DESCRIPTION​

The K-52 Strongarm gunship is an aging but still well regarded small warship manufactured by the Hyrotii Corporation. Based on designs stolen from the Sith during the Sith Wars of the Old Republic era, the type has long been lauded as a sturdy, reliable workhorse, albeit one that has grown a bit long in the tooth.

The Strongarm is 18 meters in length, flown by a crew of 2, plus 2 passengers, 10 tons of cargo and 2 weeks worth of consumables. A pair of outrigger engine pods propel it to 60 MGLT, and the ship has a class 4 hyperdrive. Weapons are slung underneath the main fuselage, and consist of a single heavy laser cannon, 4 medium laser cannons and a bomb chute with a magazine of 20 proton bombs.

Although Hyrotii has never really gotten around to closing its production lines for the type, the Strongarm is beginning to become dated as a front-line attack ship. Nevertheless, the type remains popular with mercenaries, pirates and local militias.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Gunships such as the Strongarm are not considered full capital ships, but their high firepower-to-mass ration requires extensive licensing in most systems.
