The silver is replaced by red and the the plume is gold..cause that's what I envisioned the Captain of the Guard's armor looks like.

BREAKING NEWS

Elite Senate Commandos bust drug ring on Coruscant, including a senator! Led by Senate Guardsmen Captain, Jard Carrick (whom is the Captain of the Guard), the team breached in using explosives...

I turn off the TV. I don’t like the glory, I’m in it for the Republic. For this great Republic. I was born on the planet Taris, and I moved to Coruscant at a young age. I watched the Senate Commandos train from my father’s window when I was young. My father was a senator. My mother died while giving birth to me. When I was a young man, I joined the Republic Marine Corps. Earned a reputation there. Fought in quite a few battles in my 47 years. Then I was extended an offer for the Senate Commandos. How could I refuse? Protecting the very people that led this great Galactic Republic. I joined up without asking questions. I was originally posted as a Lieutenant Marksman, but I rose through the ranks quickly.

That’s my job. My family? I don’t have very good relations with them…My wife said I worked too much. Always off, fighting one battle or another. She divorced me and took my kids, Allesha and Dante. Damn her…I love my kids enough, but she took them from me! Sighing, I take another sip from my Fire whisky.

But unfortunately for them, I love the Republic more. This is my life, protecting the leaders. I down the rest of the whisky and throw it against the wall, where a dozen other lay. Protecting this damned Republic. From this threat and that. And what do I get? I get a bitch of a wife and two ungrateful brats for children. I like my boss more then I like my wife…

I think I’m going to get completely hammered tonight…And then the memories return...

The Charge of the 46th Marines

Running forward, rifles in hands, we rush onwards. To which our fate is unknown. Explosions rip apart the landscape as we charge. Men disappear in clouds of grey and brown. I think this is where I realized I was in a war. The flashes of light and roar of explosions no longer scare me, I no longer fear for my life. We scream our war cries, fighter bombers streak above us. Something explodes in front of us. We hit the ditch that keeps us safe from the enemy fire. I glance at my friend who was next me, when I realize he has joined the Republic’s martyrs. A lesser man would have stopped here, given up. But we were Marines. And that was me. I turn to my men, and scream “Come on you bastards, do you wanna live for ever!?!” and with that, we charge over the side into the battle.

Homecoming

I come home to my wife, I’m 22. Her beautiful face bears an ear to ear grin. I embrace her and she begins to cry. She holds me so close. This is the hardest part, the coming home. Because I know I’ll just have to leave again. I remember the men we lost, every one of them. The letters I wrote to each family. The tears I shed as I did so. But tonight, I belong to my wife.

Miracle Number One
I’ve named him William, after my father! He’s such a beautiful boy. My own son. Bright blue eyes like me, and blonde hair like his mother. Looking back now, we had many good times between deployments…he joined the Army…He’s dead now…

Many Years Later
My wife has left me, I’m 32. She took all three of my children. Eleanor, William and Derek… That’s about the time the nightmares began. The nightmares were followed by the drinking. The nightmares were of fields of battle, dead men, my family gone. I would wake up screaming…Then I would drink several shots of Fire Whisky.

An Offer of Extreme Importance
I’m 39 now…And I’m a Colonel in the Marines. I’ve dealt with my PTSD, but the drinking is still there. I was back home, it was after an extremely satisfactory night with a lady of ill repute. That’s when I received the offer. I was invited into the Senate Guardsmen. I started out there as a commander, but after the Hutt Attack on the Senate succeeded and the attack on Alcor Bac and Chancellor Mohatu, I replaced the old Captain of the Guard.

Present Day…
Today, I protect Chancellor Hoshiko (Who in my opinion, is the best looking Chancellor we’ve ever had). We have somewhat of a friendship, and I’ve been there for her since she was in Office. I have a good relationship with my men, and keep a

LOL. I was thinking more along the lines of a small drug bust blown out of proportions by the press.

lol but seriously... read that, and visualize him sitting there, hair disheveled, had not shaved in a few days, the whole scene is black and white, except for just his armour which is coloured blue for contrast. and perhaps his whiskey.... and boom you have the opening of a Sin City chapter

...LOL. That would be epic, but I'd also put the red armor details in addition to the blue. Because red contrasts with black and white beautifully.
