It all started with a single thread to have some fun and get a feel for the character:
The last sentence was where the thread could grow into a plot, or a series of plots. The first Jedi team (@Catbert, @Charndley, @Lavi) can't continue the mission right away due to injuries. If the Jedi want to finish it, another crew is needed. Not to mention that a Sith (@The Captain) is lurking in the temple now, eager to learn its secrets.
From there, things could get as big (or as small) as they need be.
That is, if both sides are interested in the Temple. And if taking over it for one side or the other would even be allowed; I have next to 0 experience in Big Plots™ and how long it'd take. It's probably more complicated than I think.
Ideally, it would be a proxy conflict between the Jedi and the forces spurred into action by the Sith. That would give room for other kinds of activities (diplomacy, moving supplies, helping the locals) and make it more believable than a lightsaber battle on the Temple's stairs.
P.S. And the lower the risk of character death, the better. @Nykoria Tallis has done so little yet, that losing her early wouldn't be worth it. I definitely wouldn't want to involve her in death-enabled threads just yet. But I guess it depends on how you approach your characters; maybe some other people are more inclined to getting involved in such matters than I am.
Either way, I'm just pitching an idea for now. It doesn't have to be me who sets up a plot (although I may do it and make a writeup of the Temple, if there's interest among the Jedi). @The Captain was also interested, I think (but on behalf of the Sith). Maybe it won't even grow beyond this single encounter. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A derelict temple (which may or may not be this one from canon) was rediscovered by the locals on the planet of Ontotho. People went missing, Jedi came to the rescue. Unfortunately, they had to fall back after dealing with the Temple's initial defenses. The missing villagers (or their bodies) weren't recovered. Perhaps another expedition is in order, if only to give their relatives some closure.

- The ultimate goal of the Jedi could be to gain foothold on Ontotho. Maybe secure permission from the planetary government and local Fylari to set up an outpost in or near the temple.
- The Sith would want to take over the temple as well. This could be done by stirring up civil war between Fylari and the government (so that the Jedi would withdraw or get too busy with that), or by showing the Jedi in the bad light, so that they'd be shown the door.
