Iviinyc's Beskar'gam

Flight suits normally are little more than sealed jump suits to protect against the natural dangerous of space travel. Iviinyc has customized her's to be more in line with her extra-vehicular focus. Boarding actions and ship to ship combat are what she has in mind when wearing this armor. This is also mostly what she has to scavenge from in her time on her own. In case his ship becomes damaged or he need to hop over to a new one. This is what helps him last in the vacuum of space. It is a relatively heavily armored suit compared to many other armored flight suits are used by other spacers. Even Iviinyc's lekku are covered by an armorwearve covering to help protect in a fight. The twi'lek primarily relies on handheld weapons to respond to threats and has focused on survivability with her own armor.


LEGALITY

Mostly legal. Mandalorian armor, though rare, is not illegal in most places. That said, wearing a full face helmet in public spaces is frowned upon, and often illegal in many core worlds, especially in or near government facilities- not to mention that many identification cards in various systems require a full face photo. This drives many strict adherents of "the way" to operate exclusively on the fringes of the galaxy

INTENT

A personal armor for Iviinyc Eldar. I intend to also use it to track any personal changes or upgrades maybe.

Type and Coverage

Type: Light Armor (medium maneuverability)

Coverage: 3


  • Head: Front and back of the head and neck.
  • Torso: Chest and abdomen.
  • Lower Arms: Hands, wrists and forearms. (beskar)

Functions


Function 1: Rebreather
  • Rebreathers, whether built into a helmet or a separate mask, allow for the wearer to breath underwater or in space for brief amounts of time by scrubbing CO2 from their exhaled breath and recycling it. Generally this lasts for up to 5 posts, but heavy exertion can shorten that time.
  • Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 2: Emergency Vac-Seal
  • It's no replacement for a dedicated spacesuit if you intend to EVA, but this under suit, when combined with a helmet, can protect the wearer from the immediate effects of exposure to a vacuum for up 5 posting rounds. You still need a way to breathe, however.
  • Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 3: Utility HUD
  • Reads atmosphere composition and detects toxins, has also 4x magnifier, rangefinder and compass.
  • Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 4: Armorweave Accessory
  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.

Function 5: Mag-boots
  • Magnetic boots contain electromagnets in the soles and allow for enhanced movement on ferrous surfaces in microgravity or steep gradients. This functionality must be turned on or off manually by a button or switch.
