Sector Ranger Station, Corellia

The attack on the Ranger station had sent a shockwave through the Galaxy. For someone to have the daring to attack the Sector Rangers, and on Corellia at that, in the very heart of the Free Worlds Alliance. It was unheard off, and it didn't take a Jedi to notice the effect it was having on people. This would spread fear, and that fear would feed the Dark Side. Even if these so called Knights of Ren were mere pretenders, they would know how to feed on that darkness.

They had to act, and act fast. The only way was to find these Knights of Ren, and stop them once and for all. But the fact of the matter was that the Jedi simply didn't have the resources, or the know how, to effectively track them down. But the Rangers did, just like the Jedi probably knew more than them about confronting dark siders. So it made sense for them to work together to deal with this Ren situation.

The idea of the Rangers and the Jedi working together had been floated a few times, it made too much sense for people to have not thought about it. But for one reason or another, it hadn't happened so far. It was her understanding that the Jedi hadn't kicked off on the best of terms with the Rangers, and a bad first impression could go a long way. But that was some time ago, and things were different now. It was time to make this formal.

She had made an appointment and made it to the station, but had found the place in a state of chaos. "Lieutenant Aran?" She asked as she walked up to the woman who seemed to be in the midst of all activity, seemingly coordinating the relocation from the attacked station to a new location. She didn't even need to stop anyone to ask for the woman, it had been easy to recognize her face from her appearances on the holonet, and she seemed to like to be in the thick of things. "I'm," she paused as she stepped out of the way to let some officers walk out of the building with a pile of boxes, "I'm..." she had to move again as someone barked at her to get out of the way as they passed by pushing a trolley loaded with equipment. "I'm your two o'clock, should I just come back another time?"

Trys had taken a trip to Corellia almost immediately after the attack. She had attended the funeral, commiserated with fellow Rangers, and promptly made her way over to the Ranger Station on Corellia. Trys was provided a temporary office as she began to figure out what kind of investigation needed to be conducted to peel apart what happened. She knew a few Rangers were on the case already, but her focus was more on piecing everything together.

She had an appointment on her calendar with a woman that identified herself as a Jedi. Initially, Trys hesitated slightly, but she relented after admitting that their help was needed to stop these Force users. By the time the woman arrived, Trys was hunched over her desk, cigarra hanging from the corner of her mouth. She was poring over a large diagram that had the schematics of the Corellia station and ways in and out of it.

Trys didn’t bother looking up when the woman mumbled about coming back, “No, come in and have a seat,” She marked a few things on the schematics with a pen before finally looking up at the Jedi. Trys looked as if she hadn’t slept in days, and there were dark circles under her eyes. She had always been a workaholic, and her recent promotion only tripled her workload. It didn’t help that she was also highly targeted by the red sabers.

“Sorry about all the chaos,” She nodded her head towards all the boxes and yelling outside, “We’re all still reeling from what happened,” Trys took a seat across the woman, sighing as she blew out a cloud of smoke away from the woman and out the open window behind her, “How can I help you?”

Vin hesitated for a moment before stepping in and taking the offered seat, fascinated by the efficient chaos of the bodies moving outside the office. Everyone seemed to be coming within inches of crashing into each other, yet they all seemed to know just where they were going.

"I.." Vin said as she entered the office, taking one last glance at the activity outside, "I can see that." Seated across the Ranger, she wondered how long it had been since she had a good night's sleep, noticing the shadows under her eyes, and noticing the tiredness that hung to her in the Force. Yet there was also resolve, and strength.

"I won't take up too much of your time." She said, never really having been one for small talk, nor did she think the Ranger had the time for it. "These red sabers that you spoke about on the holonet, you must know that the Jedi have a interest in them as well. Something both of us would want to change. But while many in our ranks are eager to help, few have the knowledge or experience to know how to find them. But you do." She paused, wondering how best to breach the next topic. She had known more than one member of law enforcement, and had not known many to take well to potential criticism. "And I feel that we might be able to help you understand these red sabers a little better, to help you be more prepared to deal with them in the future."

Looking back towards the chaos outside for a moment, she couldn't help but wonder how things would have turned out if more than one Jedi had been at hand to offer their assistance. "I come with a proposition. Jedi and Rangers, working together, learning from each other, combining our strengths to track down and deal with these red sabers. These dark siders. I know Jedi involvement might not have left you with the best of impressions in the past, so we are willing to work under your jurisdiction, to follow your rules."
