Ellora, such a tumultuous planet. Nestled in the depths of the unknown regions of sector space, a world that throughout the annuls of time had once been a seat of an Ancient Jedi Temple, later laid waste to, by the Sith. A sequence of events that seemed to repeat itself over the centuries and millennia as if it were as nothing more than waves crashing into the shore and then retreating over and over again. Much like the constant crashing of the waves, the original light of the Ancient Jedi world had been ravaged by time, eroded away by countless centuries of the consuming corruption of the Darkside seeping further into the world's essence with each passing swelling of the tide.

The planet had long since reverted back to its dark, desolate state, ridden with continuous lighting storms, that would blacken the skies with its thick clouds, the only light to touch the planet's surface, being the bright flashes of arching electricity that thunderously cascaded along the cloud line. The Air was thick with the corruption of the Darkside, the local fauna and flora twisted into predatory and poisonous states. However despite how far reaching the influence of the Darkside can be on a planet, there was always the risk that the Jedi and their irritating knack to 'redeem and heal' worlds - may one day occur on this world, Something that the Sith Lord intended on preventing by ensuring that should the Jedi were ever to return to this world, they would suffer for their trespass.

The Sith Order was now widely out in the open and gradually increasing its sphere of influence in the worlds surrounding Moraband, Sullust and Eriadu, resulting from the driving campaigns lead by her fellow Darths. Darth Ceryx however had set her sights to worlds beyond the sight of the rest of the Galaxy, having already established her control over Bakura, a remote and backwater world that stood as the gateway between the Outer Rim and the Unknown Regions. The Sith lord saw only to expand the planetary influence of Bakura and its neighbouring planets, establishing a loose alliance of planets that in the public eye would look little more than sectorial partnerships between worlds supporting each other - under the guise of her capacity as a Politician, however as the shadowed persona of the Sith Lord, Ceryx would seek to restore the Sith's reach and foothold within the Unknown regions once again.

Making use of the Order's assets available to her, the Sith Lord had taken control of a small expeditionary Force to venture out into the Unknown regions, headed towards Ellora. As a matter of respect and curtesy, Ceryx had informed the Dark Council Member @Darth Malicia of her intentions as well as extending an open invitation to her fellow Lords, providing them with a message with the coordinates, her plans and an invite to help her claim this world and bend it to their will. Those who would choose to make the journey, was however unknown. Though the word was out and even if none of the other Sith Lords had the capacity to join her, any and all Sith were welcome to follow her to help claim a foothold in the unknown regions.

Stepping down the loading ramp, the Sith lord made her way towards where the ranks of Legionary soldiers were massing, along with the few handfuls of Acolytes and Marauders she had taken into her command, as well as any others of the Sith ranks that wished to join on this venture. Her mind opening into the Force and allowing for the raw potent strength of the dark side to run through her, savouring for a moment the violent power that resonated across the world with each lightning strike that ripped across the skies above. Her eyes, narrowing as they phased into a milky white hue set upon the distant flickering lights of what from the scans had indicated to be one of the few remaining settlements on this world ahead of them.

Lowering her hand to her side Ceryx wrapped her fingers around the hilt of her lightsaber. "Lay the settlements to waste. If they bend the knee cease your attack. If they choose to resist, then they are of no use to us. Slaughter them until they finally choose to yield" The Sith lord instructed, as she turned her gaze over the amassed ranks around her. Before stepping forwards and leading the way towards the settlement.

Standing among the Legionaries, Algus rescinded to unremitting stillness, his arms coiled around his thin body while his unblinking eyes pierced forward into the stormy skyline. Alertly, he listened to Darth Ceryx with sensitive ears, occasionally tearing at the scabs that adorned his lips with his upper teeth. He knew many would die today, and the torn firmament of Ellora’s horizon seemed to know as well. It twisted in hot flashes of light, raging a perpetual war that illuminated craggy obelisks of stone and permeated the air with the smell of aluminous ionization. A stage was being set and once again he had abandoned himself to fate. He would play his part, an actor in a grand play.

He knew little of the Sith’s inner politics, but he did know of the Jedi. Despite his views on their self-imposed limitations, he knew that without prompt and brutal action, they would return to Ellora. They were animals, much like himself, but cut of a different cloth, and survival of their order determined that they would return to the planet unless a fatal blow had been struck. He imagined that Darth Ceryx knew this as well and intended on finishing the job. The Jedi were many things, but undetermined was not one of them. He saw that on Ajan Kloss, and in the kind-eyes of his master. They were warriors.

Turning, he moved with the legion, towering over them while his artificial legs clanked with each heavy step; his robes billowed behind him while his fingers sought the familiar feel of his lightsaber. Its hilt was the same, ragged, and entwined with ancient leather, but its blade shed a different color now. It was the color of his passion and was uneasy like his fear. This would be its first bloodletting. A righteous cause, every life snuffed by its ardent hum would bring him further to his goal, and with the Jedi gone, maybe then, the galaxy would finally be safe.

"Reminder that should any of you receive wounds you're unlikely to recover from to alert the medical team immediately so we can stabilize your injuries until we reach our laboratory. A corpse can only take up space but a live subject can provide countless hours of good research." R5-9A beeped helpfully to his assembled team. A nearby protocol droid provided the translation for anyone who couldn't speak Binary. R5-9A, as he was accustomed to, was leading the medics on this particular mission and while he would provide medical assistance to the best of his ability, he relished the thought of some mortally wounded patients to experiment on. He'd been conducting a study on high-risk cybernetics and such subjects would be perfect for his purposes.

As he charged out, he was flanked by two Human medics - clumsy as organics were wont to be but knowledgeable about medicine enough for the battlefield. The two medics were armed and would provide covering fire, should R5's more precise and experienced medical work be necessary today. But even if they weren't, R5 carried with him a WESTAR-37 blaster should an enemy pop up.

OOC: Sorry for the delay, Work has been pretty heavy over the past few weeks :S, still got a moment to post and get things rolling

Atmospherics

As the Sith forces closed in on the settlement ahead of them, the skies above lit up with a series of brilliant white flashes that cascaded along the clouds above, streaks of white and blue forking light ripping over head as if the skies were being torn to shreds. All swiftly followed by the echoing and booming sounds of thunder resonating from the skies above, ringing off of the mountains and crashing into the ground where the foot soldiers, Sith acolytes and marauders were swiftly pacing along behind the Sith Lord. The Force attuned world clearly reacting to the growing darkness that was swelling around the advancing Sith, feeding off of the building intent to lay waste to the denizens ahead of them.

Sensing that something was coming, the lights within the settlement ahead started to flicker brighter for brief moments as the natives stepped out of their huts and shelters to investigate why the skies were reacting more violently than usual. Some stepping further carrying torches and pointing them in the direction of the advancing Sith force. Allowing them to take sight of the armoured and helmeted visages of the Sith as they drew closer, it was within the first instance of the panicked shouting that the Sith Lord ignited her lightsaber, with a brief flash of red the blade erupted into life before stabilising on a rich purple hue.

The Sith Lord's pace quickening into a purposeful stride, before it gradually built into a charge as the sound of bell being rung resonated out from the village. Seeing the bell as a warning signal to the rest of the village, Darth Ceryx wasted little time in ensuring that any form of defence being established by the natives was prevented. Not looking over her shoulder to gauge whether the others were following suit, the Sith lord closed the distance between the Sith Forces and the settlement at a full sprint.

Her mind opening fully into the force as she channelled the dark side energies through her and bent them to her will, her blood pumping through with a surge of adrenaline and energy through out her body, feeding off of the residual dark side corruption that had engulfed the planet and pooling it into her own strength and will. As the sight of the outer walls of the settlement came into clear view in the darkness of the night sky, the Sith lord stretched out with her free hand and unleashed a blast of concentrated force energy, ripping out from Ceryx's palm and streaking towards and crashing hard into the wall in front of her, the shock wave sending chunks of stone and masonry into the compound of the settlement.

As the Ceryx lead the forces into the breached defences, her attention moved towards the nearest natives that were attempting to protect their settlement, raising their weapons in an attempt to strike at the Sith lord, only for it to be cut short with a flash of purple light that bisected them in a single strike. The area around the settlement was soon flooded with a mixture of strobing light from the cascading lightning over head, the flickering of the torch and braziers and the rain of crimson flashes of blaster rifle fire as the Sith Troopers opened fire on the settlement. Yet despite getting the initial upper hand in breaching the settlement's walls and establishing a foot hold, they still had the rest of the settlement to sweep through and cleanse.
