seen in there seen. It is also very rare to find Human's without green eyes in the system, most of these residing on the industrial planet of Laguul.

Military

The military of Lehon is split into three branches, The Lehon Royal Imperial Navy, The Home Corp and the Three Knightly Orders.

The Royal Imperial Navy is the second largest of the three and the fastest growing as the government begins to open itself back to the wider galaxy. Commanded by the Admiralty Council, a selection of high ranking members, headed by the Lord High Admiral who is a member of the Royal family appointed by the King or Queen themselves. The rank system of the Navy is split into Commissioned officers who are either from Lord or Landed class, or Non-commissioned officers which come from the Landed or Peasant class. The Ranks are as followed;

The Three Knightly Orders are the upper echelons of the Lehon military, they are both the tip of the blade and the center of the shield of Lehon. Made up of majority of those in the Lord Class with a few exceptions from the Landed Class.

The Order of the Golden Rose

The Golden Rose is the most prestigious and oldest of the three knightly orders present on Lehon, formed during The First Empire. Members of the Golden Rose like all Knightly orders are not just pretty faces or mindless brutes. They study the aspects of Lehon law, military tactics, leadership skills and martial skills both with a blade and with a blaster. All knights must learn the codes, laws and practices of the Lehon government as any Knight is able to resolve any dispute between members of the Lehon people.

The Order of the White Thorn

The White Thorn is the second oldest of the three knightly orders present on Lehon, formed during The Second Empire. Members of the White Thorn like all Knightly orders are not just pretty faces or mindless brutes. They study the aspects of Lehon law, military tactics, leadership skills and martial skills both with a blade and with a blaster. All knights must learn the codes, laws and practices of the Lehon government as any Knight is able to resolve any dispute between members of the Lehon people.

The Order of the Red Hand

The Red Hand is the most youngest of the three knightly orders present on Lehon, formed by the current Kings Grandfather. Members of the Red Hand like all Knightly orders are not just pretty faces or mindless brutes. They study the aspects of Lehon law, military tactics, leadership skills and martial skills both with a blade and with a blaster. All knights must learn the codes, laws and practices of the Lehon government as any Knight is able to resolve any dispute between members of the Lehon people.

Intent

The intent is to move Lehon into Cannon and to create an interesting planet, government and culture to work from. I would also like in the future to make an Indie Faction based from the planet but at first I will just be basing my new characters from Lehon.

The problem with this, as I see it, is that it in no way even remotely resembles the Lehon of Legends lore. How does this new Lehon respect the guideline regarding canon planets, namely:

5. Canon planet submissions must respect the established setting, cultural and species information. The canon information must be respected in such a way that a new player is not required to read your submission in order to play a character on that world, but you may add information beyond that.

I understand this is different to the original Lehon, however without establishing the Infinite Empire which is now not cannon there isn't much that Lehon does offer in my opinion as pretty much anything involving this planet has some connection to this or Revan.

In theory my history is partly similar in that it was once a galaxy spanning empire but fell to a plague and retreated back to their home planet. But mine is now expanding out instead of turning into a pre-space flight culture.

However I do understand that this does change what the overall picture of Lehon from a more backwater Rakata only planet to a more advanced multi species planet so if this does go against the above rule. I am happy to change this up for potentially a Fanon Planet.

You're probably better off just going for a fanon world or a more obscure canon world, just to avoid complications, IMHO, just because this doesn't really resemble the original source planet in any form at all.

Just my two cents.

Can this be archived for the moment as I will probably look to take the above onboard and make a Fanon planet and add more to it.
