As some of you might know, I started a project in January known as the Six Degrees of the Force.

While I really enjoy making it as I really felt it offered people many possibilities regarding the development of relationship between characters and also gave the opportunity for lesser known member to meet other members.

It was somewhat successful at first, but the interest drastically dropped within 2-3 weeks. I understand that we were still pre-timeline and most people didn't know which character they would be using for DotR.

Still, it made me wonder if it is something people would actually appreciate and would consider helping to develop.

So please let me know if it is something that you would actually like that I keep up during the timeline or if it is not worth it (by checking the "interest-check" option in the poll.

Secondly, I was wondering which style you guys would prefer for the chart. Something more plane/linear or something circular? Please let me know by answering the poll with the option you prefer.

I love the circular, but I feel it could get confusing as things go on.

Keep this going my man. Interest may die out over time, but it will also rise. Characters are always forming relationships with other characters, thus ensuring your ideas survival. It is neat, unique, and fun.

Keep working on it my man!

Just so you know I read this idea a while ago I believe, but hadn't set my character up enough to show interest - was still learning the site. Love the idea, and the ability it gives to develop inter-personal character plot advancement, outside of faction missions too. I would love to involve this character of course, my mind is more focused around the few plots I have going and in the works; but if you can think of an interesting role a Sith/Criminal could fill, I'd definitely help contribute.

The circular does look amazing too, but without being able to rotate my laptop to look at it, i imagine it getting very confusing later on, as well. :P

Please continue this, @Aberforth. I think the reason interest died down is that once people put their characters up, they have nothing left to contribute, really. Now, with roleplays going, the active contributors will bring others into this. I would still like to see it stickied.

@Aberforth I am still in! Please note that it will take some time for me to finish my second character (Decim), though the connection for Dalrel still apply as before. I will be happy to keep my characters updated with new alliances, hostilites and what else on this during play, as good as I can. So, everyone, please feel free to tag me in.

Btw: While I think the circular image looks quite nice, I am sure it will get crowded and confusing really fast. Therefore, I voted for the linear one.

I did not know about this pre-timeline. I think it's a great idea and could work well if done right. While I agree that the circular one would get confusing after a while I also think the linear one that's up there is very confusing, at least to me. Once I looked at it for a minute I got the gist, but the circular one I understood right away. If there was a way to make the linear one more focused/clean it might be less confusing. Maybe having characters in straight lines to the left and right instead of being all over the place...? Just a thought. :)

I think you should continue this project! I'd bet it will end up being incredibly helpful for those of us with indie characters.

I'm all for it, it's a great concept. Though it's a bit hard to know when a player goes away and all that, which will probably mean a lot of unnecessary characters/clutter down the line.
I think you should start from zero, only with characters who are already posted, obviously, and maybe have two separate threads, one to discuss connections and the official one with the graphics and submission form.

Agreed - reboot it and get it going with the new TL launched. I didn't join in last time because I didn't know what my character would look like and who he'd know. I have some of those answers now so I'm in!
