Biography: Katherine was born to a family of selectively bred slaves on a world the greater galaxy had never known about. It was ruled by a tyrannical force user convinced of his own divinity, who had sustained himself on the Force, living far past his species' natural lifespan. So greedy was he that he enslaved a significant portion of the planet's meager populace, ordering them to build great works in his name.

The people toiled under harsh suns, cruel whips, and chains for ten generations. They built statues and palaces, paved roads, and cleared land. Katherine was born on the day of the tyrant's apocalyptic force vision. He claimed that the planet would face a great catastrophe, and to avert its destruction, a massive tower would be raised so that he could speak to the heavens. Fearful of destruction, the illiterate and uneducated populace did as he commanded. They gave up their children to the tyrant's barbers, who then conducted experiments in genetics and cybernetics on the new generation.

Katherine worked from dawn to dusk almost every day of her life, helping construct the tyrant's tower. Finally, on the day of its completion, the Tyrant ascended to its peak, and the people gathered to watch in exultation. At the height of their rapture, a flaming meteor struck the tower, sending it toppling into the crowd, killing the tyrant and many of his people.

Despite her panic, Katherine took the opportunity to stage an escape, gathering like-minded slaves who rushed down the shocked slave-masters, killing them and deactivating the explosive collars around their necks. They then ran, day and night, to the tyrant's palace, stealing one of his legendary sky-ships. They kidnapped a vaunted pilot and forced them to help the slaves flee the system.

Regardless of the man's reluctance to do so, he complied and brought them to space; however, instead of taking them elsewhere; he attempted to murder the escaped slaves. Though killed in the attempt, this stranded the surviving slaves in space. Though technologically illiterate, Katherine foolishly took the controls and made an almost impossible hyperspace jump, which only ended when the ship entered the mass shadow of Tatooine, causing them to crash.

Katherine was the only survivor.

Personality: Katherine, in spite of being a terribly traumatized young woman, maintains boundless optimism and curiosity about life and the galaxy. She is ever on the quest for knowledge and new experiences, flitting from one interesting thing to the next in a reckless quest for new things. Regardless, she is often embarrassed about her lack of knowledge and education and can become violent when she feels like she doesn't understand something. This leads to a penchant for piracy, as she doesn't understand basic galactic norms, so if she sees something she wants, she'll fight to get it.

Abilities: A lifetime of manual labor and fighting for survival has left her incredibly fit and well-muscled. She is strong, experienced with many different aspects of construction, and has a rather basic fist-fighting style, making up for skill with raw muscle power.

Because of her selective breeding, on top of her cybernetics, her senses are enhanced, though this isn't necessarily helpful. Her mind isn't equipped to deal with the intensity of her senses. Lights are brighter, smells are smellier, noises are louder, taste is more intense and touch is sometimes excruciatingly sensitive. All of these things might have been an advantage, but instead contributes to massive sensory overload unless she is careful about it.
