Hello and welcome to an explosive episode of the Jedi newsletter!
So lets start off with the big news. The Jedi, in an act that puts them back on the map, have discovered a Barabel nest on Jedha! We get baby Barabels, imagine all the money we'll make selling cute baby-groot dolls. I mean baby barabel dolls! Oh and the Sith blew up Tython, a Jedi killed the Emperor and we also blew up the Moff Council. But those barabels!!
Now, as I as asked to explain this in some detail, mostly because no one knew about the barabels, I'm gonna share some details regarding the other stuff. The Sith, in concluding the story arc that started with the capture of Darth Solum and the Sith attack on Coruscant, have destroyed Tython. Here's the thread for anyone interested. For anyone not aware of what and how they managed to do, the Sith Dark Council infiltrated Ilum and took control of a giant Kyber crystal. Focusing their combined Force energies into the crystal, they were able to create a Force powered Death Star of sorts. The planet is not completely destroyed, but the surface has been turned into the worlds largest setting of the floor is lava. The Jedi Council, and much of the Jedi Order is now dead. The Jedi Army now makes up the vast majority of the remaining Jedi in the Galaxy. But we also have barabels now!
Onto some better news, not barabel good but still. The Sith launched a number of missions on Chandrila and during the course of one of those threads the Sith Emperor Kyuss was killed by @Sreeya's Jedi Shae. In recognition of her actions Shae has been promoted to General. Also promoted to general is @Valen Pelora's Jedi Valen. Valen is also joining the Jedi leadership as an AFL. Unfortunately @Rom will be stepping down from the Jedi leadership due to being low on time.
Oh and in a heinous plot involving @Phœnix's Jedi Corvo and some extra dumbass' Jedi Valin, the Moff Council was bombed and 8 members of the Moff Council were killed. It flew a little under the radar but I thought you guys might wanna know about it. So in recognition of this action, and his actions since joining the Jedi, Corvo is also promoted to General. So we now have 4 generals, @Toasty's Ken, @Valen Pelora's Valen, @Sreeya's Shae, and @Phœnix's Corvo. Oh and for his part in all this my Jedi Valin is being promoted to prisoner of war, because the Jedi don't really trust him. What with him being a Moff and all.
Which brings us to some serious stuff, the direction of the Jedi going forward. As @Vosrik has started the thread where he ICly steps down the new leadership will be taking over IC. The direction of the Jedi, following the destruction of Tython and with the Sith thinking the Jedi went all in with the attack on the Off Council, is going to be one of increased aggression. While the recently posted Jedha mission pack will give us a new temple to replace the one we lost on Tython, our main focus will be in striking against the Sith. So keep an eye out for sign ups for missions and feel free to come in like a wrecking ball in Sith territory!
