After being closed for two days for cleaning and renovations, Clinks was back and open for business. The surface-level lounge and bar opened its doors at 7pm and by 10pm the lounge was full of chatter. Patrons mingled amongst the aquarium walls and chatted amongst themselves. Her servers attended the few tables to the side of the lounge, carrying food from the kitchen and dirty dishes back and forth. Lazy house music played over hidden speakers, and the blue, green and pink ambient lighting defined the mood of the establishment. Two security men watched over the gathering, one stationed by the front door and the other standing guard by a curtained-off room to the side. The one at the front checked to make sure patrons were of age, stamping anyone who was not.

Fifteen minutes past 10pm, Thai Ves exited the curtained room. An older, wealthy man exited the room as well, looking troubled. He thanked her and left, and the Togrutan woman returned to her position at the bar. Her eyes scanned over the room, looking for familiar faces, or new ones to learn.

Taldorak had returned to his turf on Coruscant between his numerous ventures. Had to keep eyes on his territory and the like. And Clinks was no different. He sat in his VIP lounge, two of his own security detail with him. His helm was off and on the seat beside him. Clad in his armor, he definitely stuck out like a sore thumb, but he made sure Thai would see him all the same.

His head would bob to the beat of the music playing in the bar, his eyes scanning for the woman in charge. Once he caught sight of her, he'd lift his hand and wave her over. Though he had two guards with him, they weren't exactly keeping tabs on the goings on, mainly because he ordered them not to. The Enforcer was fairly confident that he was well-protected. And if not, he could definitely handle himself.

It's not often that Aden himselfs on Courscant, much less the surface levels of all things, but he had some business to take care of around here, got it done, and now it's time to put some hard earned credits to use with some impulse purchasing of drinks.

Aden was wearing his casual outfit, nice brown-spaceleather jacket over his flightsuit but with none of his extra gear minus a holstered pistol. No need to lug around all of around. He would aim to take a seat at the bar, he would see a rather nice Togrutan lady there. "Hello there." Aden would give a charming smile towards the bartender. "Glass of New Alderaanian wine?" he'd ask for.

The young pilot would look around, he had to admit. "This sure is a nice establishement..." he had to give a compliment. He's used to bars and cantinas on shadowports or on spacefaring vessels that are pretty crude, dirty, and utilitarian. This is probably one of the fancier establishments he's been in.

Thai Ves stood over the bar, her forearms pushed together on the bar as she leaned forward and looked around. Eventually her eyes wandered toward Taldorak, who was waving her over. He had taken his place at one of the curtained-off booths, as he usually did. She stood up to head over there, but before she could move, a customer requested a drink. Thai gestured for a moment, then turned to the unfamiliar face.

"Sure thing," Thai gave Aden a smile and turned around to get the bottle off the shelf and poured the man a glass. She turned back around and placed the glass in front of him.

"Well thank you. I've put a lot of work into this place." Thai placed the bottle under the counter in case he wanted another glass sooner or later. "I don't believe I've seen you here before. You're a pilot…?" Thai looked the man up and down, smiling. "Mind if I got a name?"

She'd chat with him for a moment, then go see Taldorak.

"Thank you" Aden nodded and said sincerely. Upon the glass being poured he take it and tag a swig at it. Aden does like New Alderaanian wine, but he's heard the the orginal Alderaanian wine is a rare sight in the galaxy nowadays but is even better.

Anyways, The bartender seems like a nice lady. They started talk and and oh, she put a lot of work into this place? Does that mean she owns the place or is at least a manager? Anyways, she'd ask about him and he would be content to answer. "Yeah I am one. I'm Aden Archer, I fly a U-Wing, the Bravebird" he smiled. Aden was proud of the U-Wing he owned, he put a lot of time and credits into it and it's a good and reliable machine.

"But yeah, what about you?" he smiled as he asked curiously, if Aden gave his name it's fair to know hers. Aden would also ask another question to the Togrutan "You own this fine establishment I take it?" he paused he asked to confirm his hunch. Aden would take another sip of his fine drink.

Taldorak didn't seem bothered that she got caught up with another patron, after all, it was business. He'd shift through several contacts as he planned out the next move of one of his ops. He'd then pause from his work and send a message to @Dhari Rast to meet him at the hangout.

His gaze would then flit over some of the patrons, scanning the crowd for colors, weapons beyond protection, or badges. He had made sure that word had gotten out that this place was protected, neutral, but that didn't always mean people listened. Seeing that it was quiet, he'd just rotate his glass on the table before lifting it to his lips to take a long pull from the glass. Kriff, she stocked the good stuff.

"My names is Thai Ves, and yes, I do."

Thai would pause the conversation to mix a drink up for an inquiring customer. It didn't take it her long--the drink wasn't complicated--and after a minute or two she turned back to Aden.

"So you've been many places other than Coruscant then, I would assume?" After she immigrated here as a child, Thai had only left Coruscant once. And it had been just a few days ago. Her experienced with the universe consisted of this planet and the lounge. She was perfectly content with that as well, but she was still curious.

So his hunch was right. Cool. This is a nice place, she should be proud of it. Aden could imagine that a lot of places on these lower levels... wouldn't be that great. But this is a nice place, not just relative to others around it. The drinks themselves are good too, hard to mess up New Alderaan wine.

"Yep" Aden responded to her question. "I'm a spacer, have been since birth. My travels take me far and wide." Aden smiled, he likes his life-style. He charts his own path and any adventures that come of them. Aden would take a sip of his wine again and then would ask her. "Have you heard of the Daedalus by any chance?" he would pause for a bit "It's a large tradeship and community that travels around the galaxy. That's where I was born and raised." he said and smiled. "Since I got my own ship, I can go pretty much anywhere now" It is certainly nice having the freedom to do so, having his own ship.

"What about you? Been anywhere besides Courscant before?" he would ask curiously as he would smile. He would take one more sip of his drink and found it empty. Wanting another one, Aden would then gets some credits and lay them on the counter. "Another, if I may?" it would be enough credits for the first drink, the second one he is ordering right now, and a decent tip. That's probably be the last he has for today.

Ah yes, Clinks this was Laren's new favorite place to be. He has made it here once before but only during the closed hours, so seeing it with people was a whole new experience. As the Mandalorian surveyed the room he took notice of the familiar armor in the VIP section. It was none other than Taldorak. They were familiar with each other after a couple good missions together. Time to see if the VIP was going to be shared tonight.

Making his way over to Tal he looked around and noticed that there were a couple guards. They weren't much compared to Laren, but causing a scene was not the intention for the night. In fact the exact opposite. Seeing a server walk by with drinks on a tray Laren would grab two and finish making his way to the VIP entrance. He handed the drinks to the guards,

"Here ya go big boys, these are for you. Tal, mind if an old friend joins ya?"

It would be the least that the other Mandalorian could do for him after how much Laren helped with his operation. That Hutt outpost was under Tal because of the help from Laren, seemed fair enough Laren could join in.

“Alright, alright, alright…” Stranger took a seat at the bar and chuckled to himself. His BD unit, Furtive, peered over his shoulder and scanned around the room looking over the other occupants. Stranger always had his sly smile on that worked like a perfect poker face. Coruscant was different from when Stranger had seen it last, and he kinda missed it but didn’t mind the minor changes in ruling government. Usually, Stranger tried to avoid places like these, but today was a good day business wise- and he felt that it was appropriate to celebrate such and occasion.

“Do you guys sell…Uh…sarlacc by any chance? I like that stuff smoked and lathered in torgrut- er, I mean sweet barbecue sauce if you got any, heheh.” Stranger scratched the back of his apologetically. Torgrutans did make for a mighty fine barbecue sauce- but Stranger wanted to leave that bit out of the conversation. “I’ll take a side of whatever rumors you’ve got for me. I want a good story.”

"Have you heard of the Daedalus by any chance?"

"I have not," Thai would respond before Aden continued on with his little explanation or whatnot. A community living onboard a tradeship, huh? It must be a pretty big ship then, she would imagine. To be born on a vessel was not unheard of--bad timing was a concept after all--but to have been raised on one was something the Togruta had never hear of before. That was interesting.

"I've been here nearly my entire life," Thai began. "but recently I did visit Chandrila."

At his request for another drink and the show of credits, Thai gladly pulled the bottle back up and refilled his glass. She figured now would be a good time to go speak with Taldorak, but she was stopped by another voice. This one... Thai turned to get a good look at the strange man before her. He didn't seem like the type that frequented her lounge, if her eyes saw correctly, he seemed to be wearing bits of beskar. Yet another Mandalorian? He didn't exactly give her the same vibes as Laren and Taldorak did.

“I’ll take a side of whatever rumors you’ve got for me. I want a good story.”

Thai stared blankly at the man for a moment while she determined whether or not he was serious. She decided to assume he wasn't as he asked her for sarlacc of all things.

"I've got a shot on the menu called rumors but other than that I don't seem to have that for sale," Thai responded humorously. "If you're looking for food, we've got sandwiches, Bantha burgers, Tiingilar..." She put extra emphasis on that last food item. It was a traditional Mandalorian stew, so she figured he might be interest.

"But, if you're actually looking for rumors or stories you're talking to the wrong person."

Thai settled back into her place behind the bar and looked back over toward Taldorak, where a familiar face appeared. Laren. Did he and Taldorak know each other? What a coincidence! Hopefully she'd be able to get over there to talk to Taldorak soon.

Tal would look up at the familiar voice and nod for the kid to enter. "Sure thing, kid. How you like this spot since its renovation? Or did you only recently find this gem?" he asked non-chalantly, one gauntlet drumming away on the brief case beside him. His gaze would shift from Laren to the bar as the overhead light caught a glint of metal. It was easy to tell the difference between duraplast and beskar, especially for a Mandalorian and the Enforcer would sit a little straighter in his booth.

From where they were, neither side could hear what the others were saying, but eyes still worked and the Enforcer was happy that the man at the bar had his back to him. "I might be seeing things.. but we may need to see if the new guy at bar has something that doesn't belong to him." As the glimpse was only momentary, he would wait and watch. He had rules set in place, agreements made, and pacts sworn. "What do you say we check it out?"

“I like that.” Stranger chuckled again at the fact that there was a literal drink called “rumors”. Probably had LSD in it or something. “But I’ll pass on the drink. Bantha burgers, on the other hand, sounds mighty fine, sister.” He said, totally disregarding Thai’s last food offer. He wasn’t Mandalorian, and he could tell by the way the Torgrutan looked at his armor that she wasn’t quite sure either. “I’m not, uh, whatever Fight-Night over there is pretending to be, heheh. Mind me, I don’t mean any disrespect. I just can’t ignore the fact that his armor is just a plain durasteel mockery of the stuff I loaded off a dead body.” Stranger gestured to Taldorak and chuckled.

“Who should I talk to for a good story?” He asked again. “What do you know about the people hear? Anyone worth my little Gambit?” He looked over his shoulders at the other people, briefly scanning over them before facing Thai again. “Got any names?” Furtive swiveled his head to stare at Tal and Laren and chittered something to Stranger. The man took note and readied himself for unpleasantries with the natives.

Thai nodded and punched something into a datapad buit into the bar. Her cook would be receiving an order for the Bantha burger in a few seconds.

“...whatever Fight-Night over there is pretending to be...I don’t mean any disrespect....his armor is just a plain durasteel mockery...off a dead body.”

Thai raised her brows at that one. He wasn't Mandalorian. He was wearing beskar. He wasn't Mandalorian, was wearing beskar, and on top of that referred to either Laren and Taldorak disrespectfully. Yikes. But she continued to listen to his question and pondered for a moment. She knew plenty of the regulars, but she wasn't sure where this man's intentions lied.

"Listen, if you're looking for dirt you'd be better off asking someone else," Thai began firmly, but not unfriendly. "I don't spread gossip. I'm a bartender." That was a bit of a half-truth. She had information, but not just for anyone and especially not the stranger. She was getting strange vibes from him, and the comment about taking armor off a dead body was almost a nail in the coffin.

"Bantha burger!" A man left the kitchen holding a plate. Thai took it from him, thanked him, then set it before Stranger and gave him a smile.

"If you need anything else, I'll be right back." And with that, Thai slipped away from the bar and headed toward Taldorak and Laren. Hopefully she didn't keep him waiting for all that long.

"Taldorak," greeted Thai as she approached the VIP table. "...sorry for the wait, needed to take care of some customers." The Togruta slid into one of the seats, and gave Laren a smile as well.

"...and Laren. Nice to see you here." Thai gave him in particular a warm smile. "A bit of a curiosity though, how common is it for non-Mandalorians to wear beskar?"

As Laren sat he took notice of the exact same idiot that brandished beskar in front of the Mandalorians. A smart man would've hid the rare metal and pawned it off for a ship. This man was wearing it for all to see. That was a rather large mistake. Tal began to speak of going to make an example out of him. Well 'check it out' were his actual words, but knowing Tal it'd lead to a good fight.

"Yea, this di'kut needs to be taught a lesson."

Yes Laren had just sat down, but now he was standing again. Then as he began to exit the VIP he met with Thai. She looked rather fine tonight, but his focus was set on the di'kut wearing beskar in front of him and Tal. She asked the same question he and Tal were asking themselves.

"It's good to see you too, but right now Tal and I need to handle a little business. Let's go vod, got some work to do."

Laren began walking to the stranger and had his hand set on the blaster in it's holster. The second Laren heard anything he hadn't liked he would start blasting, and dueling a Mandalorian is never a smart idea. Beskar or not. Laren brandished Beskar but had painted over it with his black and purple colors. The stranger had it on in obvious spots, Laren knew where to pinpoint a quick shot to deal the proper damages to allow for him to beat answers out of someone.

It wasn't just Laren making his way over either, Tal was there as well. That's double the trouble. These di'kuts should be asking themselves if this is really worth the trouble.

"Hey di'kut! What business do you have wearing that armor? You have no claim. Either you drop it and leave, or deal with Vano's alor this tuur."

Taldorak would offer Thai a warm smile. "No worries, I know you got a job to do." He was also standing, especially after she spoke. "It's not, not if they want to live. Don't worry, I'll take it outside." He'd gesture to the seat. "Briefcase is yours, but after I'm done with Skin Stealer, we'll have a talk, yeah?" he'd give her shoulder a squeeze as he pulled his helm on.

Soon he was sliding into the bar on the opposite side of Stranger, between him and Aden, his armored body protecting the other patron, his peacemaker already drawn. "Up. From this range, I won't miss." For the third time this year, he had his blaster on stun. "Don't make a mess of this place. But.. once we're outside, you can either hand over the armor, or lose your life. There is no third option."

His bodyguards didn't seem to overly concerned, they would just stay with Thai near Tal's booth.

Uhhhhhh

After just hearing the strange one talk and what he said, he got a really bad vibe about him. Call it Spacer's Intuition, or something else; but Aden had a really bad feeling about him. He was just getting red flags and Aden was having a refill of his drink when he saw two mandos coming this way and confronting him. There were also guards and there were weapons drawn. Aden doesn't want trouble, he has no reason to get involved in this, and he doesn't want to be close.

Aden would step out of seat slowly, raise his empty hand up, to make it clear to the mandos he's not a threat and just a bystander, and backpaddle away and create distance from the bar. He would be sipping his drink while doing so.

The U-Wing pilot paid good, hard-earned credits for his drink, he isn't leaving his wine behind.

“Hey, no worries, sister. You’ve got a nice place goin for ya.” Stranger dipped his head to Thai and waited for the other two to sit next to him. Furtive whispered something into his ear and chuckled again.

“Easy with the insults, brother. I’m no threat.” He said to Laren without giving any physical acknowledgment to either of the Mandos. He took a bite of his burger as if everything was normal. “You wanna know how I got the beskar?” He asked the two patiently, taking another bite out of his burger. “This taste so much better than he did…Compliments to the chief, Thai!” he called after finishing his meal.

“Where was I?…Oh, right. He made a bet. We get out of Abyssm alive, and I get his armor. Sadly, he didn’t make it off that god-forsaken planet. One of them trees ripped him in two. Last words were ‘Take it, you damn nerd’. So…I dragged what was left of him back to The Derelict and…well I didn’t have any spare rations…” Stranger burped and chuckled again and finally glanced at the two Mandos. “So I’ve got a deal for you. We go back there- to Abyssm -get the other half of poor ol’ Dredgen and you can keep the beskar. All of it. Except the helmet, heheh. I need something to remember my…uh…friend- yeah, he was my friend wasn’t he…” Stranger went silent for a moment and then barked out laughing, which startled his little BD unit on his shoulder.

“Well, brothers?” Stranger pulled out a jade coin with serpent engraved into either side, seemingly out of nowhere, smiling his ever so sly smirk.

“Wanna get paid?”

Thai put her elbow on the table and her head in her head as she watched the confrontation from the VIP booth she had just arrived it. Her other hand was rested on her thigh just centimeters from the blaster strapped to it. She made no secret that it was there exactly for reasons like this. Usually the presence of guards kept trouble on the down low, but it seemed that would not be the case today.

They better not make a mess. She had just remodeled the bar.

"You men having an alright day?" Thai asked of Taldorak's two bodyguards casually. The Togruta woman figured chatting with them would be better than listening to the strange man with beskar quite literally admit to cannibalism. She made a mental note to check the cameras so she could get his picture. She wouldn't want him coming back.

As Aden was, several of the customers started to back away from the bar area. Though, she did notice, the regulars seemed less concerned. Made her a bit proud inside, if she were being honest. Unfortunately for everyone else, this event wasn't helping her bar.

She hoped they really did take it outside.

Laren listened to the di'kuts words and grew angrier. So not only is the man entirely out of his mind, he is cannibalistic. That's two death wishes he had. The Mandalorian didn't need to speak to display the anger he had building. Instead he simply swiped his dish off the counter and onto the floor. He'll clean it up later out of respect for Thai, but for now he has a problem to deal with.

"When you speak to me you give me your undivided attention. Now get your ass outside so I can deal with you properly you sorry sack of shit."

Laren then kicked the chair out from underneath the strange man.

"Get up you besom chakaar"

Laren knew he was causing a scene, but he didn't care at this point. A chakaar was the most hated of thieves among the Mandalorian race. If it weren't bad for business Laren would have shot the di'kut in the head.
