Riyocho watched the Rodian leave. They didn't even know his name yet. But that was fine. It was probably going to be one of those types of trips. The Rodian had gone to whatever part of the ship he felt safe in.

Turning back to Willa, the pantoran cocked his head to the side. Riyo wasn't about to leave the wayfarer to go looking for Crix and indigo-eyes. "Uh....so have you actually been on a ship before?" Willa hadn't actually said what she could do when everyone was trying to display their readiness to work on the freighter.

Leaving the room and cargo hold without a thought, the pantoran headed deeper into the wayfarer. "you say something about beds earlier? I think they're this way." Soon he would be passing through each side room and opening up the doors. One was clearly the captain's personal quarters which the Pantoran contemplated looking through but thought better of it.

Turning around he headed back past the other rooms and then into what looked like a small break room. A door at the back lead to a larger bedroom with a bigger bed than the other cabins. "Dibs!"

Okay, the Rodian was hella sus. But, like, what choice did they have? And Crix wasn't gonna jump in the cockpit...

"Guess it's gotta be me, peeps," she chimed in, giving a cheeky smirk. "Don't be shocked, I know, but Dad gave me some lessons last summer and I know how to fly these clunkers. No sweat." She gave off a confident smile and an airy kiss to Riyu, then to the rest of them, popping her gum once more before stepping up to enter the pilot's cockpit.

Hell, she could fly this clunker in her sleep most likely. It was just some karkin' freighter. What were they so worried about.

"Heyo~" she almost called in a singsongy voice at the Rodian, giving her best, widest smile. "Hope ya don't mind, Mister, but I'm the one that can fly. Name's Willa. So, where were we goin' again? Corellia? 'Cuz if ya got the time, I know this sick wicked noodle place with soup spicy enough to melt your..." she paused, regarding him, then shrugged. "Sorry, just been a hella long while since I ate noodles."

When she glanced at the controls... she grinned, rubbing her hands together excitedly.

Man, all this work for my learner's permit was sooo worth it! This is gonna be so cool!

"Ready whenever you are," she beamed over at him, brown eyes sparkling. Piece of cake.

Hopefully.

Apparently not listening and doing whatever they wanted was the one defining characteristic from this group, but Preef couldn't complain, not yet. If they got him that cargo then he'd gladly fly them to Corellia, so when Willa entered his cockpit and started rambling he put up with it.. in fact, "You're not talking about "Senjin Noodles" down in Gaulus District, are you?" Kriff, Preef loved that place. "Easily the best on Coruscant," he made it seem like noodles on Coruscant were only mediocre compared to those in other sectors of space and while true, the comment was mostly to create some kind of trust between him and the young human.

As planned the takeoff procedures were done in a jiffy and before they all knew it they were flying in one of Coruscant's many traffic lanes. Preef had switched off some channels on the radio to avoid the spaceport (and the actual captain of the ship) to hail them and they made smooth progress towards the ruins. This was the awkward moment where the little human didn't have anything to do yet, so Preef figured he should keep up the pretense and keep her from looking around too closely or asking too many technical questions he didn't have an answer to. "You know, eh-" the rodian paused, "-I'm Preef, by the way-" he paused again, waiting for her to reply with her own name. "Best noodles I ever had was on Cantonica. They had this Quarren called Visquesh serve guests of the Canto Bight casino's." He kissed his fingers, "Most of those uppity people went for Chandrilan snacks, but at least you and me-" he looked over to her and shot her an approving smile, "-we know what good food tastes like."

Suddenly a bit more serious as he switched lanes to a less crowded one that went over the ranger HQ ruins, Preef appeared to shake his head as remembered something unpleasant. "I do think he was killed when someone robbed the place," poor man couldn't run fast enough, "-this was after I'd left planet, ofcourse."

It took about ten minutes before the specific cargo pad became visible and the three containers on the ground were completely unguarded. "Alright, kiddo-" the rodian pointed towards the middle container, roughly the size of a Serenno mansion and designed with the transport capabilities of the wayfarer in mind, "-you get those controls over there and make sure you attach the grappling arms to the container correctly." the ship would automatically secure the container for hyperspace travel. Not wasting any time out of fear that at some point some nosy security official would start asking questions Preef didn't know the answer of, the rodian steered the wayfarer towards the containers with a slow, controlled and somewhat ruggish maneuver. What? There's a reason Preef is known for his gunslinging and not his piloting okay?

Well he wasn't co-pilot and that was a victory for everyone involved but Crix wasn't the type of person to just sit around while others were working. Instead of just sitting around in the hold or any of the crew areas he whistled one of Willa's song as he grabbed up a tool belt full of equipment.

He didn't really think about why someone would leave their tools around like that, instead focusing on what he could actually do to help and that was work on the engines. Running a hand over the casing of the engines he breathed in deeply.

"Now THIS is an engine... no more swoop bikes for me guys."
he called back to his other friends, "'Course I'll still do custom jobs for you Enby - you'd stab me otherwise, righ'?"

Reading the power output for the engines, he hummed a little bit. There was a small error between the power core for the electronics and the engine itself that was causing a bit of a delay in responsive controls for the pilot and just a touch of lost acceleration. Thankfully they were small issues that could be worked on while the engine was in use.

Popping the cover off the engine, Crix managed to avoid just geeking out over the engine and actually work on fixing it. There was a brief surge where the electronics all got a little bit of extra power but, thankfully, it just made the lights and instruments a little brighter for a second before it calmed down and the blockage was cleared.

"Power's fixed!"

He was liking this gig more and more, even if it was temporary.

Penny was already imagining the triumph when she revealed what was inside the crate. It'd be something like weapons or drugs or other crime-related paraphernalia (that's what her Dad called it) and she'd be so totally right. Then all the others would know that she'd been right all along, that she'd been the sensible, clever one and they should have listened to her in the first place. Then, maybe she'd be cool.

Carefully, Penny raised the box lid, peering over the edge like an archaeologist, savouring the first sight of an ancient relic. There, right in there, she discovered....

Nothing. What the freakin' heck?

There was nothing. A ration bar wrapper on the bottom and not much else.

"Huh..." she muttered, before she felt the jolt of the ship. The crate lid smacked down on her head, sending stars running through her vision. She fell back, rubbing her sore head as she felt the telltale movements of a ship lifting off.

Oh no. Oh crap. Oh shit. I'm STILL ON THE SHIP!!!

Picking herself up, with a bruise the size of Coco Town growing on her head, she rushed towards the engine doorway.

"Crix! We're leaving!!!" she yelled, looking distraught. "Make it stop! We've gotta get off before we're... we're off-world?!"
