Greetings, Jedi!

I really want to write a Jedi character, but I want him to have very human motives. He's not all "I just want to rid the world of evil Sith" - even if that is one of the collective Jedi goals that he works for as a Jedi.

That said, I'm finding that it is quite difficult for me to come up with a fitting motive, and so I want to ask you:

Could you tell me your Jedi's motive for living his/her life and acting as he/she does? It might get the creative juices flowing!

Thanks!
Casmer.

Akasha Sulis, link in my signature, was born a slave on Ryloth. Her mother died in child birth but Akasha was taken away from a life of slavery by a kind woman who raised her as her own.

As a Jedi, Akasha has spent years working to end slavery as well as many other crimes throughout Hutt space particularly on Ryloth. Pending a couple future events, I plan on working to expand her IC background in actual RPs.

Jedi Knight Jakpo As'kin:- Since a young age, this Bothan has understood the Force in a way that he has felt was unique to him. It perfectly shows the principle of the Jedi, in that we are embodiments of the Force, and that eventually we will join the Force.

He is more akin to the Order than the Army, as such he spends most of his time trying to train the initiates, over combat with the Sith. He has a dim view of conflict, even to try and avoid it in conversation.

If it helps, I view Jakpo as a mix of Airbender from Avatar, and my view on a Monk; a mix of Buddhist Monk, and Western Monastic Monk. His focus is almost obsessively being attuned to his perception on the Flow of the Force, this'll lead him to all sorts of things.

Hope this helps.
