After being closed for two days for cleaning and renovations, Clinks was back and open for business. The surface-level lounge and bar opened its doors at 7pm and by 10pm the lounge was full of chatter. Patrons mingled amongst the aquarium walls and chatted amongst themselves. Her servers attended the few tables to the side of the lounge, carrying food from the kitchen and dirty dishes back and forth. Lazy house music played over hidden speakers, and the blue, green and pink ambient lighting defined the mood of the establishment. Two security men watched over the gathering, one stationed by the front door and the other standing guard by a curtained-off room to the side. The one at the front checked to make sure patrons were of age, stamping anyone who was not.
Fifteen minutes past 10pm, Thai Ves exited the curtained room. An older, wealthy man exited the room as well, looking troubled. He thanked her and left, and the Togrutan woman returned to her position at the bar. Her eyes scanned over the room, looking for familiar faces, or new ones to learn.
