Devil. Dumbass. Jarhead. Murderer.

Personally, I prefer Marine, but those work too.

My name's Joachim Delenzik, Captain in the RMC and slayer of many a Hutt soldier. The youngest son of the Commandant and brother to a Jedi Master also in the Corps, you could say I've got a lot to live up to. Thankfully I've been blessed with such an awesome life so far.

It all started twenty three years and nine months ago. Dad had just come home from a major Republic victory somewhere after being gone for quite some time and mom missed him a good deal. They were reunited on Carida, the homeworld of the Marines, where thousands more are forged every year. I'm assuming you can imagine the results of a marrried couple being reunited after a year or so combined with some Coreillian whiskey.

Before long dear ol' dad was out on deployment again and a few months later I was born, all eight pounds of me, the next Marine of the Delenzik family was born. Woopee.

The schooling on Carida for the children of active Marines is actually pretty impressive, rivals the expensive private schools of upper Coruscant, or so I'm told. They had to be. They were built to raise the next generation of government funded killer, ahem, soldier. We were spoon-fed propaganda about how great the Republic is and how the Chancellor is an awesome person, and how Jedi are basically our personal divine saviors. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my nation and the Jedi are some cool guys, but having to take classes based strictly on Jedi history and the Force was a bit of a pain in the ass. Valuable time I could've spent on PT, in a simulator or on the range.

Anyway.

I spent roughly the first fourteen years of my life in their before switching to an early version of OCS. It was four years long and made it so Officers could be in the field by age 18 as opposed to doing a six month term in the academy after boot. After my four years were up and I finally got to kriffing serve in real battle.

It's been five years since my first deployment, all the way back when we were still in the First Hutt War before the champs up top gave in to the slugs. I mean, I've been fed a lot of bantha shit in my life, but I really don't think we had to bend over and call that one quits. It's whatever though man. That stuff's way above my paygrade. After all, I'm just one Marine.

And all we do is kill who's in front of us without question anyway. I say that right, Senators?
