The young, sixteen year old Padawan walked aimlessly through the small ship she'd boarded. She still had her Padawan robes on and her blue Lightsaber at her side, and both items attracted stares from the small number of passengers that had boarded the transport, but the dispositions of the people delivering those stares was unknown to her. She was too lost in her own thoughts and memories to bother finding out. As she walked, she mapped out the layout of the ship in her mind. If her limited knowledge served her right, it was a modernised version of a hundreds of years old YT-series transport. She wasn't quite sure which version it was a remake of, however.

She let out a sigh as she continued walking, completely oblivious to anyone and everyone else aboard the ship with her. She made her way past the cabins, past the storage lockers and the cockpit, past the holo table and one of the two escape pods, all without taking any notice of it all. Before she realised it, she was standing in a cargo bay, completely alone. The emotions that had been running rampant throughout her body for the past few hours had finally dissipated upon finding this ship. The fear, the anger, the hate, all of it had drained away upon realising she'd found a way to escape. For a few brief moments she had been filled with elation. Now, however, she was just exhausted, both physically and mentally. She felt detached from everything. She'd lost the ability to sense her Master an hour ago, but was only now realising what that meant. It would probably be a while before she came to terms with all of it. She had taken lives and seen lives taken. She had fought tooth and nail for her life. She had spilled blood in the name of Coruscant and the Jedi. Not once, though, had she ever come up against another Force user. Every battle had been against those who couldn't sense the Force. The Imperial soldiers had been quite easy to deal with in comparison to the Mandalorians, but neither had been easy, and not once had she enjoyed it. Quite the opposite, in fact. She'd been terrified the entire time, and at many points quite sure she'd die.

Without realising it, Sara had dropped in to a cross-legged sitting position and removed the necklace from around her neck. The little flower charm attached to it twirled slowly in her fingers. Usually it was enough to calm her, if she focused. Right now, though, she felt calm enough. What the inexperienced girl didn't realise, however, was that it wasn't calm she was feeling. It was detachment stemming from overloaded senses. Everything she'd seen, everything she'd heard, felt and done, it had all been too much for her mind to handle. If there were any Force users nearby, it would be an easy thing for them to spot such an anomaly in her feelings; in the waves of the Force she was projecting unknowingly, and they would immediately know what it meant. She wasn't so lucky in that regard. She had never experienced such things before, and, inexperienced as she was, her brain had managed to deceive her in to believing she was indeed calm and sound of mind. The truth, though, was the opposite. She'd lost her Master, her home planet and her innocence all at once. Such things always left scars, whether the owner of said scars realised it or not.

"Master, I'm sorry," she voiced quietly as she sat in the middle of the cargo bay.

Serra’s adrenaline sill coursed through her veins, the events prior to this moment sending chills up her spine, detailed and gruesome images still flashed through her head. She imagined the horrified look of the helmet-less stormtrooper as it was killed by a Sith just for being in the way. She remembered his head falling to the floor, rolling towards her, replaying in her mind over and over again. She would never forget that moment. She would never forget any of it.

The ex-Senator of Naboo sat cross-legged on the public transport in the bunk she had been assigned, trying to get peace and quiet. Of course she couldn’t with all of the commotion going on with the room she now shared with various others, there were too many of them to count.
A baby began to cry, the vibrations piercing Serra’s already bloodshot ears from the battle. Serra simply observed as the mother tried to calm the infant down, and though she refused to admit it even to herself, Serra was surprised that such a vulnerable likeform had survived such a battle like that, considering that this transport was one of the last to escape, and was lucky enough to make its way out of the battle with little damage.
Serra shed a lone tear, though she didn’t cry. She was too weak to cry, too drained of emotion and sympathy for others.

In one day she had killed too many people to count, jumped out of her office window to escape a Sith into the never ending abyss of Coruscant, watched her Senatorial aide/close friend die, and nearly died herself. What a day.
It was then Serra reflected back to the moment her personal ship had been destroyed. Her safest means off planet was gone, and she was forced to leave the planet on one of the most targeted ships in the skies (due to it carrying various civilians,) or to stay on Coruscant and suffer the consequences.

Serra was wearing black jeans, boots, and a shirt with a hood, all of which were ripped from the battle prior to the event, (with the exception of the hood that she put on after boarding the ship.) She had covered her face in the hood so that no one would recognize her as the Senator of Naboo, though it didn’t matter now, did it? Jedi, celebrity, citizen, trooper, alien. It didn’t matter now; we were all victims to the Empire, and we would all be hunted down across the galaxy.

In an attempt to find out what was going on back on Coruscant, (though they were long gone,) Serra grabbed her holo-pad, one of the few possessions she had made it out with, and went onto the holo-net. Last she had checked, Coruscant’s skyscrapers were literally crumbling all around due to the holy Empress of the Empire, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop her. Was Coruscant not just lost, but officially destroyed, as well?
Just as Serra has opened the holo-net, and Error code appeared in front of screen in front of her. The holo-net was not up and running, instead it was offline.

Serra couldn’t stand sitting in her bed anymore. She had been in there ever since she arrived on the ship and was assigned her bed, and she couldn’t take it anymore, what with the baby’s screams getting more violent. Instead, she got up from the bed and walked out of the room.

If the conditions weren't what they were one might think that it was interesting that the trio survived and ended up on the same ship. But with everything that went down no one really cared or noticed. He in particular found it difficult to center himself, especially after what he just experienced. The man thought that from studying history he would learn, that by becoming a General he would be able to change things. He thought that the Old Jedi Order made a mistake by not taking actions against the Mandalorians during the days of the Old Republic.

He thought that they were smarter now and as he became a Jedi Knight he too joined the war. Guhoo Armstrong. A prodigy with a lightsaber. Not a single battle lost, yet he lost the war. He cut down Sith Masters and Crusaders, even a Darth on Endor, yet the Alliance lost the war. The defeat wasn't a surprise really, he knew it for a while now. Taking on the Empire, the Mandalorians and the Chiss Ascendancy was a strategical nightmare and proved to be a grave mistake as the Alliance was just stretched thin at every turn. Even if the numbers were on their side, or so it seemed on paper at the time, in the end Guhoo felt as if he was wounded as his ship left the orbit of Coruscant.

With his lightsabers attached to his belt the man had taken of his thick battle armor and along with his helmet just tossed it in a plasteel cylinder, some parts inside, some beside. He really didn't care about being neat right now. He was lost and had just, as the now former Supreme Commander, suffered the greatest military defeat of this era... That kind of made the blood stains on his armor and body suit irrelevant.

The black body suit and the belt was all the blond haired Battle Master wore as he walked around the ship, his heart heavy, as his blue eyes looked around. He looked for nothing in particular when someone elses force aura clashed with his. His tired eyes showed his feet the way and soon with light steps, the man walked in a room from where the energies came from. The face of the person?

She was a padawan! At least someone else from the Order had survived. That was a relief, though hardly a comfort in light of what the man just experienced. "Padawan..." The man said walking in... He wasn't sure what to say at this point. He wanted to try and calm her down, he wanted to be the strong and wise master that he always was. Yet he simply walked in and sat down wherever he first could. His legs were tired, his eyes were tired, his heart and body were tired. He had fought in this war for a long time...

((Fixed up the link in the first post, so it should actually work now ^_^))

After muttering those three words, the Padawan had fallen silent, simply staring at that necklace twirling in her fingers. She felt utterly calm. The anger she had expected; the fear; the unbearable levels of pain, none of it had arrived. She felt grief, yes, and she felt like she had betrayed her master, but the overwhelming bombardment of emotions she had expected never came. It didn't occur to her at the time to think this strange. Instead she simply went with it.

When the Jedi Master spoke to her, Sara's head shot up in surprise. She'd been so absorbed in herself and so focused on the very recent past that the raging tempest that was the Jedi's aura had passed her by. "M-Master," she stuttered in response. She didn't know if this man was in fact a Jedi Master or not, and in fact did not even recognise him for who he was, but he was very clearly an experienced member of the Order, which was why, when finally she did pay attention to his aura, she felt just as many emotions as she thought she should be feeling. What she didn't realise, however, was that all these emotions her mind was protecting her from still projected themselves through her aura. Her body still felt them, regardless of how protective her mind was of her.

She sat in silence for a short while after greeting the Jedi, continuing to simply stare at her necklace. After a while, though, she spoke again. "Master, what should we do? I don't even know where this ship is going. How are we to get back to the rest of the Jedi now?" She may have not mentioned anything about her disobeying her master, but the shame and guilt she felt at that action shone so strongly it just about hijacked her aura completely.

Serra pursed her lips, her feet swinging on the floor, her boots giving a small click with every step she made, though it couldn’t be heard over the sound of emotion giving off on the walls throughout the ship. Serra was at a loss of where she was going, she just needed to be… somewhere? Had any other senators, or any Jedi, or any troops made it out of Coruscant? Most likely, yes, but how many? To what extent has the Alliance survived? Is there even an Alliance anymore?

“I have to get home…” Serra muttered under her breath, a puff of warm hair being let out into the cold, dark, ship. Naboo, a peaceful planet untouched by the war. What was it left to now? Would it be next? The thoughts slowly turned into nightmares as Serra’s mind lingered on the unlikely.

It was then Serra turned a sharp corner, almost knocking into the door of the Cargo Hold. The durasteel doors slid open with a screech, and allowed Serra to see two figures standing inside the dark room.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to inter-“ Serra stopped mid-sentence, her lips slowing to a halt as her eyes widened, her hand raising to point an index finger at the pair. “You’re Jedi… You survived…” It was all she managed to bring out from her mouth. It was hard enough for her to believe all that had transpired on that day, this had made matters even more interesting, however. Well, interesting from an outside perspective, but it made Serra’s life one big mess.

The girl, she was so young. Guhoo wondered if just how much of war she had experienced. In hindsight he thought that maybe all padawans should have been ordered to leave Coruscant, or maybe she was too but decided to stay anyway. He wouldn't have faulted her either way, it was her choice to make. As he sat down however his back leaned against the cold durasteel wall of the ship as it brought them to safety.

They were lucky in their escape too, having encountered no trouble from the Empire's fleet as they escaped or were their pilots that good? Either way they were here now, traveling South no doubt, away from the reach of the Empire. How many more had made it off the planet before the Sith lay waste to it? Guhoo wasn't sure, his connection to the force was... disturbed. He couldn't focus properly and he couldn't reach out and feel the galaxy. The death of so many, experiencing it the way he has, it was a difficult experience.

He wasn't sure what was going on right now. He would need time to heal... "I.... I don't know. My connection to the force... I can't feel them. But they are alive, I know that." It was true. Guhoo had received reports about the Light of the Force escaping a Sith warship after sustaining some minor damage. Good thing that ship had thick armor. But where they were right now, Guhoo did not know.

"Don't worry abou..." As he wanted to offer words of comfort the door leading to this room opened once again and inside walked a familiar person. Even though they never formally met Guhoo recognized her, she was the Senator of Naboo. And no doubt would she recognize him as well. Jedi Councilor and Supreme Commander of the military, or was it ex Supreme Commander now? Looking up at her Guhoo wished he had the strength to stand up and greet her formally, but right now he was tired. His words would have to do...

"Yes we have... I'd appreciate it if you didn't spread that around Senator." In Guhoo's mind there was no need to spread that information further, for there was no telling what went on in people's minds. Some were perhaps angry at the Jedi for no "defending" them. Some were looking to perhaps gain favor with the Empire by turning the Jedi in for bounties and a life of leisure, and some just escaped death and the destruction of their home world and needed silence. Despite being from Corellia, Coruscant was like a second home to Guhoo so he too felt pain and loss...

((Ugh, such a small post >.<. I guess she just has very little to say or think at the moment))

As the Councilor spoke, Sara simply sat as she had been the entire time, looking down at the necklace twirling idly in her fingers. She didn't immediately comprehend the words he spoke, but when she did it was only with sadness. Not even a Jedi as experienced as the one that sat near her could feel them. What possible hope would she have if not even he knew where they were or how to get to them?

When the door to the cargo bay once more opened, Sara again started in surprise, head whipping around to stare at the entrance and make sure nothing threatening was coming through it. This action alone spoke volumes about her experiences in the battle and just how well she was handling them. "S-Senator? What's a Senator doing on this ship?" The fact that the same question could be asked of two Jedi never occurred to the young Padawan.

After her sudden outburst, the Padawan once more fell silent, simply looking between the two people who now occupied the cargo hold with her. She had nothing more to say. Anything she could have said would have been devoid of any actual meaning or feeling, so why bother?

(Waahhhh, this is a short post also. D: Darn writer’s block!)

Serra looked the two Jedi up and down. “Master Jedi, I am pleased to see you made it out safely,” she began with a slight bow of respect to the older Jedi. While the Alliance had officially been destroyed, and she had killed countless Imperials that day, she was not one to lose her elegance off of the battlefield. Nevertheless, this Jedi was one of the Jedi Council, and it brought joy to Serra’s heart to know that someone so important, so targeted, could make it out alive. It was then Serra had turned to face the other Jedi. “I am glad to see you have made it out as well, my name is Serra Talorae. I don't think I've formally met you” It was then she stood to face the other Jedi. "Or you, matter of fact." The Senator looked them both over, each looked pretty beat up, as did herself.

Serra looked down, holding tears back. She was a tough Senator, but she had watched countless people die today, and the fall of a government which has stood for over a thousand years. It was just hard to watch, hard to understand, hard to hope for anything more to come out of this. There was no hope. The most they could do was head to their home planet, (well, Serra at least, for she was lucky enough that Naboo was out of the reach of the Empire as of late.) Maybe the others didn’t exactly have a home planet anymore.

It was then Serra looked to both of them, her eyes strangled with distraught. “Do we know how many made it out?” The words were hard to spit out, for she wasn’t sure she wanted to know the answer. Trillions lived on Coruscant, and trillions more had gone there as a safe haven once their home worlds fell to the Empire… How many made it out? A few hundred thousand? A billion? Maybe even a trillion if they were lucky…..

He simply wanted to lean against the wall and sit there, and not say anything, yet even though he wanted to just be quiet right now he looked towards the Senator who still clung to etiquette and offered him a bow. A tired smile and a nod was offered in return, because quite frankly Guhoo didn't have more to offer as a painful realization spread through his mind. After having felt the death of Grand Master Sigur and the death of the Sage Master Ashara Vashee the man sitting with the two women was the only living member of the Jedi Council.

It was not an easy thing to swallow, to be the only Councilor left. He was always thought to be the reckless one, thought to be the one who took the most risks and acted the most un-Councilor like. He was thought to be the next generation and as he sat there he realized that right now he was. With both Sigur and Ashara gone, Juno and the other Jedi missing it was difficult to see what the next move was. Deal with the experience of having lost Coruscant and the entire Core, as well as so many good Jedi and Alliance soldiers.

Perhaps? But perhaps?

Perhaps Master Kara and Jhon were alive somewhere! Even though Guhoo heard disturbing news about Jhon Cordatus during the Battle of Tython there was the possibility. No news on Kara though. No news on where Juno was either, or Ebberla Daw. Times sure looked grim for the Jedi and the now broken Alliance. But getting back to the two woman he shared this space with. Looking at the Senator, or would it be former Senator now, Guhoo had this serious look on his face.

"The evacuation was mostly a success, on the upper levels at least..." There just wasn't enough time to evacuate everybody, as the entire Core had been evacuated previously. There just weren't enough ships to both get people of Anaxes, Tython, Coruscant far enough and to come back AND fight the combined forces of the enemy. Count in previous losses, public demonstrations and protests, mass hysteria and the crime rate spiking on the lower levels and you are starting to understand what the conditions were when the planetary defense was planned by Guhoo and his advisers.

"Many stayed behind though and fought to defend what was theirs." It was the truth, many were inspired by ex-Chief of State Bastele's speech and joined the Alliance forces in defending Coruscant. Many of them died... And this little rag tag group of survivors was one of the few that made it out so clean. Some survived, many did not... A sad day for the history books indeed.

Maybe it was the crazy circumstances, or maybe it was just her being crazy, but upon hearing the Senator's name, the young Padawan couldn't help but to burst out in hysterical laughter, clutching at her sides as her scarred mind did anything it could to feel at least a little bit better. It took her a minute, but finally she gained control of herself again, and when she did she spoke with hints of hysterics still painted on her face. "I'm Sara Pren. It's nice to meet you."

Normally she'd feel ashamed for bursting out laughing at a clearly appropriate time. Usually the first thing she'd do is apologise endlessly until she felt she had properly made up for her sudden outburst. But this situation was anything but normal, and even as she naturally searched her mind for that familiar feeling of shame at the outburst, she found herself not caring about the loss of etiquette and composure. It was such a trivial thing to be worrying about at a time like now that she just... didn't.

With a sigh the Padawan slumped again, the mirth that had brightened her mood for a few moments having fully faded. The necklace in her hands rose as she rose her hands, replacing it around her neck where it belonged and tucking the flower pendant back under her robes. It was nice to hold in her hands if she needed to calm herself, but she truly did prefer it around her neck where it belonged. Close to her heart.

Sara was quickly brought back to reality by the older Jedi's words. "I was one of those ones that stayed and fought for what was theirs. I should have listened to my master and left with the rest of the Jedi when he told me to." At this point she looked up, the guilt and shame she'd felt since entering the ship shining through both on her face and in her Force aura, but accompanying the two was a small hint of uncertainty, as if she were seeking some form of validation. "I couldn't, though. I was born on Coruscant. I've lived there my entire life. I couldn't just leave it."

Her thoughts and voice were very un-Jedi like as she spoke. She wasn't calm, peaceful and harmonious. She was tormented, stricken with pain and doubting herself. It was a moment like this in which her true age shone through more clearly than ever. She may be a Jedi, but she was still only sixteen years old, and all the self-doubt and insecurity that came with it was still there, deep below the surface, waiting for its moment to shine. It had chosen this moment.

Serra eyebrow was raised, a look of question on her face as she simply observed the girl laughing in front of her. It truly was an odd sight to see, especially after such an emotional day. How could she laugh at a time like this? Is she insane? Laughing while everyone else on this ship was crying? Serra really couldn’t blame her, for she had also laughed at inappropriate times before. It was then the horrific image of her laughing in the middle of speaking during a Foreign Relations Committee assembly had come flooding back to her. She had laughed right in the middle of her speech! Senator Boshti had never given her any slack for it.

I’ll never recover from that… Serra thought to herself. It was then her stomach gave an uncomforting gurgle. Most of those people who she had embarrassed herself in front of were either dead or in exile, yet here she was, selfishly thinking of old stories that she wished she could forget. And they’ll never recover from this, I suppose... She thought, this time with a hint of sadness, and loss.

“Are we going to regroup with the others, or is this transport just going to dump us all off on some backwater planet, while the Empire hunts the remnants of us down?” Serra questioned the two Jedi. They had just as much knowledge as she did, so she couldn’t be too hard on them. It wasn’t their fault she was in this mess, she had to refrain from asking questions, even though that was the life of a politician. Then again, she wasn’t exactly a politician anymore.

“I have to get back to Naboo, my people could be the next ones in danger…” she whispered to herself, though without realization, it was to the extent that the Jedi could most likely hear her mumbling, but what did she care?

"I don't know where the ship is going. I didn't stand around long enough to find out. I heard it was getting off Coruscant and I climbed aboard." The Padawan looked down, muttering in a voice just barely loud enough for the other two to hear, "I don't even know where the Jedi who didn't fight are going. I don't know how we're to find them at all." As she spoke, the despair she felt pulsated throughout her. She had no master, no home, and now no destination. She didn't know where she was going or what the next few years - if she even survived that long - would bring. Sara had never in her life been forced to fight for survival until this day. She'd had a rather easy life, all things considered. She grew up in the Jedi Temple, spent almost all of her time there, and for all intents and purposes seemed to just forget the rest of the galaxy existed. Not anymore, though.

"Life is going to be tough now, isn't it?" she asked of no one in particular. It was more a rhetorical question than anything, but as unsure as she was, she couldn't help but continue to look for confirmation and validation of things she wasn't certain about. Strangely, the situation reminded her of a time not long after her becoming a Padawan, when her master had been instructing her in the use of Force Powers. Believe in yourself, Sara, he had said. You have the power within you; all you need to do is believe in yourself. She'd always had trouble with Force Powers and had always struggled with them. She'd taken his advice, though, and tried to believe in herself, and it had helped. She just needed to use that same belief in herself to get through her current situation. It was far easier said than done, though.

The Senator's muttered words brought Sara back to reality. "Where is Naboo? Do you think it would be a safe place?" In truth, Sara probably should have known where Naboo was located, but at this moment in time she couldn't remember where it was. But if it was a place of relative safety, she'd happily head there. After all, she had no idea where the rest of the Jedi were going.

Serra listened to the Padawan’s concerns. They were notable ones, and ones she had in fact shared with her. What were they going to do? Well, Serra knew where she was going, but what of the other Sara, and the master Jedi? They were all fugitives, and the Sith would easily be able to follow their scent, even with the Jedi Councilor alone. They brought a threat down to everyone else on this ship, once they landed, they would most likely part ways. One question had still lingered on Serra’s mind… Where were the other two going to end up? Sure, she had met them only moments ago, but the point still stood that they were stranded in the open, unless they actually had a plan, though Serra assumed they didn’t.

She would most likely be able to help them. But at what cost? With the Jedi hiding out on her homeworld, would it attract the Sith to them? And what of the Alliance itself? With the core worlds completely taken over by the Empire, the rest of the Alliance was hauled up in the Galactic Southern parts of the region, with no one to really govern them since so many forces were stationed on the core worlds. It was all one big mess, but it was a mess the Empire would have to push through to get to Naboo, or would they have the Mandalorians do all of the work again, then take the credit?

As the Padawan finished speaking with a mumble, Serra looked around the room, particularly at the door, as if afraid someone was going to enter at any time, cornering them like rats in a laboratory.

“The majority of the Galactic South is safe as of now, but that’s it, and I don’t know how much longer it will be safe, luckily Naboo is stationed in arguably the safest part of the galaxy for Alliance soldiers and refugees as of late, though the Chiss Ascendancy is pushing forward from Ender, while the Imperium has us cornered from practically every other angle." Serra stopped for a moment, looking at the two Jedi who were now staring at her intently. "It’s only a matter of time, and that’s why I need to get back to my people. I fear within a few months that the planets will dissolve into their own independent leaderships, and will not stand together to fight the Imperium. If that is the case, we have already lost…” Serra’s last words trailed off, and as that happened she slunk down to the floor, her face looking grim, not daring to look at either the Jedi or the Padawan.

One thing was clear; their fate was grim, whatever their fate may be.

"You can't say that Senator..." The deep voice of the war tested man echoed throughout the hollow space after some time of silence from him. Obviously the woman had forgotten, or was unaware of recent developments... "Parts of Naboo are still fighting the rakghoul plague, so you can't just assume Naboo is safe." He knew that she wanted it to be safe, she wanted to believe that there was a safe spot where the Sith couldn't reach them...

And maybe she was right, maybe for now Naboo was a safe place. For now. If the Core, if Coruscant, if Endor, Anaxes, Alsakan, Brentaal IV and Tython could fall no one planet was safe from the Empire. Of course the Empire had just won the biggest battle of the war and broke the galaxy but there would surely be people who still wish to stand up and fight. "Of course that may have been handled by the authorities by now so I may be mistaken..." Deciding to not be harsh towards either of the two and crush their hopes the man quieted down some.

He simply wasn't sure how to behave... He had lost so much today. The war, the other Jedi, himself in some way... It was difficult seeing where he'd go from here... Would he still walk the path of a soldier and general, or was it time to step away from the fighting and seek guidance, true guidance, from the force...

Everything was so unclear, so uncertain...

"I just hope we can find somewhere safe to go. I don't know where the other Jedi fled to. I was never told." The more she thought on it, the more she wished to locate the rest of the Jedi and rejoin their ranks. She could of course still learn and improve if she failed to locate them immediately, as she had the memories of a lifetime of lessons and training to work with, but nothing could replace actually being taught in person by a Jedi. But of course, that was only part of the reason she wished to find them again. She had departed the real reason on this ship what felt like only minutes ago. Without Coruscant, she had no home. That was why she had to find the Jedi again. They were her only family, and as she'd once heard someone say, home is where the heart is. Her heart would always remain with the Jedi Order. She just had to find them.

Sara was brought back to reality by the Jedi Councillor's words. "R-rakghoul plague? Does that mean Naboo is not safe after all?" The longer this conversation went on, the more Sara realised just how grim their situation was. Coruscant was in ruins, the Jedi Order was scattered and on the run, and the Galactic Alliance had all but fallen apart. Hope was but a far away light just on the edge of vision. Always there, but ever elusive. Sara had no idea what to do.

Tired eyes moved to look at the young person, so young, so unaware of the bigger picture. Guhoo always liked to think he was aware of galactic affairs but now he second guessed himself. Was he perhaps mistaken in the way he perceived things. Had he perhaps all along perceived the world and the force in the wrong way? There were many matters that he would have to revalue once he reached a safe destination. Sadly safe was a term used pretty loosely here for many reasons...

The biggest one being because in their current situation, not knowing where the other Jedi had gone, being safe meant traveling alone and away from prying eyes and not staying in one destination for long. Which also meant that Guhoo would be saying good-bye to his saviors sooner rather than later as his mere presence probably endangered them a lot. With the Jedi weakened there was little doubt that the Sith would try and hunt down every last one of them and claim total victory that way. Which forced Guhoo actions in way...

"No padawan... but Naboo won't be safe for a number of reasons..." Another one being that there was a massive public backlash against the Jedi after Nathaniel Bastele made the announcement that the Jedi abandoned the Galactic Alliance in the most important moment of the war. People were afraid, angry and confused. They needed someone to blame for everything that happened and the Jedi were perfect for that. Regardless whether they tried to help or not the Jedi right now were as hated as the Sith as the common man couldn't really distinguish the two. Except maybe that one swung a blue and the other a red lightsaber...

"Right now we can only wait and see where we end up landing. From there you and I will be moving on... We can't count on anyone coming and getting us either. Right now the other Jedi have their own problems to deal with..." He couldn't shield her from the reality. It wasn't pretty, and it would be difficult, but it was real and it was life. Certainly now one could see that the decision to stay back and fight for Coruscant brought with it certain consequences.

(OOC: If we’re to finish this thread in time, we need to haul our booties, and probably skip to the future to when the transport lands, and maybe we can finish it there.)

“Now wait just one moment,” Serra had startred, the words stuttering out of her mouth before she even had time to bring them back in. She didn’t want to sound too harsh, but she needed to get her point across. “Don’t you dare give up on Naboo just yet,” whether she was trying to give valid points, or merel just defend her home planet after the Jedi had called it unsafe was unknown at the time, even to Serra, but it was important that they got to safety, for as long as they lived, so did the Jedi. And as long as Serra lived, so did democracy- or at least that’s what she told herself.

“The Rakghoul plague has been pushed back to the very outer reaches of the Nabooian forests. Currently, the Gungans are dealing with the situation, and we have sent them aid, but by no means is it currently affecting my home, my family,” the last bit had come out rather aggressively, though it was unintentional, for she meant no disrespect to either of the Jedi.

With a small breath, Serra waited for a response before continuing- though both Jedi remained silent. “And as it goes for public relations, I have a slight influence on the Queen. There is a mutual respect between us, and a friendship that goes far back. I can convince her to let me sneak you into my home until the Sith are satisfied that the Jedi are gone, then you can do whatever. You won’t put me in danger, nor my people. The long arms of the Empire can’t reach Naboo, at least for the time being.” Serra paused, before remembering the Jedi were all too convinced that their demise was certain.

“And with that attitude, you’re surely doomed. If I were you, I would try to keep a more optimistic point of view.” Again, Serra meant no disrespect, but her little speech had come out rather aggressively.

((Strange.. I never even saw that you replied to this, Hannah. It never emailed me or anything. I think I'ma fast forward this to the landing as suggested, BTW <3))

As the ship continued to make its way from Coruscant, the passengers aboard the ship all acted in their own interesting ways. Some sat silently, lost in their own little world; some cried, grieving over lost loved ones or thankful they had managed to escape; some talked in happy, polite voices with others the entire time, but it was clear they were simply putting on a face and either dealing with it behind the closed doors of their brain or not dealing with their situation at all.

For the three in the cargo hold, time progressed slowly. They continued talking of this or that, and eventually it was decided that the two Jedi would indeed accompany the former Senator back to Naboo. No place in the galaxy was truly safe from the Sith should they decide to seek them out, but a place in which they had friends willing to take them in and hide them from the long arm of the Empire was probably the best place they could be, and it would hopefully give them the time they needed to locate the remaining Jedi and return to them.

Finally, after what felt like a very long time for the young Padawan, the ship dropped out of hyperspace. Having never been off Coruscant, she had absolutely no idea just where they'd ended up. She was trusting in the two companions she'd found to help her with that.

She did not move immediately upon the ship dropping from hyperspace. Instead, she remained seated. Over the course of their journey - it hadn't actually been all that long, but for the traumatised Padawan, it had felt like a VERY long time - Sara had slowly been forced to knock down the walls her mind had erected and release the memories and feelings and everything that came with them. Over the course of the trip she had turned from depressed and detached in to pained, overly emotional and angry, and for the past twenty minutes had simply been sitting in place, necklace in hand and twirling in her fingers, eyes glued to it as she attempted to calm herself and gain control of her emotions. So far it hadn't worked.

When she looked up, she naturally looked to the older Jedi. With a questioning look on her face she asked, "Are we there? And where exactly is there?" Without awaiting an answer, she replaced the necklace around her neck and stood, moving to the door of the cargo hold with a suddenly eager step. She wished to be off this ship. It was a desire that had manifested itself instantaneously, but she found it was one she could not refuse. She wished to be off this ship and moving about again. She had been sitting still for far too long.

((You would be right in assuming I couldn't think of a place for them to land. I figure the ship wasn't going straight to Naboo, but to some other place away from Coruscant.))

There were few trips Guhoo made that were as bad as this one. And not because of the company he kept or the comfort level, but because of what he and they experienced. Looking at the stars as they dropped out of hyperspace the Jedi Master still couldn't shake the bad feeling that had attached itself to his heart after the devastating loss the Alliance and Jedi suffered on Coruscant. This was it, the war was lost, even though surely more would stand up and try to fight back the Empire.

With Coruscant gone the Galactic Alliance's center and headquarters had been taken over, and effectively the Empire had broken the Galactic Alliance of Free Worlds. The Corellian Jedi thought many times about what was next, for him, for the jedi, for the people who considered themselves Alliance citizens. It would no doubt be a dark and long night that set over them but deep within the tired jedi's body burned a small candle. One that fought back the darkness and still burned, despite the war and the scars it left on Guhoo's soul and body.

It was interesting though, the words of the young senator shook him, woke him up and motivated him somewhat. They disturbed the darkness that surrounded his heart and clouded his mind with worries, he once again started to think rationally, at least more rationally than before. Standing up and looking out in to space the man knew that it was time to seek out the pilot and see where they were...

Walking out of the cargo hold which had served as his home after escaping Coruscant the blond haired man was still tired and hadn't slept at all but he had started to come to terms with the fact that the battle was lost.. They needed to move forward, and even though it would be difficult they would keep going. Right now their ships needed to be refueled before they could continue to Naboo, but they were close to their destination. Looking at the pipes and metal covers as he passed through the long narrow hall Guhoo wondered what awaited him in the future.

Had he yet to truly come to understand what being a Jedi was truly about? Was this just the beginning? He'd only find out if he kept on going... This wasn't the end of the road for him.

No! Things were just beginning.
