PERSONALITY
Jota aspires to greatness. In Cathar, being a successful hunter earns respect and a place in the community, something Jota greatly desires. He is incredibly creative and is always looking for ways to improve the hunt. He respects his family and heritage, and believes everything he does reflects back on his family, and so has a strong sense of honor. He also has a strong sense of community, and treats neighbors as family. Above all else, he is headstrong and focused; he will not stop at nothing to complete his goal. His method and personality often overshadow these goals, no matter how noble they may be. This has caused him to turn into more of a robot; distant, unemotional, logical, determined.​


BIOGRAPHY
Jota loved to bring pride to his family. On Cathar, the best way to do that is through the hunt. When he was much younger and wanted to catch a horned hopper that seemingly could not be caught, he looked to science for help. If he could capture this elusive creature, the rest of the community would respect him and his family. He tried to create a net-launcher that would trace the hopper, but unfortunately his weapon backfired: the net snared him instead and he was left at the mercy of the large creature. Unable to fight back, Jota cried in pain as the hopper ate his protruding right hand.

After that, Jota was unable to hunt effectively, and had to look at other ways to bring pride. Instead of straying away from what caused his injury, he delved further into it. He built more controversial technology, which brought both pride and anger from his community. Many believed his modernization of the hunt devalued the cultural significance that came with it. Regardless, he thought science was his only option, so he began to shut out those who disagreed, including family. After years of tension, he realized his efforts were meaningless, for he was no longer generating pride. However, he did not blame himself, and instead accused his family for not using his scientific mind to their own benefit. Jota left Cathar in search of a community to become his new family, where he could bring pride while also receive respect and appreciation for his talent.​


SKILLS
Jota has a naturally creative mind, which can help him create new technologies. He lacks experience, because of the limited possibilities on Cathar. He has a good sense of smell.​


STRENGTHS
Jota has a lot of experience hunting. He has a keen sense of smell and is quite stealthy despite his size. Obviously he excels in a forest setting, so hunting in a spaceship or a ice planet, for example, is much more difficult.​


WEAKNESSES
He has absolutely no combat experience and horrible social skills. He is also very stubborn.​

GEAR
Jota wears a jetpack, which helped him in the forest when he was younger. Despite not seeing any apparent use for it, Jota decided to bring it to the Accord. On his left wrist he carries small stun missiles which contain nets tipped with stun bolts. When launched, currents of stun energy travel across the net, and wrap around whatever the missile hits. Jota also carries smoke grenades on his belt in case he needs to hide, flee, or reposition. He has various right hand tools:
  • Claw: this is his most common tool, for it acts like a normal enough hand
  • Stun cannon: Unlike the stun missiles, this weapon simply sends a wave of energy that becomes weaker the farther it travels.
  • Knife: When he successfully completed a hunt, it was tradition to kill the animal with a certain ceremonial knife. Now, he uses it to fight close combat battles if he must.
He has a few others and is constantly working on more tools.​

DROIDS
He uses it to carry his different hand options. He calls it J1, and it is a collection of pieces from different generations of astromechs. It is equipped with jet boosters similar to those Jota uses. The inside of the droid is mostly hollow so as to store more tools.​
