BIOGRAPHY
Present: Jedi Padawan
  • Galania (or Lani for really good friends) was born on Coruscant in a family of law enforcers. Lani was supposed to follow in her parents' footsteps, but that wasn't destined to happen. Lani's older sister Nykoria was a member of the Jedi Order. When the Sith activity increased, Coruscant became a prime target. Nykoria wanted to step up against the Sith while keeping her family safe.

    At Kori's behest, the entire family was relocated from Coruscant, much to Lani's dismay. Her older sister's crusade made Lani abandon her old life: friends, school, and home. To top it off Nykoria severed all ties with her family, not even knowing their destination: New Alderaan.

    As time went on, news of Sith activty spread, and anti-Jedi sentiment was on the rise. That's when Lani grew to understand Kori's motives. But alas, she couldn't tell that to Kori herself, and one day she would find out about her sister's disappearance. Despite the galaxy containing millions of Tallises, Lani somehow knew that Kori had gotten herself into trouble. She was determined to seek out the Jedi and learn what happened to Nykoria. Needless to say, the Zeltron's parents were not happy about that development.

    It took a "chance" encounter with a passing Jedi, a broadcast from Sector Ranger Chief Douglas Hudson, and the revelation that Lani was Force-sensitive to turn the tide. As it turned out, Nykoria had concealed Lani's Force sensitivity from everyone to keep her younger sister safe. Determined more than ever to find out what happened to her sister, Lani Tallis agreed to travel to the Jedi Temple and train in the ways of the Force. Both as a way to honor Kori and to continue the family tradition.



PERSONALITY
Present: Jedi Padawan

    • Lani is inquisive to a fault. For example, when told to do something, she'll ask the reasons for it, if she doesn't understand them.

    • On the other hand, she too is very open and blunt about her feelings. Lani will exercise her witticisms even if not asked for it.

    • Like many young people (and Padawans in particular), she has the tendency of "doing the right thing" first and thinking later.

    • Confident in her looks, intelligence, and pheromones, the young Zeltron doesn't shy away from showing it.

    • Like many Zeltrons, Lani likes to be a part of a big fun company, experience the positive emotions, and be in the spotlight.

    • An overachiever, Lani strives to be the best at anything she does. But unlike Kori, Lani is yet to experience moments of great dejection and humility.

    • As Kori in her pre-police-academy youth, Lani has a sparky and rebellious temper to boot. Was there ever any doubt?



SKILLS
Present: Jedi Padawan

    • Self-defense. The Tallises have a tradition of serving in law enforcement. Although Lani avoided that, she still received basic training from her parents and from her older sister Nykoria (in the little time when she was around). She can shoot a blaster, knows a thing or two about hand-to-hand, and trained a little with the electrostaff gifted by Kori. Time would tell if it translates well into lightsaber skills.

    • Physical shape. Most Zeltrons are in excellent physical shape, and Lani is no exception. The training regime in the Tallis family might have had a part in that. Lani's slender build means that she can never rely on brute strength. That's why her focus is agility and acrobatics.

    • Driving. Much like her older sister's younger self, Lani enjoys riding swoop bikes. Unfortunately, she never had a chance to learn how to fly a spaceship. Her knowledge on the matter is limited to the simulators she downloaded from the HoloNet.

    • Force training. Despite lack of training, Lani's potential seems on the stronger end of the spectrum. Unlike her older sister, Lani doesn't have any preference when it comes to Force techniques yet, and strives to learn it all. She still has a long way to go, if she is to reach her older sister's level. But her potential might be even greater than Kori's.

    • Force affinity. She lacks Nykoria's innate talent for psychometry, but telekinesis and self-augmentation seem to run in the family. Just like forming strong bonds with the people the Tallises care about. Thanks to Zeltron pheromones, Lani may have an easier time employing Mind Trick.
