BIOGRAPHY
The new Jedi Order adopted new rules, and Altaire and Helana began a romantic relationship. As Altaire's scholarship on Vjun came to an end, so too did the relationship with Helana. Little did he know, however, that he left behind his seed as Helana discovered she was pregnant just one month after Altaire left the planet. With no means of finding her lost lover, she rose Kav alone. Instead of giving the child her last name, she instead gave him a variation of his father's name, a remembrance of a happy time who produced for her a son that she loved very much.
As Kav grew older, however, he did not share the same feelings for the father that he never knew. Instead, he grew to hate his father, and by natural extension, the Jedi. In his adolescence, his feelings became a volatile brew of negative emotions. Jealousy existed for his peers who had both parents. Fear for what would happen to his mother as she would age, not be able to work, and eventually finding herself destitute with no husband to help shoulder the burden of toil and life. A persistent grief overwhelmed him daily for all of the things he would never know and never be taught by a father-figure. But above all, the anger and hatred for Altaire and the Order that he represented fueled young Kav to become hostile to the world around him. The pervasive Dark Side energy that billowed inside his young body was only encouraged and magnified by the planet Vjun which itself was a nexus for the Dark Side of the Force.
But the Jedi were not the only ones interested in studying Vjun or finding the relics of the past. The hidden vestiges of the Sith found great interest in the planet as well. A man that simply called himself "Fulgur" found young Kav. He sensed that Kav was strong in the Force, but he also felt the anger, hatred, and grief within him. Fulgur encouraged these negative emotions and for four years visited Kav from time to time between his travels. Over time, the man taught Kav how to draw power from the Dark Side. He swore Kav to secrecy, gave him a lightsaber, and began an apprenticeship of sorts in both martial training and Force training. Kav proved to be a quick study, and Fulgur exposed himself as a Sith. He promised to take the boy to Sullust to be trained where Kav would serve as a proper apprentice to him. Fulgur did return to get Kav, and he did take him to Sullust. However, he dropped him off and did not return. Upon questioning, Kav was told that no Sith named Fulgur existed, but since his training had begun, he would continue his Sith journey there.
This only served to push Kav further into the deep that is the Dark Side. Once more, a father figure left him abandoned. This, however, hurt more than the first. The relationship, the trust that was built was destroyed. A tactic to drive him further into the abyss called the Dark Side? Perhaps, but a successful tactic should it be.
Personality
Exceedingly cruel, Kav enjoys the suffering of others. This is born out of a desire for others to suffer worse than he has suffered. Kav is an intellectual that prefers the study and manipulation of the Force over physical confrontation. This fits his personality. The lightsaber is clean and efficient. Kav prefers slow and painful deaths.
