Daesha giggled as Deacon pulled her into the water, drenching her and what she was wearing. The wet garment had lost enough opacity to even make the markings on her hide easily identifiable. The weight of the water trapped in the rather elastic cloth also made it start to sag, revealing an even more obscene amount of skin."Seems it was a waste of time for me to roll my sleeves up, now doesn't it?" she laughed. Using his own grip on her arms, the Togruta pulled her Human companion around to face her and took a quick moment to give his naked form a look over. Very nice.

Taking her weight off of her bad leg, Daesha hooked it around one of Deacon's and wrapped her arms around his neck, both for stability and to pull her body closer to his. Krath, it was a nice body. "So, if you think it's necessary that I shower with you, I think you should help me out of this thing and then, oh, I don't know, maybe you could wash my back too?" she suggested with a saucy smirk.

((OOC: Okay then, so I think we -ALL- know where this is going...))

"That was some cover story," Deacon stated while lying down in the bed alongside the female Togruta, a lazy, contented smile upon his face as he stared up at the ceiling. Hopefully this wouldn't mess up their operational bearing once the proverbial poo-doo hit the fan. The Crime Shadow knew that -he- could separate business and pleasure, but found himself wondering if Daesha could. He couldn't help but wonder after how their morning had kicked off.

It had seemed like her and Shale had a little something going. Now, this mission might be compromised or thwarted if things began to stir within this little triangle that seemed to be forming. Then again, maybe there wasn't much there at all between her and the mercenary. Either way, Deke would have to keep his eye open for any hint of retribution or regret from either, though he highly doubted anything would come of it in that regards by way of the Togruta.

Her actions with him thus far had seemed genuine enough. Perhaps not a life-long partnership type of deal, but at least genuine interest for the time being, and Deacon was just fine with that. He wouldn't mind getting to know her better after this operation... assuming that they both survived it. Reaching over with a hand to take one of hers and hold it, he inquired of her, "So you in this thing jus' for th' money or what?"

A passing thought came and went as he nearly asked her what the deal was between her and Shale, but decided against it as the timing for such an inquiry wasn't exactly right. Lifting her hand lightly up to his face, he tilted his head over a bit to the side and placed a soft, tender kiss atop the back of it. Scooting a leg over against her smooth, hairless calf, he found himself kinda hoping that they would have another day and night to keep this cover story going. Heh...

A panting Daesha nodded her agreement, then rolled onto her side and propped her head up with one hand to look at Deacon a bit better. "Yeah, that was fun wasn't it?" she finally said with a content sigh. She wondered how long he would stay with her tonight, now that both of them were satisfied. It had been a while since she had had a man stay the full night with her, disregarding the previous evening's events of course. She still couldn't remember exactly how Shale had wound up in bed with her. Daesha was fairly convinced that nothing licentious had occurred between them, considering Shale was fully dressed when she had awoken. The Togruta wondered if it was even possible for them to have such relations, considering what he was.

Daesha ceased her contemplation when she felt Deacon's surprisingly gentle hand engulf her own, but a slight upward twitch of her lips indicated her amusement, at his question and the kiss he placed on her hand. "Why?" she asked back to him. "Should I be here for some other reason? One Senator on one world hardly matters to me. I hardly care for the politics of this galaxy. I've spent more of my adult life in hyperspace than on any given world, and I've scraped my living off the demands of the desperate on both sides of this war. In the grand scheme of things, I'm just some other smuggler. All there is for me to gain is money and some infamy. That's if I'm lucky enough to live. And what about you? Why did you decide to organize this motley crew and kidnap the Senator? What do you stand to gain from all this?"

Deacon never had expressed his motives for this job. Even though Daesha hadn't spent a terrible amount of time on Coruscant in the past four years, she knew their street gangs weren't much different from those on any other city planet, and thus common thugs didn't make elaborate plans to kidnap Republic Senators. Just who was Deacon Nash, she pondered. Maybe she would find out in the coming days, but probably not tonight. Their recent exertions had tuckered her out, and her eyes were already half-veiled by leaden lids.

"A lot of credits and a better opportunity for advancement," was all that tuckered Deacon could muster out before rolling over, splaying himself half atop the Togruta female as he forced out a large yawn. Snuggling in close, he grumbled quietly as his heavy eyelids closed, "Don't wake me in the morning." It wasn't but a few moments later, and Deke was out like a light. Not much of a snorer, his breathing was light and shallow.

The lights were bright as Daesha awoke him with a sense of urgency. IT WAS TIME!! THEY HAD TO GET MOVING!! THE TARGET WAS ALREADY EN ROUTE AND NEARLY TO THE AMBUSH SITE!! Moving ever so sluggishly, Deacon tried his best to get dressed and ready to go, but for whatever reason, just could -not- get his body to move as fast as his mind knew he needed to. Something was wrong. Was he drugged? He didn't recall taking any the night before.

Daesha was moving quickly, tautening her bow string. One glance and she began to bark at him to get moving. Why couldn't he get dressed fast enough? Why was his body responding in slow motion? Deciding that he was dressed enough with just his pants on, he moved out the door as fast as he could, which turned out to be a slow, purposeful stride. Krath Damnit!! Why couldn't he freaking MOVE?!?!

Moving down the stairs, everything was going slow. EVERYthing. He rounded the corner to see Shale and Kranon standing ready as the Senator and his entourage moved by. The two donned their gas masks and detonated the canisters. Deke couldn't move fast enough to get his on. Shale looked back at Deacon and yelled for him to get his mask on, but it was too late. The smoke was rolling in Thick!!

Something was wrong though... Shale turned about, shaking his head at Deke's complete lack of competence and response-time, pushing open a door as Kranon did the same from the other side, both of them with their weapons raised. Still, something wasn't right. Deacon couldn't his breath that long and started to inhale the smoke... He didn't pass out. The Canisters Were Bad!! There Was No Knock-Out Gas!!

He tried to holler out and warn Kranon and Shale, but after a moment, it didn't matter. A pair of green glows illuminated the fog as they made quick, horizontal slashes. Deacon heard a pair of thuds hitting the ground, the sound of mortal flesh meeting the cold, hard duracrete. Unforgiving. One of the blades seemed to leap up into the air above, not returning. DAESHA!!!

The Crime Shadow made his way towards the front door. He was no threat. Unarmed and half naked, nobody paid him a second glance. Just as he was stepping out into the street to look up, something fell hard to the ground beside him. Eyes widening in sudden realization, Deacon let out a yell of anger and horror. Half of a Togruta's head laid there beside him. It had to be...

Sitting up suddenly, Deacon blinked his eyes a few times, attempting to catch his bearings as he breathed heavily. He was somewhat sweaty. What a lousy dream!! Glancing over to his side, he saw the shapely Togruta female sleeping there soundly, or at least she appeared to be. He touched a hand gently to one of her lekku. Everything was still intact. Still alive. *whew* Slipping out of bed quietly, he made his way to the refresh to clean himself up a bit and get a drink. Krath... what a lousy nightmare...

The touch to her highly sensitive lekku roused Daesha from her slumber. As she felt Deacon get out of bed, she opened her eyes and raised her head off her pillow a bit. Even though the room was completely black, she could still sense his motion, and she could feel something was wrong. She rubbed her eyes and yawned. It was too early for this. Pushing herself out of bed, the Togruta shivered as the cool air hit her bare skin. The bottoms of her feet stung a bit as she walked towards the refresher where she could here the man moving.

"Deacon? Are you feeling alright?"
she asked with a hint of concern, hoping she hadn't startled him. The red glow from his cybernetic eye was the only illumination in the small, dark room, cast an eerie light about them. Daesha raised a hand up and gave his shoulder a comforting squeeze. She was surprised by how clammy his skin felt, as if he had been perspiring. For that matter, now that she was closer, his breathing sounded a little irregular as well. "Nightmares?" she guessed. It sounded about right. "What's troubling you?"

Daesha moved her hand down from his shoulder to just above his elbow, and brushed up against him with her cheek like an affectionate feline. It must have been a hell of a nightmare. Even though they didn't know each other that well, Deacon certainly didn't come across as the type to scare easily. But who knows, maybe he had ghosts to haunt him too, just like she had Burc and Erik to trouble her, among others. Dexan, those kids on Tatooine... The Togruta stopped and resisted giving her head a shake, shutting down that train of thought. One person with nightmares was bad enough. She didn't have to go around inducing them in herself as well.

Deacon had been filling a glass with water and began to down it as the Togruta walked into the refresher. He hadn't expected her to be awake. Last he knew, she appeared to be sound asleep. Turning his own face to allow for more cheek to cheek contact between the two, he replied, "Didn't mean t'wake you." He paused for a moment, as if contemplating on whether or not to share with her just what he had dreamed of only moments ago.

Nodding lightly, he decided to answer her, though not completely, "Yeah. Mission went bad. Wasn't pretty." Turning about to face her fully, he leaned back against the counter as his arms slipped around her sides. Drawing her closer with intent to press her up against him, he replied, "I've an idea to take my mind off tha' dream... an' t'put you back t'sleep." He quirked a humored look as his hands drifted down to her backside, giving her bare rump a fond squeeze.

While he was still hesitant to just open up and share everything with her, the Crime Shadow didn't have any trouble whatsoever with the idea of sharing the bed with here... again. Planting soft, tender kisses up along her neckline, his voice was quiet as his breath felt warm against her skin, "You're a'ready awake as it is... an' it seemed you enjoyed the last roun' jus' as much as I did..." Pulling his head back a bit, his eye searched her gaze as he awaited an affirmative response.

Daesha looked at Deacon skeptically as he apologized for waking her. "You should touch a girl's lekku if you're looking for her attention," she said bluntly, but with a sideways smile. She placed a few soft kisses along the top of his heavy shoulder, but paused as he responded to her inquiries. So it was bad dreams, and about the mission to boot. Even though she was relatively confident their plan would succeed, Daesha was fairly certain that not everything would go as intended. It was unlikely everyone would walk away from this mission unharmed, and quite probable that someone would get killed. She just hoped that it wouldn't be her.

She ceased her own reflections on the uncertainty of their near future when Deacon turned around and drew her close. Daesha's expression was half way humoured and half incredulous at his proposition. "Well aren't you the keen one?" she chuckled. The Togruta bit back a moan of pleasure as he began kissing her neck, and brushed against one of her lekku as he did so. Whether that part had been intentional or accidental was hard to say. "Fine, you win," she relinquished to his questioning gaze, then added jokingly, "Twist my arm why don't you?"

A few hours later the Togruta woman awoke as sunlight streamed in to the room. She yawned and opened her eyes to see Deacon still sleeping rather soundly. Apparently his proposed solution had worked. That or he managed to avoid waking her again. She tried not to wake him as she lifted her head from his shoulder and slipped from the bed. Daesha went about her ways quietly, stretching her muscles and cracking her joints before getting dressed for the day. She donned the same cropped top she had worn two days earlier as well as a pair of tight, low-riding black pants. She smeared some antibiotic ointment on her feet and wrapped them in fresh bandages before pulling on her boots. As she stepped out onto the balcony into the cool early morning air, she slipped a long leather jacket over her shoulders.

The dusty pink hue in the sky and the golden light shining on Coruscant's incredible spires was a sight Daesha would not have been able to fathom fifteen years ago, when she was a young and aspiring teenager on Shili's sprawling savannah. Even though the area they were in wasn't stellar, it was still fairly pretty to her eyes. Rubbing her arms for warmth, she leaned against the edge of the duracrete railing to enjoy the sunrise. She tried not to take mornings like this for granted, as in her line of work it was possible that any given one could be her last. Burc's death had been a hard reminder of that lesson. She closed her eyes for a moment to enjoy the feel of the wind on her face and lekku. She noticed with a small measure of delight that even the constant hum of speeders along the skyways was somewhat muted in these early hours. With a sigh, the Togruta wondered how many mornings like this and nights like the last were left for her.

It took awhile, but Deacon -finally- awoke some time well after the Togruta stirred and dressed. Lips smacking a bit as he yawned, Deke sat up on his side of the bed, arms outstretched overhead as he stretched. Turning his head and shoulders to either side, his spine crackled aloud and he caught a glimpse of Daesha standing out on the balcony, already dressed. "Good morning," he stated simply, as he himself arose, still in a state of undress.

Retrieving his datapad, Deacon checked about for any sign, hint, or news of their target making a move towards their area. Nothing so far. His public schedule for today didn't seem promising for their endeavor. That was both good and bad. Bad in that they'd have to wait another day. Good in that they'd have to wait another day, heh. He liked the idea of keeping up the cover story he and the Togruta had.

Moving over towards the refresher, he stopped just outside the door as he faced her inquired, "Have you ordered us up any breakfast?" Thinking for a moment, he wondered if they should go out together to eat, or keep to the room and have it brought up. Story could go either way. Regardless, he needed to take a shower and brush his teeth. At some point, he'd need to go back to his place and grab a change of attire.

"It is a good morning, isn't it?" the Togruta replied contentedly from her spot in the rays of early sunlight. The dawn was giving way to later morning as the intense pinks and oranges faded to pale blue sky. She meditated in silence for several minutes longer before coming back inside and closing the door.

Daesha cocked her head in Deacon's direction when he asked about breakfast, but she did answer right away, giving him an amused look. "Do you always shower this often?" she asked. "I know I said I wanted everyone on my ship to bathe regularly, but I didn't mean this." Smirking as she started to make up the bed and straighten the tangled sheets, she looked up as she finally answered, "No, I didn't order breakfast. No room service, remember? And I didn't want to just go wandering off while you were still sleeping. Even if I had, and wouldn't know what to get for you. It's a bit early for mongo beefhead sliders, and I think having them two days in a row is more than enough."

She sat on the edge of the mattress as she began to rummage through her medical supplies again, popping the lid from a bottle and shaking out a few capsules. The painkillers stuck in her throat as she swallowed them and her face crinkled a bit for a moment as she tried to work enough saliva into her mouth to choke the things down. "If you want, I could go pick something up while you're showering," Daesha offered. "How do panna cakes sound? I might pick up a patty frog or two for myself, but most Humans I've met in the past don't have an appetite for them."

Shale brought the ship back into port, landing it softly in the hangar and kicking back in the seat. He looked up at the sky which was lightening quickly with the dawn. He smiled at the sight, Coruscant had such beautiful sun ups. An amazing painting of reds, oranges and purples was on the canvas of the skies, something Shale had never appreciated until he had died. Then he stood up, went to the armory and disassembled the sniper rifle. He removed the bolt and oiled it. He flipped on some old music in his head, an ancient tune.
