DESCRIPTION
The J-9, or "Javelin" as it's been dubbed, was a light repeater developed and produced by the SoroSuub Corporation. It made a name for itself as a more compact and lighter, modern and more compact, alternative to the older T-21 light repeater several decades after the destruction of the Galactic Empire. It was reliable and very versatile, making it a good all-round weapon to have. It's compact form and lighter weight made it great for front line combat, walking fire and various other uses. It was also a lighter option to mount on vehicles and also had a slot for connecting an external power source if needed. Its slower fire rate compared to bigger repeaters made its 50 round power cell quite usable as well. It came standard with a 1-4x scope that could be easily detached in favour of either its iron sights or better optics that the user might prefer as well as several mounts for different mods. Another setting that made it better than its opposition was its semi-automatic setting and the stun mode that came with it. Favoured by prisons, this setting made quick work of large groups in a safe, non-lethal manner. Unfortunately, the stun setting could only be used in the semi-automatic mode.
The weapon can be found all over. In the hands of civilian collectors, pirates, and planetary forces alike.
LEGALITY
Legal. Aside from some restrictions and hoops to jump through for civilians for being an automatic weapon, it is very common and found all over. It's really easy to get one's hands on a Javelin, legal or otherwise. INTENT
