Just walking about (ask other than Mrun and me)

Jacob was wandering some of the streets of Iziz, the speckled wonder of the Onderonian empire. While a mid sized metropolis, it had control over a couple worlds in its expansion. Trandosha was sure to be next though the services of Jacob were not needed at the moment. So Jacob had simply been wandering the streets of Iziz mentioning the salvation of Shalharra to those who were interested.

He was a beneficiary of Van Tien's policy which allowed transit between Alsakan and Onderon and had come to Onderon when Alsakan research was more ignored with the Vicar. Onderon on the other hand was happy to have one who could work with chemicals and other fields of research. So far, he simply had installed some chemical weapons on Ambria which would help defend the planet to a degree. He was scheduled to help on Dxun but Macello and Jagged were on Trandosha so he wouldn't be going there till later.

In the mean time, he was on Iziz near the palace. Some palace guards were there and with there help, he could add some chemical defenses to ensure that the very pinnacle of Onderonian power was defended. Since he didn't really know his way around, they would be sure to be of some help and he could certainly learn more about Onderonian culture and ideals simply by talking with them.

He had met one guard a day or so ago that he got along with so he was waiting on a nearby bench till the guard came by and the tour could begin.

Ikairus was leading the current patrol of the palace grounds. His armour was oiled and burnished to a brilliant sheen, spear held high, shield held ready. He saw the scientist he had worked with, his name escaped Ikairus at this moment, on Ambria. An Alsakan of origin, he had emigrated to Onderon to work in a more free area. He nodded to his sergant, telling him to continue the patrol without him. The sergant saluted, and moved off.

Ikairus walked over to the slightly aging man, towering over him in his plate armour. ''Are you not supposed to be working on the defences of the palace today? Do you require assistance?''

 

[Cailst]

"I am supposed to be working on the defenses. However, I'm unfamiliar with the palace so I was hoping you would be able to help as you work here." Jacob said to the man.

They were about the same age but Jacob had been involved in a few more experiments that went poorly. He was relatively healthy but he had a few scars from various green flames and explosions from distillation experiments. Also, a few labs had some toxins that worked slowly.

However, he was able to work at fixing a few of his ailments and they weren't of much concern. For the moment, he was more concerned about some of the defenses he would be constructing. A lot of the toxins worked fairly slowly but they were rather effective. Some were less deadly but they worked immediately. He had a few of them mapped out and he had quite a bit of them were the same as those on Ambria. Though with the palace, there were some modifications based on materials and the fact that important people would be there.

''Well, where do you need to go?'' Ikairus asked the man, tilting his head downwards to make eye contact. Although files said the scientist was only a few years older than the paladin, A lifetime of scientific pursuit had aged him.

"Throughout much of the palace, I wasn't given an exact location." He said.

He got up and fully faced the guard. The guard looked fairly young and was only a bit younger than Jacob. As long as nothing really bad happened, both of them had many more years to go, however, Jacob had to do some more medical research to look younger. Maybe he might even have a chance to look younger than he was?
